@@wutm8 It isn't. Horses are very well aware of their surroundings to a point that, if a horse ever steps on your foot, it's completely deliberate and not an accident. Horses know how big they are and what impact their body has on others, so this horse would never shake its head in such a way that it would hit the kid. If a horse ever bumps into you or hurts you with their body, that horse meant to do that and this horse shows clear signs of affection towards the child.

@@-scrim i care what he thinks. And he is right. The horse may accidentally harm her and it would pretty much be fatal. Horses don’t have the resistance that humans have so in the event that the little girl unintentionally causes some trouble to the horse, it may very well kick her.

​@@Chucklemonster No, a horse will only kickout at you if you come from behind it, which causes the horse to panic thinking it's a predator, it's reaction is it's natural instincts to kick, to protect itself from predators. And lastly I think the family are well aware how dangerous a horse can be, I doubt her parents will allow their daughter to find herself in such harm for the horse to kick her.

​@@yumjoystyle2 plenty of kids have been killed or severely injured by a gentle horse that was startled. Horses are prey animals and anybody who has lived with one know even the most gentle horse can be startled by random things and kick.

@@gamesguy I agree with that too. A scared horse is a very dangerous thing. But I ment that if you compare them pigs or goats for example, they don't seem to act different around humans depending on their age. While horses, dogs and other animals like them seem to understand that babies (and old people even) are different than "regular" adults. I guess it is just a matter of "animal that lives with humans" vs "domesticated animals" that actually understand humans. But yeah, I have to agree again, they're still animals and ish hapens.
