A review of CBBC's 2009-2014 sketch comedy musical hit 'Horrible Histories' based on Terry Deary's book series. Starring Mathew Baynton, Simon Farnaby, Martha Howe Douglas, Jim Howick, Laurence Rickard ,Ben Willbond & a supporting cast including Lawry Lewin, Sarah Hadland Alice Lowe Katy Wix & Dominique Moore. Though ostensibly aimed at children, series the series is also famously entertaining and informative for adults.

I love how most of the footage you used were outtakes, quite possibly my favourite thing about any movie or series is the Blooper reels shown in the credits or as extras on the dvds :D

yeah it's a major argument for continuing physical media, they never have outtakes on streaming sites

The rat puppet was my favourite! But the humour in this was so good and a lot of it quite mature for a children's TV show!

oh yeah, I'd go as far as saying it's possibly even better for adults for that exact reason. Saw an fb post recently like 'anyone's kids watch horrible histories? it's actually quite good' and i was thinking 'oh god I hope adults aren't only allowed to watch this if they're parents because I've got no excuse in that case'

@@PlayCONtent Indeed I have, RIP Rik. Never heard of that show that prior to your video. I immediately remembered Nigel Planer as Neil knocking on the door "Open up, it's the pigs". Googling I found out Planer did lots of the Terry Pratchet Audio books I thoroughly enjoyed over a decade ago. Small world, I thought :)

@@ElSelcho77 Oh yeah! Tony Robinson did at least one Pratchett book too, I mean I only ever listened to one... I assume he did more. Nigel Narrated Girzzly tales for Gruesome Kids aswell, the 2nd thing I think of involving after the young ones....no idea what my third would be

one of the best shows ever on CBBC and it lasted for long wish it was still going on, remember watching it on days of and after school, damn I feel old

the songs in these were all great, especially the rowan Atkinson as henry VIII, loved shouty man, can't remember any sketches that fell flat

I didn't know this was on netflix, will check this out for sure. I watched some with my older son went it first came out and enjoyed it so will check it out
