I was on hol in a remote part of Scotland few years ago chatting to a local , when he asked ..... " Have you got used to not having crazy bastards overtaking you, only to be 3ft in front of you at the next set of lights yet ? ".
My Dad always said that "they brake, speed up, brake, speed up, break, and does it get them there any faster, no!! You meet up with the same car at the lights, after they have worn out their tyres and brakes"!! it is true, someone comes speeding past you, then brakes all the way to the traffic light. I bet their brakes need changed EVERY MOT!! They don't appear to realise the damage they are doing to their car!!
I lived in Hornchurch for years and moved out when the council let developers build more and more houses for the chavs without doing anything for the infrastructure. The last time I was there it took twenty minutes to get through that town centre.
Been a good few years since I lived there. Odd how much has changed beyond recognition and yet some little pockets of the past remain almost untouched. I exercise the KFC just before Harrow Lodge, a mate of mine used to work there. Never been able to eat Kentucky since.
You were better off with that prat in front of you! Blocking him out would have been satisfying but risking your own vehicle from being redesigned, so just not worth it. 😉
There are a lot of Bad motorists commenting on the speed of the cammer "going slow" though a town centre. The road markings Clearly show the road to be a Cycle lane(Bicycles having PRIORITY) with a speed limit of 20 mph.
tbf I don't blame him for overtaking. The car filming was going excessively slow, and setting off really slowly after stopping. Overtaking someone like this can be the difference between you arriving 10 minutes early vs 10 minutes late. Especially when they leave such a huge, unnecessary gap between them and the person in front meaning any person who wants to join the road from the junction will easily get into that gap, and they then extend the gap further when someone joins, meaning more and more people can keep pushing in front. The amount of times I have overtaken someone like this, only to see them get left behind and not make it through the next set of lights, and have to wait for 3 packed lanes of traffic to join in front of them is mind boggling.
@@KrisHudsonLee I live there, 20 is a limit not a goal it's a high street and people cross frequently as there's an island in the middle. Idiots cause collisions.
Video shows car driving normally for the conditions and then a knobhead overtaking dangerously ending up 1 car ahead and still in the traffic so I'd say the knobhead was that guy and anyone that thinks driving like that is OK.
@@bikerscott4984 Thanks for the clarification. I can only assume that the overtaker thought that the other car was driving excessively hesitant or slowly for the conditions and was becoming frustrated.
@@bikerscott4984 your the problem, purposely driving under the speed limit.... what you expect or you just unable to comprehend your own actions? limit is 30, yet you drive at 12..... kmh or otherwise. You go under the speed limit- so now others have to...... maybe petition to lower the speed limit or walk or something rather than hindering others for no reason. Even police will pull you over for driving too slowly. Your a danger to others on the road and fail to understand how your actions influence others. get a bus or walk.
I met someone just like him a few months ago driving through Cheltenham, eventually I applied the brakes got out lifted the front of his car and turned it sideways thus blocking the traffic behind him; he looked visibly scared as I said...NOW DO YOU GET THE MESSAGE, YOU ARE DRIVING TOO CLOSE! Then I saw the police van on the other side of the road full of police who just laughed and clapped, so I got back in and off I went! 🏴
Clearly you haven’t driven down that road before, otherwise I don’t think you would’ve made such a stupid and silly comment to make yourself look silly. Did you not see the part where I overtook just missing the oncoming traffic. It’s See You Next Tuesday is like this that make our Insurance go up Honestly it’s comments after looking at this that make people like myself just want to rant at fuck wits like you.
@@SuperGizzzmo Wrong!! I drive down there most days as it happens on my way to the Leisure Centre. It’s motorists like you that cause accidents because others get frustrated as you tootle along as if it was an audition for Driving Miss Daisy.
Check your driving behaviour, it’s a high street with shops and pedestrians….it’s idiots like you commenting that cause the road rage and frustrations on the road…. selfish idiots, selfish behaviour! I’d say maybe one day you’ll grow up but you’re all probably in your 30s or 40s and refuse to learn anything.
Why couldn’t he just wait and hold back? However, having said that roads that are like guided bus lanes with pavement in the middle are a joke! If anything large like a bus or an HGV breaks down you’re just buggered. Nothing can get past. The daft idiotic councils should get rid of crackpot road schemes like this and provide more road room. Pavements do not need to be more 6’ wide.
I drive along this road regularly and often see ambulances stuck because when the lights go red or the traffic snarls up, nobody can move over out of their way.
