Riding all 10 trails at Horseshoe Bike Park in 2020. Let me know in the comments what your favourite trail is at the park. The trails here were so much fun! I would highly recommend making the trip over this summer to check them out.

My favourite was trail #8 - I liked how the top section was fast with flowy jumps followed by a more technical bottom section with berms and corners.

Nice place. Close to Copeland Forest and Simcoe Forest (if you have a local map, trailforks is blocking many of the private land trails) perfect for a 3 day long weekend.

I just moved here in Ontario, and I have been looking to go and try some trails here, good thing I came across with your video on youtube! now I know where to go on the weekends. Do you have to get the seasonal pass though, to get an access with the trail?

Thanks! all the video segments are either 1st or at most 2nd run through on them and took place over a weekend of riding there. I have ridden at horseshoe before in 2013 for a DH and Enduro race so I knew roughly what to expect.

So ive been going to blue mountain bike park for the past 6 or 7 years, and ive got an old giant trance x3 for xc riding and a giant glory for downhill. Since blue mountain is closing the bike park permanently ive been looking for another lift assisted bike park to go to and this place looks so good. The thing is, the trails don't look like they really warrant a full on dh bike. Should I sell both my current bikes and get a burly trail/light Enduro bike or keep the dh bike for this park?
@AdventureTrailsTO
@AdventureTrailsTO 3 года назад
Good question - I really believe that the enduro/trail bikes of today are very impressive. They will likely pedal better than your trance and descend better than your glory. I recently rode Bromont on a Norco Sight, which is 160/150 and was able to ride up the hill easily then ride some of the knarly double black DH runs on the way down. It's also nice to have one bike that you can do everything with.

Nice job! can't wait to make a day trip up from TO myself. Is that your RMB Element? How did it handle the downhill. I just upgraded to a 2021 RMB Element and was wondering if the 120mm upfront was enough or should I rent a downhill specific. FYI not as skilled as you. Thx!
@AdventureTrailsTO
@AdventureTrailsTO 3 года назад
Yeah I’m riding the element with 100mm front and rear travel. I think you would be ok to ride the trails on your bike however I think the experience would be much more enjoyable if you were able to rent a DH specific bike.

@AdventureTrailsTO

I don't believe there is any restrictions on the type of bike you could ride on the trails. I'm not sure if there is any restriction for putting large size wheels on the lift.

Yeah. There’s Copeland Forest across the street. There’s kids friendly trails there
@AdventureTrailsTO

Try copeland forest across the street like Datchis mentioned. Horseshoe does actually have a whole range of XC trails available right on the resort but I think they may be more difficult.

How much travel do you need to comfortable ride these trails? I’ve got a Trance 29 with 130mm on front, 100mm in the rear. How do you think it will hold up?
@AdventureTrailsTO
@AdventureTrailsTO 2 года назад
The bike I was riding is a 120/120mm Norco Revolver FS and I enjoyed it. I think your bike would be fine with the 130mm upfront. Most people would say around 140mm is ideal.

@AdventureTrailsTO

@@spencergill848 open face “trail” helmet for this video. I would recommend adding knee pads at a minimum. I did not as I was mixing in some cross country riding while doing the DH laps.
