HORROR FAN REACTS TO THE AMAZING DIGITAL CIRCUS PILOT 

Fun fact: Kinger (the chess piece) is voiced by Sean Chiplock, the same guy that voices Taka and Monotaro from Danganronpa (and a lot of other characters from different fandoms) Also, Caine is confirmed to be an AI that doesn’t really understand human emotions.

Caine is actually an AI, he actually wants to help but doesnt understand humans and so makes everything worse

I’ve been thinking that when Caine mentioned his “All-Seeing Eyes” that it was his attempt at humor not being literal and that’s why he was oblivious to what was going on when he’s not around. Another thing about Pomni is that she isn’t just a clown, she’s a jester. Known for being forced to entertain those who are more powerful than them. If it’s related to who she was as a human, then it’s very telling.

Love the way the omnipotent Caine is still so freaked out by Bubble "cleaning up on aisle Pomni" that he's caught stammering, and gets nervous and fidgety when Pom keeps asking about the exit door.

Based on the fact that the creators said that the concept this pilot is based on is the short story "I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream," I think Caine is supposed to be an AI controlling the digital realm, rather than a transformed human like the other characters.

"Oh he quit" Those who've seen the pilot: "...Yeah, sure, let's go with that."

If you're interested, Glitch also has a series called Murder Drones that you might be interested in. It's not fully a horror, but it definetly has horror elements and scary moments.

I like how before Caine vanishes (13:00), he says "Now good luck. And have fun, my little superstars!", because it reinforces the fact they're in a video game, in a way "Good luck, have fun" is sometimes shortened to "glhf" and sent before multi-player matches in PC games, and, well, The Amazing Digital Circus is a PC game with multiple "players", after all 🤔

So the computer at the end is actually the computer that Pomni was using before being sucked into the digital relm. Its why she freaked out in the office area, and while not shown when Pomni was staring blankly in the void before Caine yoinked her back to the tent its assumed she reached the end of the void which is the computer screen and she was staring into the office where she was before.

And according to a virtual expo livestream, Gooseworx (the show’s creator) said that the Spamton impressions were the primary reason why she hired him to voice Caine.

Hearing Weeby at 13:00 theorizing about the Gloinks maybe being humans whose consciousnesses were butchered in transfer to the Digital Plane is absolutely hilarious if you’ve already seen the episode and know they actually come out of a slug-like Gloink Queen entity that ingests digital objects through one end and spits live Gloinks out the other end.

The funny thing is that Jax is younger than Pomni and he calls her “kid” 😭

I really think that you will like Glitch’s other project called “Murder Drones”. It’s a horror show about “cute robots that murder each other for reasons”. It’s really good. Somewhat confusing at times, but a really fun watch.

I remember following the series as the pilot was being created. I'm so happy it's become as popular as it is now.

I've been a fan of Gooseworx for a long time, so I'd been looking forward to this since it was announced however long ago. Something about the juxtaposition of psychological dark comedy with bright cheerful colors and wacky characters appeals to me. Gooseworx's pitch for the series was "'I Have No Mouth And I Must Scream' with the aesthetic of an 'I Spy' book," and the description on the official web page is "A woman gets trapped in a crazy virtual world along with five other humans and are now subject to the whims of wacky AI and their own personal traumas" (and also "What if it was Toy Story, but everyone was a jerk?"). The visuals are based on "I Spy" books and late-90s pre-generated CG computer games like "Kid Pix", "Day of the Tentacle", and "LEGO Island". When Kinger asked Zooble if they "experienced a game show in there" was a reference to Little Runmo, another of Gooseworx's videos. Fun fact: Pomni has been stated to canonically be 25 years old, in response to people having made a bunch of (mostly foot-related) Rule 34 art of her.

