The Horizontal Falls are in the remote are that are the Kimberleys' in North West Western Australia. The falls are the result of 7 to 8 metre tides being channelled through narrow breaks in the ranges.
I've surfed big waves and done a heap of other hazardous stuff, but we've all got our triggers and something about that freaks me out. Must have been a heap of boats tried to navigate some of those tidal passages and miscalculated badly.
@@claytonpowell348 Yes, I hope so too. There's not been any detail as to what actually occurred to the vessel - but definitely injuries and bandaged individuals, so something must have gone wrong - impacted one of the sheer rock faces perhaps?
Bad for your safety, even if you travel alone in your car and sleep in a camper van. Don't complain, don't question, just follow the orders. Hail Andrews!
Jimmy, that's something I'm also curious about. I'd imagine it's far too dangerous for SCUBA divers to enter such waters, but would be fascinating to know the hydrology underneath such a dramatic water flow.
This 'old person' would be suggesting he puts it down so I can take a proper photograph with a real SLR camera! Which is exactly what I will be doing in two weeks if this happens.
Even just watching this on RU-vid, the f*ckstick with the tablet, iPad, whatever ...was annoying the f*CK out of me. I can only imagine how bad it was in person. Very distracting...
