Thank you for setting the record straight with the employee issues. Can’t believe she took an adopted horse to auction. So awful. Hope you guys got that horse back.
@@schluterkristina7165 actually that's not true. Prior to the adoption they did own the horse and plus they had the contract stating the horse gets returned if unable to keep.
Loyalty is loyalty, thats what you should expect from your workers. They represent you, so you need to have and expect that loyalty. You did the right thing. Every action has a consequence.
She needs to tell the truth about herself and stop putting blame on all the employees she fucked up now she’s trying to cover it up if you guys only knew have to true you would want nothing to do with her trust me I know she’s our neighbor we see a lot that goes on and a lot of people she has her rest around us because we don’t appreciate what she’s doing
It must have been hard to tell the world the problems from last winter. Loyalty, integrity, honesty are important for a person to have. Tawnee and Jason you are leaders in the horse world...not just rescue.
Thanks for explaining, but you have every right to terminate an employee that undermines the company's mission in any way. I appreciate the transparency, and if I lived closer I would love being a part of what you are doing.
@@donnatindall2286 THANKS! I SURE WOULD TOO. I AM 80YRS OLD AND I HAVE LOVED HORSES FOREVER. I ALWAYS WANTED A HORSE, ALWAYS!!!!!!! WHEN I WAS A YOUNGSTER AND VACATIONING MY GRANDPARENTS ON THEIR FARM NEAR MONTREAL CANADA I WOULD STAND OR FOLLOW THE HORSES MOST OF THE DAY IN THE FIELDS. IF I WERE WEALTHY I WOULD VISIT YOUR HORSES PLUS AND ADOPT ALL THAT I COULD AFFORD. I THANK YOU SO SO MUCH FOR ALL YOU DO. I WATCH YOU EVERYDAY SOMETIMES FOR HOURS.. GOD BLESS ALL OF YOU!
I did wonder what happened with those three people, and I'm so glad you got to the bottom of what was going on. There is no room for people like that in an organization that helps animals in so many ways. You can't trust them any longer, nice job and keep up the wonderful work y'all do, I'm with you 100 percent. Love y'all dearly.
It is so sad when you have to do what you not only had to do, BUT your legal responsibility is to keep your organization safe. You did that. It's very hard to do. Kudos to you.
Exactly...so glad and thankful to the woman who did the right thing and made them aware of what they were doing...kudos to all of these wonderful people who put the animals first...
Thank you for setting the record straight. First and foremost, those horses come first no matter what. Unfortunately there are people out in this world that do it for money. It is so sad. Thank you for all that you do. I know there are ones that cannot be saved. Keep up the awesome work!
@@meycoe lol me, lol I'd be saying wow, that horse is nice looking..I'd be looking at the horse and go the young dude trimming his feet is too funny..mabe someday we will get to see his wife.
Really trashy of those girls for their duplicity and I'm so glad that lady reported them. Your organization works so hard to help these horses that you certainly don't need the bad publicity they could have given ya'll. Can't wait for more of Season 3! I can't ride anymore due to back issues so I really enjoy tuning in and living vicariously through you guys and seeing the wonderful work ya'll do.
Hey Tawnee and Jason, have been wondering about those girls. So honest and out front of y'all to tell the stories. It hurt so bad to see them carrying horses to the auction which have already been through so much, and break a contract. I'm disappointed, but if you don't truly have love for the horses in your heart it will show through. Thank y'all for all you do.
I was wondering what happened to the girls, but now I understand. How horrible for you (all), and their duplicity behind your back. They made their own bed, and I’m sure you’re grateful to the lady who’d been to the Auction & pointed out what she’d seen (first hand). Combined with other actions, you had no choice but to let them go. I can’t imagine the shock you felt that day, but agree it’s the integrity of Horse Plus, that keeps your mission strong. More people will be attracted to your cause & join you. Thank you for sharing what’s happening & I enjoy watching your program & your mentoring programs successes!
I'd like to say a few things.. First, thank you to Horse Plus. I v watched your videos for a long time. I really appreciate what u do.. I always fantasize about winning g the lottery and what i could do with all money..lol...id donate to my favorite animal rescues. In any job, the horse s, mission, and integrity come first. You my friend did the right thing coming to the viewers to exain the truth..that in itself is strong and speaks volumes..as for the 3 girls, they have to live with them selves..hopefully they have learned some valuable lessons.. Im from Ontario Canada...i always think i want to come to your rescue for a month or longer to work and learn. I only have rescue animals. Mabie some day ill get to come to your farm... Keep posting .. Xo
It takes a lot to run the organization with honor and commitment to the horses you rescue and not let people who slide away from those standards take the org down with them. You did the right thing ! Thank you for explaining this all to us!
I'm so sorry about those three individuals. What a shame that they started to think like that. Bad news for them. I hope as they get older that they realize that they've made bad decisions for themselves that have consequences, not to mention karma.
@@catjarasmussen8078 Okay,. The other one is Jessie. The other Sarah DID resign, so I don't know what else to say. We can agree to having heard/read different things.
