Lol 😂 why everyone call S:P Little Knight a guy when it’s a woman? Beyond that I love what I’ve learned in this video but please be correct on the genders of the cards.
they have never personally come out with their gender buddy so i advise you to keep your god damn mouth shut before i personally file a complaint to the konami head quarters about a sexist attacker of the entire LGBTQIA+++++ community (this is a joke)
Evenly Matched is alright but they can just chain Little Knights effect to temporarily banish himself and another boss monster to dodge it. I forgot Spell Shattering Arrow exists, definitely a good budget pick against decks liike Horus or those with overpowered field spells.
Honestly while it's certainly not the worst thing to encounter, I really do dislike the design of the Horus cards. Repeatable high level bodies every turn is genuinely obnoxious, especially because if they either leave the field on a few easy ED interactions, or they wall up and you have to make a devil's deal on which effects you're most okay with resolving. Generically SP is your best basic out, because she can Banish Sarc on summon, and if they have Imsety you can chain to dodge his send effect, though it is non-targetting so careful of anything else you might have on the field.
I think the problem with this engine is that it has a very low skill floor. Very easy to use to high potential. It doesn't involve some lengthy combo which you have to alter your lines to play around hand traps or whatever.
Skill in yugioh isnt measures by length of combos. You never shoukd expect your opponent to mess uo his combos so that part is irrelevant. Skill in yugioh is knowing what your opponent can do, will do, should do and probably has in his hand or even their deck based om the cards already used or archetyle he plays. Only then you will know what to interrupt or which endboard you should build. This is what skill means in yugioh. It means to have insane knowledge about everyones else deck does and has in it based on experience. @@OvercastYGO
@user-vl8ck4gz6w There are many things in a game like Yugioh that could be classed as a skill. And what you described is definitely one of the most important ones. Another skill, which I was referring to, is consistency. "Higher skilled" players will make less mistakes. Something I need to work on myself. Horus is one of the easiest decks to play in the game right now to play, aside from maybe cheese stuff like Stun or Burn, which is why I think it is so popular and why I see so many people complain about it. If you play against a Snake-Eye Fire King player in Gold or Platinum rank then quite often they are going to make an error when setting up and surrender on Turn 1, giving you a freebie.
unchained is really good vs horus. You wait until they discard their hand, then when they summon the first guy just link him off with rage into sp, banish the sarc from field and youre good to go.
Depends if they choose to keep the Horus monsters on the field or use them for XYZ and Link monsters. If they leave 4 main deck Horus monsters out then yeah they'd go plus 6 or something, but my opponents almost always XYZ them into a Rank 8 and Little Knight.
Noticed Necrovalley wasn’t mentioned. Also very effective against Horus, I’ve played a few games on master duel as stun, and my opps will always sit for a good minute after dumping their hand to get Horus engine online and not realizing why their GY isn’t glowing yellow. They may also try to remove the barrier statue or equivalent monster thinking that will get their plays going and then they figure out it did nothing.
11:20 There is a small chance.... Me: is that small chance a %100 chance they have a 2nd in hand? All King's Sarcophagus I negate have a 2nd copy in hand
I think these kinds of video are a good idea. Reminds me of the old meta deck breakdown videos that Cimo used to do. Biggest issue I see in Master Duel, though, is that the cards that are good against Horus are pretty bad against the other decks currently in the meta. Even worse, some of those decks are also running the Horus package.
Still makes them go minus one if they have access to another King's Sarc. If they've already used Imsety search then it's hard for them to access another.
Youre forgetting horus has more cards, you can get around summoning from the gy by using canopic protector, you can use it to summon from gy or your hand, when ever an opponent uses effects, also use horus the black flame dragon LV 4,6, and 8. They are protectected as well with kings sarcophagus. As well as dark horus and horus servant. You can use all these to also to give duamutef 1200 extra attack. Lv4 and horus servant can be normal summond from hand. Finally they have a synchro Metaphys horus that his effect is 1 of 3 depending on what monster you you tribute which is one tuner and either normal, effect, or pendulum monster. Horus black flame dragon lv 8 can negate activation and destroy any spell card. If you have horus servant. Any LV horus black flame dragon cannot be targeted by any effect, spell, trap, monster card.
Yeah I don't cover absolutely every card and combo decks can use. Otherwise I'd be here until the sun explodes. I try to aim for around 20 minutes runtime so make sure I cover the most widely used cards and combos. I think I have only played against that trap card once in Master Duel.
@OvercastYGO you covered it really good, tho. It's just my favorite so far since i started playing 3 months ago. I'm still a noob. I learned by videos like yours. So thanks, hopefully you keep making more.
I absolutely destroyed a horus deck with my gren maju control deck in 1 turn during locals Normal summon a banisher of the radiance, gold sarc necroface to mill 5 to the banish zone, allure of darkness to banish the second necroface, card destruction, and the third necroface to mill another 5. Been using this deck a lot, with pretty mixed results. It does very well against snake eyes and purrley but kashtira is such an even match, one you lose over time
It isn't but it's easy so it's everywhere. One card starter for 2 to 4 beaters that come back on the field every turn pretty much. It's so easy. It's no thought. They have so many effects on each card.
Sanaphond the Sky Prison straight up locks your opponent out of special summoning from the GY for two turns and basically renders Horus' key continuous spell useless, it also gains ATK for every monster in both GYs so can be hard to beat over if they're locked out of their main strategy
I think what annoys me the most is they all kinda look the same? On master duel, that yellow background makes em all kinda blur together. Also Trade-in is a net zero on paper. You lose the the trade-in itself+the monster you discard (-2) for 2 cards (+2) leaving you with a wash. Obviously the horus monsters combo from there, but trade-in by itself isn't a plus.
Do feel Horus math should be a slight different Since Horus also is usable in the GY it is +1 and -1 if your Trade In for Horus monster is ashed Or just literally anything summonable from the GY without additional cost
It's not good for Horus. Soul Drain stops "activated effects". The Horus cards ability to summon themselves is more of a summon condition and NOT an effect that requires activating.