I’ve seen some others recommend this but if you want to see more from them then Murder Drones is a great start. It has some horror elements and seems to take inspiration from common horror tropes, but it’s also pretty funny and has lots of lore hidden around in the episodes

Might as well post my first impressions of the cast here. Pomni - Gently holds, I will protecc her,,, Caine - Spamton energy, if he's not a tumblr sexyman I will be surprised. I do really like him though. (He is indeed a Tumblr sexyman) Jax - Kokichi's fursona Zooble - Unsure what to think of them, might have to wait until more stuff is revealed Kinger - He just like me fr Ragatha - lesba,,,lesb,,,girls,,, Gangle - strums her ribbons like guitar strings (affectionate) Bubble - Bubble

His callous disregard for the situation, his sarcastic response to others concerns, and just casually dumping Kaufmo into a pit with countless others. It's so creepy. Also is it just a coincidence that Kaufmo and Pomni are both humanoid clown-themed characters who are obsessed with an "Exit" and are always on the verge of insanity? Is it a coincidence that Kaufmo abstracted right around the same time Pomni first entered the circus? It's almost like she was intended as a replacement for Kaufmo's "role" in this charade.

When you pointed out the "humanoid hash browns" part, it got me to make a quick theory. What if the gloinks or other creatures that might reside in the game were other humans that tested the game while it was still in development, and the game didn't have the ability to make people into characters yet, so it instead made humans into mindless NPCs who can't think or act for themselves anymore. And what if they're still conscious in their mindless forms, forced to observe their body as a spectator?

The pilot would probably get a TV-14. Idk whats coming up in the full series but its made by Gooseworx, so like... Maybe TVMA for violent and scary content at its highest, but not likely

Glad you overall like the pilot! I feel like this will be able to be funded enough to get us a full season(which been confirmed to be 8 episodes in total if the season is funded). If you’re interested in watching Glitch Productions’ other shows, there’s three others: ▪️Murder Drones- This one is quite popular too and currently has 6 episodes with the last two for S1 coming next year in spring. It’s horror with some dark comedy on the side. ▪️Metarunner- I haven’t seen this show yet, but I do know it has 3 seasons and it’s about a world with gaming running everything(I think). It’s completed. ▪️Sunshine Paradise- Only 11 episodes and this is mostly probably would appeal to SMG4 fans, but I’m interested in giving it a try.

So first thing to note is the show creator has said the Cain is not evil, so what he does is likely because he is a AI and doesn't really understand humans. Zooble is a "they" according to the creator, if I remember it's because they have lost their sense of self. Don't worry about not knowing Zooble is a they as it's only said once and most people don't even notice. Most people also think C&A is Cain and Able and is the name of the company but nothing confirmed.

Zooble is voiced by Gooseworx, who also created the Blue Channel Thalasin analog horror video (yes meaning they're responsible for the dorcelessness and loric faces), and I'm pretty sure Jax is voiced by Michael Kovach, who also voiced N in Murder Drones and Angel Dust in the Hazbin Hotel pilot episode.

Wow. This is one of the most fun reactions Ive seen to this, and Ive seen quite a few just to hear what other people have to say about it. Also this show is spearheaded and made by a person that goes by Gooseworx. She has her own youtube channel too separate from Glitch productions (an Indie animation production house) where she mostly does music but also a few animation projects of her own. And lemme tell you, those go so far into the surreal, dark, and horror genres that it makes the Amazing Digital Circus look tame. If you wanna check that out I highly suggest starting with "Little Runmo". About a little video game platforming character trying to finish a level. Besides that they also have other works like "Elain the Bounty hunter" and its sequel "Elain gets adopted", both of which are really wicked, dark, and weird, but also funny, along with other little animations like "Ghost of the year" and "The Darly boxman show". They even have a little more analogue horror stuff with "The Blue channel" which is another series of videos they have. Either way I think you'll like whats on their channel.

My guesses for the series: A) She's a fool because the card represents new beginnings B) the ringmaster's 100% a villain covering up the exits (it's like the exit doors, if you fly out far enough in the void you CAN actually reach the exit)

My personal theory on how they ended up in the circus is more towards what Soma (a horror game that focuses on what being you as a person means, by giving the question "if you copied everything in your brain, emotions, thoughts, feeling and memories. Would that version also be you or is it another person?) So my theory goes that they aren't really trapped in the sense that their body is still connected to the digital circus. But rather, most of their memories, thoughts and emotions were copied and placed on a character model. Also fun fact: Pomni is russian for the word "remember".
