I just finished FWest yesterday. I went from Zdawn, straight Into f.west. Zdawn was so much Better…despite the graphics and so much more to do… Zdawn was a spooky NightMare, and this menu music just puts it all together of what the story was about. I feel like they forgot what made Horizon great… and just turned it into a big open world game like any other… Was INCREDIBLE graphics wise
@@Roadwarrior92 I first played this game during the first COVID lockdown here in UK so this music is already nostalgic for that haha this brilliant game got me through those lonely days!
Forbidden West has some great tracks, but something pulls me back to this. It was a weird time going from depression to learning gratitude, something about this music made me feel uneasy, a little fearful for the future, but preparing to meet it stronger. One of the weirdest feelings ever from a track, still leaves me kind of breathless. It's such a beautiful mix of something more tribal with subtle metallic hints.
The first time i have discovered this game, i was transported by the atmosphere and the universe of it. Literraly, HZD' s world is fabulous. The story is not so irreal, quite the contrary. I think that the dimension of the story effort in a real vision of what the future could look in several centuries. By the way, when i listen this song, it remind me a sort of mystical feeling. As if my goal is to discover a world that i can't understand. This game is amazing. (Sorry for my english)
I think that too ! It's amazing !!! I mean, how the creators could have done so amazing job !!! I'd like to know who are the writers of this fabulous story ! They are incredible !!!
I always wonder how you guys find the time to complete a game more than one time? I have so many games completed on PS4 but never more than once, even those that I absolutely love.
@@phil_5430 imo it's almost impossible to complete only one time a game that you really loved playing through, for me is the last of us and god of war 3, finished those more than 8 times.
@@phil_5430 only game I’ve ever played through more than once is LastofUs 1&2. You literally can’t fully upgrade your gear, and win at everything unless you replay. And that game was so g’damn good I didnt mind
@@andre_sw8114lmao, ive beaten kingdom hearts 2 like, 25+ times, and i have almost 2k hours on it alone with my ps4 and pc playtime combined. i am not ok.
I agree with the others it was hard to find but I’m glad someone also appreciates this music. I’d often let the menu linger sometimes just to listen to it. Thank you very much for 1: uploading this and 2: for sharing passion that this is a awesome game!!! Love Aloy and Teersa :)
Whenever hear this track the nostalgia hits me like a freight train it gives me chills even, I played this game in a darker and different part of my life before middle school, now I'm going into highschool.
My boyfriend is a gamer and he had to finish it completely. It took him a while... But I remember getting chills everytime he paused the game and this would start playing. I am Native. It just sounds so.... Right. Is that weird?
I'm so glad you uploaded this soundtrack from HZD, when I first looked it up a while back when the game came out I couldn't find it anywhere, then one day I came across this. When I heard it on the game I loved it immediately & had to find it. It's so relaxing, I even use it to help me fall asleep sometimes lol. Ever since I found it I've revisited it multiple times to have something calming to listen to. Thanks for posting the song. :)
I agree...it's ironic how relaxing it is compared to actually playing the game: white-knuckle terror!! My War Bow's out of ammo! Where's my Ropecaster?! Aghghggh!
The part of this game that fascinates me is the fact that most post apocalyptic games aren’t technically the end of the world, but HZD takes place several hundreds of years after all biomass on earth was consumed by the faro robots, meaning the literal end of all life on the planet, and instead of preventing that from happening, they put contingency plans in place that would survive after the extinction of all biological life in the world... leading to techno tribal cultures that thrive in a world that they barely understand out of superstition, it just sits really well with me and I am glad I got to experience this game, not just play it
This track has caught the spirit of what Zero Dawn feels like better than any other. Maybe Aloy's theme comes close, but this track here is just different. It is a little bit disconnected (as a menu theme should be) and etheral. It sounds ancient but futuristic at the same time and when you first discover the great secret of project Zero Dawn and go back to the menu the first time, this track really hits with its full power. The tracks that play in the Gaia Prime ruins are also great. I think they are called "Territory of None" and "A Wanderer's Work".
