Its just a knockoff VR chat / SL (G rated). Wouldn't be terrible if they actually put in the effort into expanding the codebase and world building tools. That and with the Quest 3 holiday rush its mostly infested with nine year old squeekers screaming non-stop.
I can't believe how crappy Horizon worlds is, with so much money dumped into it. There really is nothing to show for it. There might be over a thousand worlds with all the stuff that people have created and there is exactly zero people in all of them. They say there are hundreds of thousands of users per month but every time I go in I recognize so many names when I go into venues, and then into the comedy place. And then besides that one starter world that you go into with the basketball court and the paper airplanes, that's it. And that meta Court thing that is in there is absolutely useless
@@MrForbiddenmusic Eh. I mean they are just doing their jobs doe. I wouldn't attack the workers. I would criticize the people who came up with the game.
Damn bro I thought I was watching the video of someone with like half a million subs at least! You have to keep making videos. You have a lot of potential.
Oh my god, people… There’s no S, it’s just Horizon! No, but seriously great video, and spot on too. Horizon is a shallow soulless pit that capitalizes on people’s hype for the future of VR. It is the worst version of a thing that already exist.
Thanks. I've been with the VR community for so many years and seeing something like this come from a big studio and yet be a big pile of shit is very disappointing to you.
But even when it's compared to it's competition. Why would you use this over the other alternatives? What makes it special? Also you can be antisocial and still talk to people. There's just different scales to being antisocial. Some people are more comfortable when they hide behind a screen but are terrible when it comes to speaking to real life people. Some people can talk to people but may find talking to random people on the internet as weird.
The new super rumble game in horizon worlds is pretty awesome now. It is my go to game when I put on the quest. Everything else that I have explored… pretty terrible
I personally believe that Horizon Worlds is largely for the boomers and gen x'ers who are somewhat intrigued by the idea of VR, but would not handle being around VRchat culture very well lmao
I think it's tech bros that desperately wants to make a digital empire for themselves but don't realize that people are that dumb to support their stupid metaverse projects.
I'm not going to defend it. But all I see is a social platform and I think it's original purpose is for people to just consume media and chill together I just watched a live fight with my brother that lives 8 states away from me in a virtual space. VR chat always lags me out and I do have a decent PC setup. VR chat is full of pedos and squeakers anyway. In meta worlds the community is quick to fix sexual harassment. And the updates are getting better.
I think this is just the barebones version of the game. My presumption is that the end-goal is to make Horizon the hub you spawn in when you put on the headset. They need to attract good game developers, though. A lot of the games I played were very simplistic. I don't think it's the fault of the devs, I think it's Meta's fault.
What if I change your mind by building a black hole experience where you are on a giant ship and you have small mini shuttles inside and there is another shuttle that is giant and both of you heading towards black hole and teams in both ships can fly and alternate between both to save some people
As a person who has played meta horizons, it’s really boring. The people are mostly kids who have squeaky voices, the escape rooms are garbage, you cant even go into a server without one person shouting HAHAHAHAHHA DEEZ NUTS HAHAHAHHA, plus most things in there are just copy paste of other things.
It's visually bland, there's alternatives that are better, the community is practically non existent. I just do not get the appeal from multiple angles.
@@BooperDooper-u8pI see what you mean now, everything is just smoother out and has no feeling or anything, like take from gorilla tag. It’s low poly but makes that into the style and feel of the game, but horizons just looks like random tubes and circles put together.
No way you said green hell vr was bad its an incredible flat screen adaptation the mechanics work amazingly the graphics are great the world is beautiful the game is hardcore there is no way in hell it's a bad game
For me it just wasn't my thing. First, it ran poorly on my 3070. So the frame rate was terrible for me. I didn't have this feeling of danger like I would with even something as bare bones as the forest VR. Idk. It's not bad just kinda disappointing for me personally.
@@BooperDooper-u8p when you play on the harder difficulties you get that sense of danger out have to be really carefull with what you eat and predators it feels really good with a smooth frame rate