Horse Plus is a singular example of unyielding determination to yank horses out & away from the precipass of a final walk; to then restore them to their wholesome grandeur. Kudos Team
For those complaining about T & J addressing the staff changes... Had the girls been let go for poor work performance or other non public actions then airing the reasons would be in poor taste. HOWEVER Those girls actions were visible to the public and what they did reflected poorly publicly on HP. Explaining what happened and how it was dealt with is called being transparent and is an absolute necessity when you rely on donations. If Jessie was worried about her personal safety at the auction wearing the logo then she should not have gone to the auction. No doubt there was plenty of work to be done at HP with so many of the staff away at the auction. She didn't seem to be concerned for her safety when she was riding a sick horse in the ring. Breaking a contract has consequences, so does committing fraud. Don't spit into the wind and then act surprised when you find a loogie in your eye.
I agree with you with your decision. Your employees are responsible for conduct at all times. Especially around horses, they represent your mission with the horses.
I am so glad that you are maintaining the integrity of your rescue and ensuring the quality and moral fabric of those who are aligned with you. The horses deserve only the best!
It's refreshing to know that there are people like Tawnee and Jason out there, who not only talk about their mission and values, but also stand behind them the way they did. That gives me hope and courage to move forward in my own endeavors
I always tear up on adoption days. I'm so excited that the horses are getting a new loving forever home. I'm sorry you guys had to go through the issues with your employees. I don't understand how they can support a horse trader, knowing the work that you at Horse Plus are doing. Thank you again Tawnee and Jason
I really appreciate your transparency and I truly respect your actions and the standards you all keep. It is so shocking to me that these young ladies have such a shallow morale compass.
So sad to hear about the three employees and why they are no longer there! So heart breaking to know these three were not there because they wanted to help do their part to help sick, injured horses 100%. Seems they had two sides and I for one do not appreciate fake people! We all know from watching the videos part of the adoption agreement is that if you adopt and at any point can not care for or keep the horse it is to return to the rescue! Sorry, she knew that and to try and sell the horse was just her way of giving HP a middle finger. But it seems HP did the adult thing and just smiled back at her and got back what was meant to be with them all the time! To potentially sell an animal with health issues and not provide that information to a buyer your no better than those who buy sick horse for slaughter! Wish none of them any ill will but true colors show and people around those 2 or 3 will see that ugly side of them soon enough!
Garrick is great! I love his humor, work and approach to horses. Garrick, don't take personally a stupid comment ! I am shocked about the three girls , I thought they , like the others , have a genuine love for horses. just wow
So very sad these three girls went down the wrong path. I noticed them missing, but had no idea that had happened. Thank you for explaining what happened. I liked all three of them, but they got their priorities wrong & supported the wrong people. It’s not about the money, it’s about the care for these poor animals. So sad, for them but especially for you guys at HPHS to move forward from this. 😕 Sad, 😡 Angry, but utter respect for what you do. 🥰
@ bonzaburns they saw the dollar signs $$$. Unfortunately they showed the horses suffering and lying to make money were less important than money $$$ to line their pockets! SMH
To me it sounds like this trader manipulated them... I just can't wrap my head around this story. They saw all the misery that goes on in the industry and despite that, chose to help abusers. I just can't explain it other than somebody must have messed with their heads.
I have more respect for HP now knowing that they will ALWAYS keep the horse's best interest in hand even if it hurts their hearts by having to let family go.. Much Love.
Thank you for your transparency. There's no room at an animal rescue for someone who exhibits that level of unawareness and tries to justify how they've let both the horses and Horse Plus down. My hope is that they realize they've been brainwashed into thinking that their behavior was okay and I hope they stop doing harm. They may have been fan favorites once, but no more. A rescue needs to have a zero-tolerance policy for anyone who doesn't support their mission and you did the right thing by cutting them loose. And also by telling us about this so we don't think they're representing Horse Plus. Looks like you're got a strong team shaping up this next season. Can't wait to hear about all the good you're doing!
Your honesty and the integrity of your organization should be completely noted. Yours is the best horse rescue in the country. The people you gave mentored like Pony Tails and the one the sweet gal runs in Colorado are so dear to me! When I can, I will donate. I could just hug you all in a bundle! At 70. I can safely say you all make the biggest difference! You are the first organization I have ever donated to. So you made a fan of me for sure! God bless you for all you do!❤️
Working there when I was their age would’ve been my dream come true and they threw it all away. Talented young ladies, what a waste. My son & daughter in-law are in Bellevue on a 4 acre horse property and thinking of getting a mule. I’ve been forwarding your information and pictures so maybe they’ll be adopters!
As an employer you did the absolute best thing for all parties involved. Unfortunately these type of situation never end well but also speak volumes for your clients and viewers. God bless you for all you do💜🙏
I've gotta say, y'all handled that a whole lot better than I would have. I'd have blasted them on my site for their disrespectful ways. Thumbs up 👍 👌 the horses all deserve better than what those 3 offered to the horses 🐎! Their responsibility to those horses should have been first and foremost! Great job Tawn n Jason! 👏 your both so awesome as is most of your staff now (I say most because you never know. As with the 3 let go). 🐴🐎🐴🐎🐴🐎
I recently cited your organisation as an example of how to run a business with the best interests of your clients (horses) in mind. I live in South Africa and have been watching your RU-vid channel for a number of years now, and I am in no way confused about your organisation's mission and operational integrity. I was really puzzled that people who work with your team in their daily lives could be so misguided.
first let me say transparency is always the best choice. I am glad you spoke about this because it makes it clear what your priorities are. You were kind enough to say that your organization was not the best fit for these young ladies and moved on. Exactly what you needed to do!
