Horse Drawn Logging in Kentucky with Titus Morris 

I’m 83 and helped my Dad snake logs out of the woods with a mule. We live in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mts in Va., on a farm. Some of the most precious moments spent with my Dad.

I LOVE this guy. Real world knowledge and skills and a dude who seems so at peace with his existence. Lot to be learned from Titus. Leading by example.

There are good people in this world, and there are great people, then there’s Titus.

I grew up around people who live like Titus. I didn't understand them well when I was younger but I have a lot of respect for the way they choose to live.

I found you on Peter's show and have been kind of binge watching. I had to smile at the end when you started talking about the Lord, the joy on your face when you talk about Him - I felt it all the way up here in Canada. Keep doing you and giving our Lord His glory. Blessings.

May the good lord bless and keep you. I have worked with horses for over 20 years and can affirm your message about prayer and being at peace. If you make a partner out of your horse, he can even compensate for some of your shortfalls.

That was so amazing and Titus is so knowledgeable of these old skills. I also heard of him because of Peter's show. I was interested because our land has so many downed old trees that need to come out, and I thought it would be nice to not have to tear up the land with a tractor. His faith is so true.

You do not need foreign scientists to create a horse or to dig miles below the ground to fuel a horse. Working with horses is a small piece of engineering perfection.

Titus I love you so much!! I literally was so lost in this ridiculous city everyday feeling completely purposeless until I found you. I have not seen living like this in my entire life but my heart has always know it’s my purpose and I don’t belong in the city. You have changed my life so much! I’ve reconnected with God in a more humble loving way. I realized I’m not giving to God and I’m living for myself and my ego. I can’t do this anymore, I’m making my way back to the woods. Seemingly I’m trapped unless I literally pack up and live on illegal land. I have a one year old daughter that’s just not a reality for me sadly. I need this back in my life, the connection to God by living pure and simple. I’ve never seen living quite like this but I respect it even more! Titus I literally can’t say anything but I love your soul so so so very much and I thank you for bringing me back to God and fulfilling my true purpose to God. I will come and meet you one day in Kentucky simply for this reason, to thank you! I just want to hug you and literally flood you with thank yous for such a beautiful program I can watch that makes me feel alive again. I may not be able to leave and live this way yet but you are preparing me for what God is going to open into my life. Thank you so much Titus! ❤ How can my family live this way? Buying land is all I can think anymore the way it is and the land is 60,000-300,000. I live off of $3000 a month and that’s still just scraping paycheck to paycheck to survive. Rent is $1000mo to live in the worst part of town. Utilities are $250 a month, insurance, I mean it’s so sickening I can’t even breath some days. That man you got a ride from in the truck that spoke to you about the same situation im in was so right. It really touched me because I’m in the same boat, we all are who arnt living like you guys. I’m living for a home and food, doesn’t make sense because I can have that freely from God. Problem is how anymore? I don’t have thousands for land but we really can’t afford to live like this anyways, I have nothing to show for it but a rented home and a car. I’m praying God will show me the way to get my family self sustaining. I think most people are. I wanted to get the people together and talk about how hard things are the way this economy is heading. What are we to do as God loving earth loving people now? We can’t even be free, seemingly I have to go work for them to even have a life. This just isn’t right. Can you let me know please how you came across this opportunity on this land?

That was the best and most explanatory video I have seen about working with a pair of horses, one of the things that makes me enjoy working with horses in unusual situations is how much they enjoy it.

The wisdom!

An Amish fellow in West Virginia had a band saw about the same size if not the same in a commercial sawmill operated by a horse connected to a shift that drove the blade. The horse just stepped and the saw was singing. I was impressed how powerful a horse is. Now, will Titus come back on you tube??

Titus thank you for this video I remember as a child papaw explaining the dog ears and chains and have they worked with horses pull logs but like how well you shaved those logs.

I always use a small, single bunk yarding sled and bind the logs onto the bunk
