spirit halloween worker here! the spirit halloween movie is officially licensed as far as i know, last year we were told it was filming and the location being very close to our store we got to hear a lot of updates on the filming of it & the process, my guess is this season we will be promoting the movie in some way but no official announcement for how the stores will be connected with the movie launch yet, i honestly can’t believe it’s a real thing but im excited to see all the animatronics i work with come to life regardless
Thank you, Sarah! Hopefully we'll get some better horror movies during the second half of the year. I'm most excited for Nope and Don't Worry Darling. P.S. Love the background! It gives me old school vibes for some reason.
Thank you for this video. It's hard to find out titles and releases sometimes because of so many streaming exclusives. Sometimes the interesting, smaller movies get lost behind the big names like Halloween Ends. And I like the new setting!
my special interests are horror and queer theory so seeing them come together is.. interesting. i’m really hoping it will be good but i’m trying not to have high expectation
the amount of comfort you and this channel in general bring me 🥹🥹 just got off work, showered, got my snacks, and I’m comfy in my bed enjoying watching you! :)
With Don’t Worry Darling I feel like it’s going to relate to Alice in Wonderland since her name is “Alice” and I CAN’T WAIT for the trailer song to officially release! So please review that one and Smile 🖤 I love the concept of Smile from what I’ve seen! Side note: weren’t we supposed to get the Crooked Man or the Black Shuck movie this year for the Conjuring universe…?
i personally want an anthology of stephen king short stories adapting autopsy room 4, lunch at the gotham cafe, a very tight place, and breathing method. at least it's not one of the classic stories being remade for the 3rd friggin time.
Yes, absolutely love the new filming setup!! Also, I’m sooo excited for Bodies, Bodies, Bodies, Barbarian, The Invitation, and Don’t Worry, Darling. I am anticipating Nope but, I’m also feeling nervous about how it’s going to play out! Love watching your content by the way 💜
saw resurrection during Sundance and it is a must see. Rebecca Hall gives one of the best performances of her career. could totally see some Oscar buzz for it.
I saw Resurrection at sundance and it instantly became one of my favorite movies of the year!Rebecca Hall gives her best performance to date. Its disturbing and made me feel frustrated and heartbroken and i definitely think you should make a separate review for it because the themes explored in the movie are so interesting!!!
totally agree, love the new setup. i’m so excited for most of these movies! thank you for doing videos like this. you talking about/explaining them helps me decide things i won’t like and find gems i might have missed otherwise.
Excited to see whats coming up for the rest of the year. Loved your old setting. Love this setting. Agree with you about the glare, but I'm feeling the change.
Love the background, love you trying new things! Also what I took from this video is that Jenna Ortega and Melissa Barrera are doing some good things for the horror genre.
I'm excited for smile as eery grinning has always scared me. That scene in hereditary got me! Also, never heard anyone pronounce Ralf Fiennes' name like that before haha
Love this video, love all of your videos. But Ralph Fiennes - his name is pronounced like Rayf Fines. It’s a rough one, but he’s one of my favorite actors too 😊.
I’m honestly so excited for Rupert. I feel like he never does any acting anymore and to see him in something after all these years is going to be really exciting
LOOOOOOVE the setup and changes! Honestly glad you started using non all caps titles haha. Thanks so much for the info, you're like a horror newspaper with great taste
I love the new changes!!! the background looks great, and i love the thumbnail it all looks amazing!! this video just feels fresh to watch as a long time viewer
The new setups cool! It's always good to switch things up every once in a while. Love the DVD collection. I'm weirdly excited to see this new take on The Munsters.
The only thing that has me worried about the Munsters is Zombie himself. IF he’s as big of a fan of the show as he says he is he really needs to show it in the movie. Also I don’t know how he does with comedy so I don’t know how that’s gonna work.
i have a list in my notes app of movies i need to watch and it's because of you. it's ever growing and i get my movie recs from you. thank you!!! i've been in quarantine with covid and needed a mood lifter.
The new look and revamp looks great Sarah! I'm most excited for Halloween Ends, Prey, and Bodies Bodies Bodies. Also I think Chucky is supposed to be back with season 2 this October.
I am intensely disappointed in the marketing I've seen for The Invitation. I got to see an early screening of it (I enjoyed it) and I think it would have been so much better if they had let the vampire thing be a twist and not the selling point.
