First off, great review ! Looking at the holster there are a couple of things I didn't like. First, as you stated there is no sweat guard. That can be especially noticeable on a warm day. Second, the design at the bottom of the holster just to the right of the barrel area (if you were wearing it) protrudes down towards the belly. If a person is sitting in a vehicle or tree stand for example, that portion of the holster has the potential of poking the belly area and being uncomfortable, especially if one is larger or has a big belly. That area should be more horizontal and less downward. Of course wearing it higher up on the chest might keep that from being a problem. Maybe that's just the holster design for that particular Ruger pistol and other models are less so. It does look like a good chest holster overall and is priced very competitively. Would like to see them maybe change those two things before I would buy. Again, very good review.

Funny you mention that- this does poke me if I wear just a thin shirt. I only wear this with heavy winter clothes, which eliminate ls that issue for me. But you are correct, at least for this Pistol it is an issue.

There is a retention screw option for Hosking. Just not for the weapons light models

I'm actually in the search for a chest holster for my Glock 20 and it seems like this is the holster I'm going with with the added kydex in the back.

Dear Murphy Firearms Training- I appreciate your RU-vid video, and purchased a Hosking holster because of it. But could you do me a favor? Please delete the last comment after your video. Such comments should not ever be written, and this poster should be reprimanded for posting such garbage. I am in no way related to Hosking holsters but am one of their satisfied customers. Thank you for your attention to this issue.

Comment has been removed and I appreciate you bringing it to my attention. Still wear mine every time I go deer hunting.

Are there bands to secure the excess straps to keep from flopping?

There are not. The excess strap just hangs out. Same for the Kenai that I compare it to in my other video. Good question.

Easy fix is to use electrical tape. Wrap around tight several times. Add another wrap at any point to hold down the excess
