For the clip at 2:10 where she said it doesn't never works actually it does. I saw a horse who is doing cross-country and rider was not on the horse I don't know where the a horse rider fell off or if they both fell. But a group of people got into a line to stop the runaway horse on the cross country track and that worked.

It can be but not always. For the top horses it is a good life, that ends with many years on the stud farm, but for the also rans, who make up the numbers, it is a difficult time that, for horses in the UK, ends in the slaughter house in Belgium, after a relatively short life. In Europe they eat horse meat.
@MurfE73 if u live in Australia then u would know how many cases of race horse abuse there has been over the past years. Yes, there are trainers who are good to the horses and let them run naturally, and then there are ones that drug horses and shock them and go above and beyond to put there horse to discomfort for money

Don’t know why this is in my recommended but I don’t like horse racing at all and I don’t agree with it. Too many horses get hurt so badly that they have to be put down since their injury is really bad. I know this is what they are best for but it’s just heartbreaking to see them fall over and then get put down. I’m not a horse lover by any means but I just don’t agree with this sport at all. Just my opinions, you can have one too.
This is why racecourses try to stop parents putting their young kids legs over the parade ring and sitting them on the rail. You never know what can happen with a horse.

OUCH. Hi y’all I forgot I posted this. I don’t hate racing. My opinion has completely changed and I’m not a six year old in a fifteen year olds body anymore. Flat racing? Yeah, perfectly fine! As long as it’s safe for the horses and older than 3. Steeplechasing? Yeah no. That one should crash and burn. I apologize to anyone and everyone who had to read this. I hope your eyes are ok. Just know that abuse and death happens in every sport, racing gets a bad rep because of people like my past self. Thank you! You may want to take some ibuprofen for that headache I gave you.
so much for horses being fed up with being beaten up and being driven to exhaustion way too often. I love horses, riding, even sports, but the race industrie is a cruel business.

Look at Rollkur dressage teaining...showjumping, EVENTING...at least racehorses are ridden with loads less shit in their mouths and have the most natural way of going...l dont agree with the 2yo racing etc but look at what they looose jump 3yo showjumpers over!! ( you can guarantee theyve been jumped much bigger and repetitively at home)

I say horses are not at all crazy, but very easily driven crazy. Your horse is a mirror of your soul. Now I know there is far more money about than horse-sense, and I don't care how much you pay to what trainers you cannot buy horse-sense, and the horses themselves know it.