I like the setting! And I love that you're changing things up, not because I am tired of the old, but I know revamping things can help keep things exciting and it lets me as a viewer know that even after all this time, making these videos and this content makes you happy. I think my most anticipated movie is Don't Worry Darling because I have such a huge crush on Florence Pough. If she's like my Rebecca Hall (and shes also amazing, I will watch her in anything; I love British brunettes (: ) Also The Menu, because come on, it's Anya Taylor-Joy. Okay though, how did I not know about Cabinet of Curiosities????? And if I did know, how did I forget?? Super excited for that one too. I still care about Rupert too! I love seeing the actors doing their own things. If you ever want a good laugh, Miracle Workers with Daniel Radcliffe is HILARIOUS. Every season, which is a different setting/characters with the same actors is amazing. I highly recommend it. Also, not horror but bloody action/comedy, Guns Akimbo. It also has Samara Weaving and they are so good together.
Im very excited for the munsters. Rob zombies in his MTV crib video talked about how much he loved the munsters and it’s definitely a full circle moment for him. It will be interesting to see him do a family comedy monster movie.
I think the high rise setting for the new evil dead movie could be so. fucking. cool. I mean I imagine that the main characters (who are two sisters in their 30s, one of which has 3 kids) will be trapped up at the top of this massive building. Maybe the staircase is blocked or the elevators stop working, who knows. But we do know that the kids will become deadites. Possibly the other residents/neighbors in the building will become deadites too (giving off REC vibes). Usually, our characters are trapped in a cabin in the woods, super remote. I think that this location change will bring new life to this installment and provide the creators with some interesting ways to storytell. I'm so excited for it :D Oh, and it's going to be "the shining elevator scene" levels of blood, so that's something to look forward to!
I'm stoked for Terrifier 2 the most, then Nope of course. Although I do agree with you about being nervous about Jordan Peele eventually having a flop. Also excited for the Darling movie, LOVE Florence Pugh.
September has a lot of the movies Im looking forward to! Especially the Darling movie! Also Ive been excited for the Movie "Pearl" from A24!! Genuinely interested in the setting, well the way its been shown. I just have an interest in that era, reminds me a bit of Mudbound
Thank you so much for this list!! I'm most excited for They/Them, Evil Dead, Halloween ends and Smile! And I love the new setup 👌Also is that Blair witch wood thingy on the top shelf? 😍
I'm excited about Prey, even though I've never watched any of the Predator movies. As for The Invitation, I ruined it for myself by watching the trailer. It basically shows the entire movie and I feel like I already know what's gonna happen, so that sucks. I hate it when they do that, overpack the trailer and leave nothing to discover in the actual movie.
the trailer for smile made me so uncomfortable idk maybe it's because of all the scenes taking place in hospitals/therapist offices/medical settings in general which is something i have a LOT of anxiety around. but whatever the reason is it UNSETTLED me and i'm very excited to see it when it comes out. but NOPE is definitely my most anticipated release for this year !!
Love the new setting ! My most anticipated movies are Smile, nope and HALLOWEEN ENDS ! I’m sure I’ll watch more on this list but those are my 3 I’m so pumped for ! Halloween ends has been on my radar since last year though !
That is the book cover for Dark Harvest, which is a really good book and a quick read. I think you'd enjoy. I'm super excited that the movie is finally happening
Love this. You look so happy and pretty. Nice snake plant, too. I do like to see your cats, but we know how are. BTW, I really loved "The Black Phone." I liked the video with you and Brian
love the new background. I'm interested in The Menu, Resurrection, Don't Worry Darling, and Smile. My BF is a huge Halloween fan so I know we're watching Halloween Ends.
I'm excited for Bodies Bodies Bodies, Resurrection, The Invitation, Don't Worry Darling, Salem's Lot, Smile, Cabinet of Curiosities, and The Munsters. I also watched The Munsters a bit growing up. In elementary school I loved the reruns of classic shows that would play on TVLand before they started making their own content. Bewitched was my favorite, though!! btw, Ralph Fiennes' name is pronounced "raif fines." I feel like most people still say Ralph, but his last name is not Finneas.
Oh c'mon. You don't even care about the 1st Salem's Lot?! Try watching it very late at night, by yourself, with no distractions. That's what I did the very first time I ever saw it, and holy shit was it affective. Imo, Barlow is the scariest fkn vampire that I've ever seen. Btw, great video as always, and I'm looking forward to almost every film you just announced. .. peace, love, and horror
