You did a wonderful job! I have been watching so many cinder block bench DIY’s, but I must say...yours maybe my favorite thus far! Definitely trying this sectional in the upcoming weeks. Thanks for the inspiration.
I do have a question though. Can you tell me how many cinderblocks you used. I didn’t see it mentioned and I’m trying to figure out how you placed them. Thanks so much!
Lori Rauscher sure thing Lori, I used 27 cinder blocks total- I share how I actually break down how I created the sectional in my DIY Patio Makeover Part 1. Please refer to that video for details. I hope this helps.
Jose Centeno| thank you!!! Blessings to you and yours as well- I purchased 3 yards per bench (72” in length). This gave me a bit of wiggle room for error. I hope this helps. The amount of fabric you will need will depend completely on the length of your bench/cushion as well as the depth of your cushion.
The plywood and the cushions are 72” long, 24” wide. Here’s the Amazon link for the cushions FoamTouch Upholstery Foam Cushion High Density, 3" H x 24" W x 72" L www.amazon.com/dp/B017WPIDB8/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_SRT93BKESHAF7GPR7XVP?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
Sure, thanks a million for stopping by OSL TV! I shared this information within the video- I purchased the form from Amazon it is high density (very form), 3inches tall, 24inches wide and 72inches long. The plywood is also 24x72inches. I hope this helps... Be sure to give this video a 👍🏽 and share it, thank you!
@@House_of_Shaw thanks so much. I got so excited watching your video that I must have missed buying from Amazon part. I am trying to get everything this week. One more question: So you did not screw/ attach this cushion seat in anyway, I guess its easier to move it in case of rain/ storm etc but I am worried about its moving while sitting. What did you do ?
Craigslist Account| No worries, I am more than glad to assist you... feel free to rewatch the video and make notes. The dimensions of the plywood, form, and the (exposed) sectional are the same so I do not have have a problem with the seating sliding or shifting- it fits likes a puzzle. You can adjust the 4x4’s and cinder blocks to adjust the fit of the seating- you should only have do this once however. I remove my seating to preserve it from the elements. I hope this helps- happy crafting!
Hey Meagan, the furniture remains outside, because the wood has been stained it endures the rain just fine- once the seasons change I plan to cover the sectional to preserve it longevity. The cushions can be stored the a shed or garage.
@@House_of_Shaw The project came out beautiful. God bless you and the familly. I have a question : How much fabric does it take to cover the foam ? and where did you buy the fabric ? Thanks
