My specific one is "The Baby". I use it as a litmus test on my friends. If they kinda like it, i start introducing them to rougher stuff. If they hate it I don't bother going further. (Also for bad trash please avoid "Alice in terrorland", it's just two British ladies in a mansion talking. Very disappointed, don't let the cover fool you. one of what I call the "$5 wal Mart horror dvds").

I’ve always stood by the statement that just because a movie is trashy doesn’t mean it’s bad, they are still movies that tell stories and entertain us. The fact that these movies even manage to get made is very respectable when you consider that they are independent. Also think about guys like John waters and Lloyd Kaufman who have managed to build careers off these movies, that’s just so darn cool to me. Also I really like these horror talk videos, keep up the good work sir 👍

Definitely appreciate low buck flicks because they are doing the best they can with the resources available to them. Big buck movies that suck don't deserve that leeway. The,cough Crow, cough remake cough

nahh u made yourself understood and your passionate rambling is as infectious as it is relatable :3 wholeheartedly agree on the difference in good and bad bad taste. im (very) queer and ive never felt the slightest bit offended by a Troma film. i think its a testament to their filmmaking abilities that they can put in all the most horrible stuff and then some without evoking a bit of maliciousness. they feel like hanging out wth raunchy friends that u can go along with cause u know them and know its all in good fun. and dont even get me started on John Waters. im not a fan of the sunshine and roses queer stories we get from hollywood most of the time. or the occasional drama about normal people suffering for no reason because of evil assholes. theres no art that makes me feel as good, confident and motivated as the complete "fuck you" attitude of these films. also thx for putting some more little movies on my watchlist!

They did the nipple scene with ice and made it a lot harder that it needed to be. The piercing part of it not the nipple but that was hard too.

Let’s see there’s El Mariachi that was made for 7,000 dollars and so was the Primer. Both good for their budgets. I know the first Mad Max was made for like 400,000. Nice to have people who work for beer! lol those stunts in that movie hold up. (And you just reuploaded your old review to that one. Must be why it popped into my head )

Great video man! The counter-culture of film making is fascinating to study. So many brilliant and original ideas theat get understated and dismissed simple because the budget isnt where most people think it needs to be in order for it to be of quality. Id dare say that a lot of trash movies are great because the makers had to work that much harder with significantly less money, that is where true creative is eximplfied and truely appreciated by those who choose to give it a chance.

I loved this video 👍 i agree 100% with everything you said. If someone scrapes together a movie with $7000, chances are they're doing it because they *really* want to make a movie. When a huge studio makes a 'legacy sequel' to a classic movie for millions of dollars, chances are they're doing it because they really want to make a lot of money. Are you aware of Ribspreader? Fairly new Aussie trash splatter movie in the vein of Troma classics, has cameos from Lloyd Kaufman, Laurence Harvey from Human Centipede 2, Nick Oliveri (ex Queens Of The Stone Age) and a bunch of Aussie legends. It got shown in some major cinemas here in Australia, which blows my mind. You should check it out.

I liked Ribspreader. I do think it had a few too many subplots and I do think it would have benefited from whitling them down so they could expand on some of them. But overall, it was very good. Definitely recommend it to my fellow micro budget fans :)

@TheManiac666 Nice! I know the guy who made it, he's a hyperactive wildman and he worked on that film for years, so I think he went all out and stuffed everything he could into it 🤣
