@@zedabyu Amazing! Do you plan to make actual plush (getting shapes correct with plush is DIFFICULT) or maybe 3D printing and then covering with fur using a pattern for ultimate accuracy?
printed on fabric is always so disappointing 😩 and the fake leather, I do not envy the the flaking!! I suppose they are still rather friendly in the end, who can resist those smiles :) Thank you for sharing ❤🎉
I feel like they’re kinda worth it (not really if you get a version like Bobby ) if you can’t get your hand on the official one , even though they have a lot and I mean A LOT of downsides but they low price kinda hard counters that. Even though I won’t get a bootleg version but if I can’t get an official one I would ngl get one just to see how they look.
Imo, I think the bootlegs are still pretty cool, cuz most of them try to look more like from the cartoons, so more kid friendly. But the official ones try to look like the actual physical toys kids receive. Both are honestly a good buy
I actually got a bootleg CatNap plushie from a local VR arcade pretty recently! He's got the stiff arms problem too(which I don't mind) but he's smaller than your one(around 15cm tall), has a flatter face and he's constantly sitting, which I also don't mind! Also i feel like the fake leather on my CatNap is a bit more high quality. He also has a tag on the side of his body, but it's just for cleaning instructions, age restrictions and location where it was made(which is obviously China). So for someone who can't afford the real deal, he's a good little goober! 8/10 from me.
Nope. I follow the creators and they hand sculpted it themselves so it's not the most accurate. The size however should be dictated by Mob entertainment so I'd follow it if they will let me know how tall CatNap is supposed to be. Still waiting on their reply.
When I bought my version of The bootleg it completely looked different from the listing I mean I know it's a bootleg but I was expecting it to look just like your catnip but it has a shoulder tail it looks even uglier than before😢 that's sad
For the arms, maybe when you make yours add metal wires inside so you can pose them as you want (I have a Spider-Man plushie from Disneyland Paris that is entirely wired inside and it’s amazing I can’t pose whatever way I want it works really well) ? But you would have to not add a lot of stuffing inside so they don’t spring up or add some kind of weight in the hand to weight the arms down? Or even a clear button (or Velcro but I fell like it wouldn’t look good and be strong enough) on the hand to attach to the body so it stays down?
I love bootleg plushies there so derpy and cute definitely want to get a few of These at some point but for now I just have my own catnap plush that I hand made
That’s sad. I was really gonna buy Bobby Bearhug because she is my favourite Smiling Critter but she is made so poorly 😞 Do you know any other bootlegs of her that are better? And I’m definitely getting Kickin’ Chicken. Thanks for the amazing vid it helped a lot 😊
Which knockoff plushes did you buy so I can get them? lol Trying to avoid the really bad looking ones with the weird heads and the holding string, but still want a good price.
I’m actually on holiday in Tenerife right now, and a little shop me and my parents went to had some different bootleg Smiling Critters plushies, i think there was Kickin Chicken, Hoppy Hopscotch, Catnap, Picky Piggy, and Bubba Bubbaphant and Craftycorn, i only looked at Craftycorn the most, she had a floppy pony tail and a little felt flower pendant on her, and i honestly kinda wanted to get her but i was also getting the official plush from Mob Entertainment, so sadly i just left her there, also the Catnap plush i saw at the shop had a really small tail instead of a long one, and i think Hoppy’s ears were also really small and floppy, i also think the plushies had leather black eyes and zipper lines, (I didn’t look at Bubba, Picky and Kickin) they weren’t the same ones in the video just different plushies
Miss your creative videos. Wait every day hoping for a new video to drop, but when a toy reviewing video comes up, its pretty disappointing. Would love to see you fix the ones you bought of go back to making things ❤️
Why gh’s used cartoon versions instead of game version. She mostly makes 3d animations of the critters and she used the cartoon ones because she liked the designs of the cartoon critters
These are pretty bad, but if you can actually get them for $5 each, then it’s kinda hard to complain. I doubt kids would care either, just as long as they don’t fall apart.
