Join us for 3 wet laps on “Britain’s most southerly coaster” called Hornet located at Flambards down in the beautiful county of Cornwall England UK
Hornet is a 1995 Zierer steel sit down family coaster and it is one of the most unique rides I’ve ever been on with it’s Hornet themed trains to its sliding lap bars
Stats are length of 1,345.2ft, height of 35.1ft and a top speed of 26.1mph, it also has 5 trains with 2 cars per train
Povs are all filmed in HD 1080p 60fps using a GoPro Hero 6 with official accessories

There is nothing funnier than watching unprepared first timers hit the last 2 brakes. Sometimes I sit in the back to see the families suffer

One other bonus I found when I went back two days ago is that if you play it right you can ride it restraintless (aka sit massively forwards so you get 2 feet of clearance) it’s insane

My parents used to take my sister and I here when we were younger and I used to love this ride. I was probably about 7? (19 years ago at the time of writing this) and have very fond memories of this coaster. Nice to see it still exists

Unicorn Amber we went to Blackpool Pleasure Beach in Saturday just gone but I didn’t film a vlog as I had a day off camera with friends and then the weather was too bad on Sunday so we left, povs are banned at Pleasure Beach

Unicorn Amber yeah we had a great day on Saturday, got on plenty of rides in the evening as the park was pretty quiet, Icon is amazing, really smooth and don’t be scared, you will love it

This coaster has possibly one of the harshest braking in history. I almost lost a tooth on this things when I was younger.

Great pov Andy. Really like the trains on this coaster and I think the blue/yellow colour of the track and supports is very effective.

Your Thumbnail makes it look sunny, I thought you went to Flambards again so I clicked. Not disappointed though...it's good to see a family coaster not on a frame, but actually constructed. Is that an S&S? Great vid (I only watched 30 secs. when I realized it is from an earlier trip) no doubt, by the master ...Andy.

URUSOIMI yeah it definitely wasn’t sunny when we visited the park lol, I like the edit my thumbnails to stand out lol, it’s a Zierer and most of them are pretty smooth rides

It’s a zierer hornet. As far as I know it’s the only hornet model coaster zierer made

First coaster I ever went on as a kid-certainly sparked my love of rollercoasters. Pleasure Beach Blackpool is my favourite park but this coaster brings back some great memories.

I have been to Flambards so much since I was a kid and seriously i find it such a boring and not even scary ride, i don't know why so many people scream when they're on it.... boring!

I'm terrified of Roller Coasters, yes, even something simple like the Hornet makes me really nervous to even think about getting on it. And this is the local coaster to me

I always go to Cornwall for holiday and Flambards is so fun, I’ve had to teach myself to push on the bar when I get to the sudden break as it makes the impact smaller

that last trim nearly knocked my teeth out when i was younger. even though it is one of very few coasters i have ridden, i think it is one of the worst ones in the country

StarkosGuy the last trim is very sharp but I wouldn’t say it was one of the worst coasters in the UK I actually really enjoyed it

I love how u say "another trim" and there is a big red sign saying 'Sudden Braking' but u go past it so quickly u can only just read it before OOOOooUUuuUCccCcCCCHhhHhHH
