I really enjoyed Royal ascot and ITV coverage was superb. There Sunday series has been fun esp Luke Harvey going around the place interviewing spectators or connections of runners like one occasion thought was the wife but was neighbour. It was so funny digging a hole for himself. The Aussie sprinter was a highlight and great for racing.
One of the biggest high points for me at Royal ascot was isle of jura beating the big guns! Was so chuffed for callum to finally have his day in the sun after ridiculously being jocked off ambiente friendly in the derby ! Good for him 👏
Ed you stand your ground old chap ….I’ve seen the chanting brigade on the ITV FB threads and I’d suggest many…..which I do ask them if I engage them ……haven’t been near a horse in their entire life or around the ppl that make the days like Royal Ascot happen, imho they just like attention and will attempt to get that in any way they can! I must admit I don’t and never will be one that would want Taylor Swift or the like in the Royal Procession ……..a celeb she may be ….our King and our Royal Family have the Stardust, don’t imho sully that! I might add maybe if the Princess of Wales has been in sufficient health and well being to have attended, Ms Swift might not have got a mention!!! …….I am old School and God Save the King!
Nowt wrong with Itv racing or Ed, i have followed racing for 50 years and they bring a bit of fun to the racing which caters for a sifferent audience. The old fogies sitting there in their trackie bottoms are not the future of the sport they are a dying breed which will soon be gone.