Thank you for letting us know what really happened because the online drama was disheartening. Your organization has saved a lot of horses and given many people a lot of happiness in their lives. It’s sad that the two that were talented with horses have chosen greed over decency.
I am so impressed with Garrick. We live in a very rural area and finding a fantastic farrier isn’t easy. Those horses stand for him because they trust him. Great work!
Hey, i Love all people from horse plus and you Tawny and Jason did the right Thing. Its hard For you, but Sometimes You can't Look INSIDE the head of people ,you might thought you know good. You did it right and We Love you!😔🍀😘😊🐴🐴🐴🐴🐴
So glad you explained the absence of the 3 gals. I had been wondering what had transpired but had no idea. There ethics are not aligned w HPRH, so I fully support your actions.
Well done guys! Difficult issues, dealt with extremely well. People taking advantage of their positions. Congrats for handling things sensitively, whilst keeping the main focus at the forefront. Big hearts.
I did wonder what had happened to Maddie more than anyone else. I now understand completely and know that you did exactly what was best for your organization and the horses you help. Understandably I am saddened by what was done by Maddie and the others but their actions were not appropriate to what they were supposed to do. This is a wonderful organization and what you do for the horses you are able to purchase is beyond measure.
Tawnee and Jason you asked for comments on this integrity issue. Good on you both on your integrity on all these issues hats off to you for manetaning integrity all the way around and the currage to address the matters publicly. Hats off to you both I agree 100%. From a retired cattle rancher in Canada. Love to horses plus.
i appreciate the up date at the appropriate time in the employee status to fill us in with the issues you have to go through. Being a former employer, it is always difficult to continue to do the right thing for the employee and the organization while upholding the law protecting the employee. You were great in your timing and gentle care of these amazing young people who will appreciate you in the future.
Thank you for caring enough about your viewers to explain how you manage the difficult challenges not only with the horses but with people. It is great to see that your organization's focus is always on what is best for the horses.
Thank you for your rational, non-hysterical explanation of what happened. I'm sorry you've had to deal with this and that we all have to be disappointed but you faced life well. May you all continue to bless and be blessed.
I appreciate your honesty and for sharing. I too was missing seeing those employees and wondered what happened. You continue to put the horses first and I respect that.
Your organization handled a very difficult situation with grace and good judgment. You have also sent a clear message to your employees and the public that your organization is filled with solid integrity, just as it should be. If I were a horse in need, I would want to land in your organization and I would want a confident and competent farrier like Garrick working on my hooves!
First time I’ve commented. I appreciate that you hesitated to use their names but your truthfulness and transparency is what makes for a good donor/organization relationship. Thank you for all you do.
Thank you for sharing. Horse Plus you are 100% in the right and it is important to see the good and bad of the internal so people understand the magnitude of what it takes to manage a great organization. Well done!
Thank you for sharing what happened to three former employees; HPHS is made of up people who rescue horses, and I also wondered where these folks have gone; thank you for clearing the air. Rescuing horses is a 100% job of dedication to what is best for each horse. You're either on board with that (and with company policy), or you need to go elsewhere. Continued best wishes to all @HPHS for a successful and harmonious future.
Thank you so much for letting us know what happened with Maddie Sarah and Jessie you did a great job! And once again did what is best for the horses! Which is NOT Surprising. Love you ALL!💕
Thank you for explaining the situation of (myself) missing employees on your show. I missed seeing them and now know your reasoning of letting them go from your organization. They will be missed by your viewers but as an animal lover I do understand that letting them go was a good thing.
Doing what is RIGHT, can feel hard(er), sometimes. But in the long run it usually ends up being the only real choice. The group at HP is excellent. Absolutely excellent.
We appreciate your honesty and standing for Horse Plus Humane Society's creed. Finding people with integrity, authentic love, and compassion for horses is a treasure. Thank you for sharing the truth.
You all handled this with such grace and kindness. I’m forever impressed with your integrity and honesty. I am so grateful for your diligent and healing work. Thank you. Horses are the best for the human soul.
I am so glad to hear you are keeping your employees accountable and that you have only caring honest employees. Those are the kind of people the horses need. Thank you!!
Thank you for telling us what happened about the 3 girls. I wondered what happened to them as I just started watching the videos again. Thank you for always protecting the horses!
WHOW! WHAT A BETRAYAL BY THESE GIRLS. GOD IS GOOD! cuz we're mov'en on without them to greener pastures and saving lives👍 Thousands are here to support Horse Plus, we love you❤👍🙏
Thank you so much for the staff issues information. These kids are learning life's do s and Don't s as they go, All of you are mature and moral role models they choose nót to follow, I choose your organization because of your high standards. God Bless you,