One year later and I still keep coming back to this. Never gets old hearing it and have to say Horizon Zero Dawn still impresses me to this day. Just goes to show how a video game can be viewed as a form of art and expression like a well made movie or book can. The music in this game is hauntingly beautiful and the story is one almost anyone can relate to. Thank you again for posting this! I’ve used it several times at work ( I wear a sand blast suit ) so it’s nice to have something peaceful playing in my helmet. Like others have said it’s a nice change of pace to have something peaceful playing and really puts your current thoughts into perspective. Again thank you!!!! And hearing that voice / sound at 2:14 is probably the favorite part of it
@@rl33apro61 Good choice :) Got it right at release day the Limited Edition and man this game brought my love for games back. Now I'm waiting for the PC version for a second playtrough.
@@g_g7842 For context, HZD launched a year after my mother passed. The lore in HZD has a lot to do with mothers and their very specific kind of love for their family and the sacrifice they make to bring forth life multiple times in a single life time. So the story hit me hard.
Bro when i first opened the map in the new game i immediately knew something was missing. This is just so nostalgic and atmospheric. Indeed pretty upsetting
Well here I am again revisiting my past self comments on this video and my opinion has not changed. After watching ChristopherOdd RU-vidr do a blind play through back during release… when he paused the game and said wow this was a big map then slowly zoomed out the part of track like at 7:05 played I was just blown away by this music. So simple but so haunting at same time. It’s the same with the “ Prey speaker music “. Again simple but in preys case puts into perspective a “ safe haven “ first area I heard it was Morgan’s office. Not to go off on massive rant but wanted to thank Aukje again for posting this! I was not as impressed with new game compared this one but I feel like most things “ new ghostbusters “ new “ red dawn “ doesn’t hit the same as the OG😅 Again just an opinion it’s not the Bible but this game was way better as far as character development and story. I first hated Silens with a passion and wanted to kill him but the more he progressed I grew to understand “ the enemy of my enemy “ persona of him. That’s amazing storytelling… to make the player think one thing then provide new “ evidence “ and let them draw own conclusions Sorry to rant Just know I still appreciate your upload! And since you have played final fantasy a bit I want to recommend Metro Exodus to you
Thank you so much for uploading this. Wondering if this song has a name and if anyone has a high quality recording of it? How can they forget to add the best song in the OST? *facepalm*
Why is this NOT in Forbidden West for the character menu?! I noticed it was missing once I opened the character menu for the first time and I was sad. So much for nostalgia:(
I have been looking for this everywhere but couldn´t find it... Finally when I did, I notice I´ve already liked this before and found it, I had just forgotten... lmao
yeah it's a great track i often just sat looking at the map screen listening to this :) have you completed the game yet ? i'm looking forward to the DLC for it should be out in september i think
It's so strange, when I played this game I always felt like it was far cry primal but 13,000 years later and when I listen to this song it reminds me of Takkar and the wenja tribe, and all the other tribes and how their time has passed.
I remember pausing the game and struggling a lot to resume playing thanks to this music. Its an odd mix, makes you feel calm and uneasy at the same time.
I really love this track. That said i kinda wish they just kept exploration music going when opening the menu. It always starts form the beginning and gets a bit stale after a while. Hzd has 4 hours of ost thats alot i think ive heard about 1-2 hours of it.
ANGEL I am from Oregon and would agree... except I also lived in Colorado and, in the spirit of the game, this will always give me a Colorado feeling since Nora territory is along the Front Range of Colorado.
Ahhh so much memories. I remember playing the game for the first time and not really enjoying it, probably because of the lore, I wanted to learn more about it. Then I played until the half of the game and knew about the project zero Dawn and the way the world ended, eaten by machines. It blew me away, because it felt so real and i got the feeling such thing could definitely happen one day. Now I can’t wait the play forbidden west
I was so hyped to get Forbidden West on Day one but the release date is one month after Elden Ring so I'm gonna have to get Elden Ring day one and wait for HFW at sale.
