It floors me that people are so entitled they feel they can just walk over to a guard and horse and think it's fine to touch the horse! There are signs warning the horses may bite and knowing they are on duty - WORKING - they think they are ornaments for show and pleasure!
The guard pulled the horse back and the tourists went further into the box! The area around the guard box needs to be cordoned off with white lines as it is in the concourse! Stay behind the white lines, no touching or abusing the horses!
@ladyd8339 it doesn't work because during shift change in the front court yard. You are supposed to stand behind the double white lines and people don't do it.
The horse did nothing wrong. They aggitated with the tourists grabbing as them. Its not a petting zoo. Why would anyone choose to step into the sentry box? There's lots of fecal matter on the ground. Couplef eith the heat...yuck.
As a "horse person" who had to quit with the death of my final, 26yo horse, raised from birth about 5 years ago after 58 years of riding, I miss it so much that I'd say horse poop doesn't stink: )
Yes Irish draught horses strong good jumpers plenty of stamina good temperament courageous and we have always been happy for them to be brought for guard horses and police mounts because they are going to be treated extremely well and have the chance for a good retirement

I could tell from the beginning that the horse on the left was feeling anxious by the energy it was giving off. I haven't a clue how long those horses have to stand there even though they're trained. They can't control the weather and the amount of tourists around the horses but I do feel there should be a barrier like a chain across from one side to the other side at the front of the guard box to keep the people back.

The trooper was smart to pull the horse so far back in the box, that group of students with all the umbrellas might spook the horse. Plus the sun looks brutal. Students tend to over crowd and get too close to the horse, they have no clue of personal space.

Some people wear so much perfume and some men wear so much after shaves &/body sprays and some are very strong. Seems like the 1st thing these people do is stick their hands right under te horses nose. This has to be very strong for the horses. No wonder some of the horses bites or wants to get away from the people. The horses noise are very sensitive to smells.
The tourists should not be allowed to be so close to the horses and their steeds. I think it is torture for the hores to be so close to unknown people.

Leider haben sie auch keine Ahnung von der Geschichte. Das Victory-Zeichen ist den meisten überhaupt nicht im Ursprung bekannt. Der Daumen und der zeigefinger. Waren das wichtigste Instrument um einen sehr starken Pfeil vom Bogen abzuschießen. Der Pfeil durchflug sogar eine Rüstung. Wurde ein solcher Krieger gefangen genommen schnitt man ihm den Daumen und den zeigefinger ab somit war er nicht mehr in der Lage einen Bogen im kriegsfall zu führen. The French said they would cut off the 2 first fingers of any bowman they found so they could never use a bow again.The legend goes that after the battle of Agincourt which was a resounding English victory….the English army heading for home held up the 2 fingers to show they still had them. Why do these guard horses have to be touched at all? I find it impossible of these people. Please go to a horse farm.....the horses and also the guards are in the service of the king
The one guard on the horse made the mistake to answer and engage in conversation with that one tourist. The next two tourists saw this and then they were asking questions. He had to engage in conversation with each of them. It's best not to get into conversations with the tourists, next thing you know everyone wants to talk to you.
Where are the teachers with these bunch of loud bad mannered students don't they get supervised problem is some teachers trying to get buddy with them instead of the one in charge
You are so right. The guards do tell them to get away. Problem is the people don't listen. Then when the guard yells at them, people on the internet complain and say that wasn't necessary 🤦♀️

None of the tourists should be pawing at the horses like they are dogs sniffing their hands. The girl at 20:59 looks like she got upset that the guy on the bike stopped to talk to the guard and interfered with her "perfect picture" moment and tried to get him to leave so she could get her picture. However, the nationality of the person that got upset because her "picture perfect" moment was interrupted, has no problem plowing in front of others to get pictures and poses with the horse.
Sorry, this post might get pulled for what I'm doing to say. I watch quite a few of these videos from horse guards and I find the rudest and most disrespectful of all the tourists are the Jewish. Kids are left to run riot and the male adults are just a disgrace to their culture, especially the orthodox Jews.
I feel sorry for the horses. Constant idiots crowded cackling crowding pushing for pictures. I had horses and l can tell you he would have lost it if he had to endure what these horses do on a continuous basis Hoards of people. Constant noise. It is never ending for these poor horses. There should be a barrier and these idiots sh remain behind it and NOT be allowed to go beyond it. Take your pictures of the guard and horse but you can not be in it.
I did not understand this post it all. Yeah look to me like the horse nudged the guard a policeman to come over and pick that something and I waited until the very end to see the title come forth I am not a happy observer.

I totally agree with 265petsar. All these videos are over hyped. It's always the same thing in every video, and same comments from the readers, moaning about the tourists being idiots. Nothing new. On top of that all the videos are click bait. All video titles are incorrect. I'm still waiting for "the horse did this' on this video.
I always start watching because of the title of the video but I usually leave frustrated and disappointed. I tend to watch them in the shorts instead because then they get their point across.
The two fingeted gesture is a bit misleading , facing out with the palm and other fingers showing is a V for Victtory sign. The other way round with the back of the hsnd showing is definitely an obscene gesture !!
Why are these visitors not polite enough to ask permission to touch the troopers horse? I’ve noticed a few do this, but most seem to think it is their god given right to touch a military horse.