That's easy . They waste 5or 6 minutes telling there friends that they saved 5sec of their journey time at nob end in Essex. See you later over takeer in a casket crazy basket.... oh well that's life ...
The camera car was about 10mph below the speed limit so was overtaken safely by the Dacia. The car in front of the Dacia couldn't make up it's mind what lane to be in and signaled late to turn left. Was the Dacia driver a bit impatient? Yes, did actually do anything illegal? Hard to tell but I doubt it.
RobP How do you know the speed on the dash cam is accurate? Even if it is, there may have been a reason for driving a little slower than the speed limit that we can't see in the rear view footage. A speed limit is a maximum speed allowed, not a target. The dacia driver obviously couldn't see clearly round the cammer's vehicle either as they nearly collided with an oncoming vehicle.
@@jdaley197931I can judge the speed by the gap that opened up between the cam car and the ones in front when the traffic started to move off and also from the rear video where it shows the bus starting to gain on the cam car when Dacia went for the overtake. The Dacia did not nearly collide with the oncoming vehicle. In fact it looks like the oncoming vehicle didn't even slow down . Dacia was impatient but cam car driver wasn't making due progress to keep up with the traffic.
Honestly I don't see much there. Following a little close, sure. But there is nothing wrong with over taking, as long as its done safely. The police wouldn't waste there time with this.
The speed limit should not be treated as a target but a limit if necessary you may need to drive below it. To make good progress is correct but not at the risk of causing injuries to others . And remember the highway code has just put more responsibility on drivers and that is a busy town centre and if a pedestrian should take it into their heads to walk across the road your expected to be able to stop . Whether they looked or not.🙂
T C. Every time I see your name I know that a load of horseshit is going to come out of your gob! You are obviously a walking, talking, breathing dunderhead!
Oh my goodness gracious me, that's where I live currently but this was 9 months ago which would make this July?? I arrived here August time, so you wouldn't see me at all I believe!? Actually, you wouldn't even know what the fuck I look like anyways, so that's alright I suppose haha 😂🤔😐☹️
@@bikerscott4984 well shit, that's why he passed you. Playing around well back from the line of traffic just to rile the guy up. Deliberately driving like a knob end.
@@mikavelli2365 before the clip starts I was at a Zebra crossing which is why there's no traffic in front of me at the beginning. Once I start going I know I'm heading into a 20 zone with lots of pedestrians so what's the rush? Only knob heads floor it everywhere just to sit up the arse of other cars.
Built up area. You don't over take unless absolutely necessary. Those that do are usually the same sort of c**ts that do 45 on the open road when they should be doing far more.
To be fair, I looked at your speed at times you were doing 10mph and leaving a massive gap and even when you got out of the 20mph zone, you were still only doing 10-14mph? You are obliged to keep up with the traffic. You do that on a Motorcycle test and it's a fail.
The clip starts at a Zebra crossing where we were waiting for people to cross. From the crossing to the 20 zone is 100 yards tops where we can already observe the traffic is moving slowly. My next video is going to be of the lad on a scooter that was hit head on by a car driver turning right. You can actually see the lad cartwheel through the air. He had to have his leg amputated because the car driver was in too much of a rush to notice him/react. I can't upload it yet because it's evidence but why is everyone in such a rush to get nowhere?
Also factor that gps always shows different to an analogue speedo so even though the GPS says 14, the speedo would read 16. 4mph under the limit. Not much in the grand scheme of things.
Unfortunately the driver can not see or doesn't want to see that in front of you are more cars and it is just a waste of time ....driving like you say .....a know head
He's probably late for church. This was on a Sunday, judging by the number of shops closed, many with with their 'shutters' down.....why else would anyone be in such a ball-busting hurry on a SUNDAY!? Yeah, it's gotta be "late for church". If its the priest or vicar, I can forgive him.......no telling what the congregation will get upto in an empty church without supervision...probably break into the sacristy and guzzle all the wine!
Because the road we drove through was a 20mph road and after that there was traffic in front of me at the lights. I'm astounded at how many people missed the very obvious 20mph signs.
I wasn't driving slowly. At the beginning of the clip I had just left a Zebra crossing which is why to start with there's no traffic in front. We then enter a 20 mph pedestrianised zone where the traffic is stationary and I stop behind the stationary traffic. When the traffic starts moving and they overtake they end up sitting in the same slow moving traffic as I was? What was the point?
