I just wanted to say how selfless I think it was that you guys stopped for the sake of your child to rest at a hotel instead of just driving home even if you would've loved to be home instead, you put that sweet boy first. That's what being good parents is all about. It's those little sacrifices you make that aren't really sacrifices because you'd do it over and over again because of your unconditional love and care for your son! You guys are the best and take such good care of him.

Watch out for croup! My son has it. We had to take him to the er because he was only getting 78 percent oxygen and struggling to breathe really bad. 😕 hope ollie feels better ❤️❤️

That honestly seemed like the longest day! lol, I am glad you were able to find a nice hotel to stay in. Do they have walk in clinics in the States? In Canada you can go to a walk in clinic without an appointment and get checked out.

Canadian Family Vlog Basically I was told that because respiratory stuff can get very serious very fast with young kids, it's a safer bet to just go straight to the pediatrician. Most of the walk in clinics in my area don't even have a doctor on call, just a nurse practitioner.

I think I am gonna tell you what I just told my friend who was completely stressing out to the brink of crying like crazy; 'happiness is a choice' (ShayCarl obviously)!! I don't know whether you are home yet or not but just take a deep breath, wait for 2 seconds with your eyes closed and no sound then just move on........... ;-D

Bryan, get some strong anti anxiety or/and sleeping tablets for your long flight. Fly return Europe-Australia every year. I take both and sleep like a baby for about 8 to 10 hours. But don't forget to move a lot as well to avoid DVT. Flying compression socks and some blood thinners (not aspirin, proper ones) are a godsend to avoid DVT and swollen feet. Good luck :)

Missy, add a few drops of eucalyptus oil to Ollie's humidifier and it'll help clear him up without meds. I was skeptical until it worked for my 6 month old. She got over her cold in ONE DAY!

We use the Chicco Nextfit convertible carseat, but what you see us using to wheel him through airports is a "carseat travel cart" that we purchased at Babies R Us. :)

***** Well, Bryan went to get the car (6 floors down, in the basement of the hotel) and I had all the luggage etc waiting for him to drive up. All of our stuff was sort of mixed up in all the different suitcases and we would have had to go through everything to find those few things we needed for the night and next day. At the time it just seemed easier to take it with us.

Aww, poor Ollie! I feel so bad for that baby boy. :( When I had a sore throat, my mom would always rub some Vicks on my neck and on my chest. She would also say to gargle water with salt in it (of course Ollie is too young to do that.) Hope my tips help! And I hope you guys have a much better day! :) Xoxo from snowy New York!

Sick little ones is the worst. I do hope by now .I know you probably already know this but being a grandmother raising two little ones also.If you have a wedge pillow to prop Ollie up on to sleep it will prevent him from coughing at night while he sleeps.I could not have made it at my age without the wedge I have for these two grand babies I have.Missy Please know that I think you are one of the BEST Mothers I have ever seen here on You Tube.I only want to share what I have learned through the years.I just love you kids !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I flew a couple time from Baltimore to Germany and it's like a 9-10 hour flight and-- the first time was just painful. It was a very cramped plane there was no entertainment. I just read a book and tried not to lose my sanity. And that was just my experience-- my son was with me-- luckily he mostly slept. I did 3 more times and it was a bit easier each time. The plane was never as small as the first and there were movies. By the fourth time I had even added another kid-- he slept, too.

If you chase Oliver around playing, it will make him cough. I always make sure I put a humidifier on when my kids get a croupy cough. I also make a chest rub with essential oils which helps break up the mucus so they can cough it up easier. You can also cup your hand and gently pound his back and/or chest which helps break up mucus.

I flew to Uganda Africa and it's a 19hour flight, 10 hours then a layover in London and 9 more hours, when I went the layover was 5 hours there and 9 hours in the way back but the layover can be as long as 24 hours

So sorry baby boy is sick. I think its worse on the parents than on the kid. However, if he still sounds that bad tomorrow, be sure to get him to the doc to be sure its not anything going deep into his chest. Best wishes. I think we all have had horror stories with traveling. I won't go into the story of my getting stuck at Logan Airport during a snow storm.......... omg. Hugs to ya'll.

thats what u get for having a Prius lol, u guys need a real car (they are badly made and this happens to many Prius owners) i suggest the dodge Durango, mazda cx 5 if u dont want something overly large, if u still want a little car then go for the mazda 3 hatchback (thats what i drive, best car ever in my opinion)

this will sound wierd but it works for a little one's cough if he has a hard time breathing cold air will open his lungs!!!!! open a window and let him take big breathes or bundle him up and go out side for a little bit so he can open his lungs!!! This specially works if he has croup medicne will not work if he has croup but you can get menthal rub.Warm water and lemon helps no milk products it will make cough worse.I learned this with lots of expeince. And don't be alarmed if he pukes it's all the mucus coming out because alot of kids don't know how to blow there nose so all that stuff has to come out some how !!!!!!Just watch the fever thats the big thing right know!!!!!!!!!!