@@bikerscott4984 i think these comments about you driving slow sum everything up that's wrong on the roads nowadays. Everyone is in such a rush! As others have said, limits are the maximum speed that you should travel at. They are not a target. Now, I know say on a 70mph motorway, someone doing 40mph is dangerous due to the nature of the road but someone doing 20 in a 30 is perfectly acceptable if that's the speed the driver feels comfortable driving at. Fed up with all this mad dashing about and people trying to dictate to others what they should be doing. Take a chill pill and enjoy!
He's a knob but to be fair your driving isn't much better. Keep up with the flow of traffic man. People like you add to the congestion. You were driving at 13mph at one point. Why?????
Because its a 20mph road and I can see the road ahead has stationary traffic. Why do I want to go faster through a pedestrianised area just to sit at the back of a queue of traffic?
@@bikerscott4984 By lagging behind you're lengthening the queue behind you. People who could get through green lights can't because you are holding everyone up. Drivers like you can't think beyond your own bubble. You think you can read the road but you can't. It's also better to come to a halt, take the car out of gear and relax your feet. I drive around 100 miles per day. It's good to get my hands off the wheel and my feet off the pedals at lights but people like you have us all crawling along doing clutch work. At 0:35 you're crawling at 3mph. Why? Just pull to the queue like everyone else & have a rest - keep the gap down behind you. At 04:67 the traffic is moving off. It's flowing yet you're pissing about dawdling. You drive like an old woman. You allowed a 300 yard gap to open up between you and the car in front. That's not a safe braking distance it's irresponsible driving. I get why the car behind was pissed off with you. Look at you at the end. It's a clear, dry road on a bright day and you're turning left at 14 mph and when beyond the turn you actually reduce your speed to 12 mph. Are you afraid of driving? Maybe you ought to get extra tuition. Your name suggests you're a biker. Me too. Riding schools encourage spirited but safe riding. Dawdling is frowned upon. Keep up with traffic is today's mantra. If you find driving too much for you ask a friend to give you a lift.
I always remember on my 48 mile commute home one old guy would crawl down the dual carriageway slip road in the rush hour (it's a single lane) He created a 400 yard gap between himself and the stationary car queuing at the roundabout every single evening. Behind him was absolute chaos. He was causing the queue to stretch back onto the main carriageway. Vehicles were flying along at 70 mph to be confronted by standing traffic caused by the silly old gimmer. He was absolutely oblivious to the danger he was causing. I guarantee he thinks he's the safest driver in the world because all he sees is the nice safe 500 yard gap in front of himself.
@@lordrupertknob1882 I'm I'm no rush to sit stationary at the back of a queue. All that nonsense about resting your feet? By keeping a nice space on front of me it allows me to keep going with the revs low rather than stop....start.....stop......start......which is better for the car and the environment. Watch some of my other clips and you'll get a better idea of why slow and steady wins the race. One of my next clips that I'm going to post is of a moped rider being hit head on right in front of my car. I can't show it yet because it's going to be evidence in court. The rider was not travelling at an appropriate speed. The car that hit him was not travelling at an appropriate speed. The moped rider lost his leg. You probably think it will never happen to you and I pray it doesn't and you also probably think you're far too good a driver to ever get into a situation like that. So did the lad in my video and the woman that hit him.
@@bikerscott4984 It's not nonsense at all. You obviously don't drive very far or very often. Do a 4 hour run and the last thing you want is someone pissing about crawling up to lights. It causes fatigue. Read any advanced driving manual - it advises coming to a rest and taking your feet off the pedals. A modern car can handle stop start traffic. What do you drive, a Model T Ford? I'm not saying steady driving isn't better because I too think it is but there's a difference between being steady and being a rolling road block. You're over-cautious. The police pull people up like you. I bet you do 40 mph on the M1. The safest way to drive is to keep up with the flow of traffic. Driving at a much slower or faster speed causes conflict and confusion. How many riding schools would tell you to hang back and cause people behind to bunch up because you're not driving fast enough? The answer in none. I guarantee you're pissing people off behind you. I know how to ride mate, don't worry about that. I'm a defensive rider but I get on with it. You're obviously a nervous rider who's scared of his own shadow.
He is driving what appears to be a Dacia duster....😧 If he actually bought it then it's proof he is a knobhead..or he might be road testing it, therefore it's understandable he wants to spend the least amount of time driving it!
