Hi Hadley! I accidentally stumbled upon your videos and I'm hooked! I pray if I'm ever on hospice, I get a nurse who is caring and compassionate as you. My daughter is a nurse, but she works in vascular access. I'm also from Louisiana, and fun fact-my pawpaw's best friend was named Hadley and he was a semi-famous musician! I hadn't heard that name in a long time.

I love your content SO much! I was a covid med surg nurse throughout the pandemic, and that's actually where I started my nursing career since I graduated May 2020 and started working June 2020, however I became burnt out so quickly which was so discouraging because I lost the love of nursing I originally had and wanted it back so badly, I didn't want to give up. I decided between FNP school and leaving the bedside so I applied to school and my plan was I either get in and go to school or I do something else and I thought about home hospice care (I knew I would have been happy with either one). I ended up getting in to school and am currently studying for my MSN which I am enjoying to an extent, but part of me wishes I still did some home hospice nursing. So who knows, maybe I'll graduate and work as a hospice RN or NP. I love your videos so much and they drive me to keep hope and have kept me super interested in hospice nursing. I want to be an advocate for how great hospice care can be and I hope one day once I graduate that I can join you in this profession. Keep doing what you're doing as it inspires and educates so many people!

I just happened to come across your videos & it had a large impact on me. Whe. I was in my teens i wanted to be a nurse. The #1 thing that stopped me is the death of my patients. I'm someone who can be very emotional & worried that it would impact my life outside of work. Watching your videos is making me want to become a Hospice nurse... I am still not sure yet how I would handle the death of my patients & not let it negatively affect me too much outside of work. But I'm seriously considering it. You're an inspiration. If you have any tips on this I would greatly appreciate it. That is if you even see this lol. You're an amazing person!

Thank you to nurses like you that I was able to take care of my grandma at her own home. She had a nurse that was a very nice nurse who even visited her when she died. She had blonde hair and blue eyes. she was a kind person with a big heart. Thank you for all the hospice. If you didn't exist we wouldn't be to be there day today taken care of my grandma. She never loved going to hospitals. Because of the hospice care. They really made us have a memory that we will have with us for a very long long time. Even we can tell stories for the next generation to come. Thank you! 🎉❤

You’re an absolute angel!

I want to go into hospice so badly after watching your videos. I love working with my inpatient hospice families and patients, and so many of my coworkers have encouraged me to pursue hospice. But I'm so hesitant to go because I want to work for a good company and I honestly don't know anyone else who works in hospice to ask how well the company treats them. Do you have any tips on how to tell which companies have red flags?

Im a home health nurse and we refer to hospice quite frequently. Good to see what you guys do. I definitely feel the 5-6 patients and then getting behind throughout the day. Do you ever perfrom interventions for low vital signs? BP or HR lower than normal?

I am currently a home care provider. I am planning to start nursing school this summer. I love working with the elderly, and dying "does not bother me." I think I am a peaceful presence for the most part. (I never want to take personal drama into someone else's home, so I sometimes have to decompress in my car before I go in.)

Maybe you can give me some helpful advice.. I take care of my 96 years old neighbor, she really has no family. How do I convince her she needs a will. Or do I? Her dying wish is to die peacefully in her home and I am doing my best to make that happen. I'm just a disabled women with no experience, just a lot of love and patience. Thank you for any help

I'm currently an LPN at a nursing home and I've been really thinking about venturing into hospice nursing... but honestly my biggest hurdle is that I cry very easily when it comes to heartfelt things and when others cry... did you have this problem? Or how do you keep from tearing up when family cries etc? Or does it even matter? I wouldn't want to make the loved ones feel worse when they're already grieving cuz I can't control my tears 💔

I have a question. In our family we never had a death occur. And I feel so bad. Because my grandfather age 85. Never had no signs. Except he was sleeping alot and cold. A day before his death. He said he couldn't explain how he felt he only knew he wasn't feeling well. We got ahold of hospice. They came and asked him I'd he was in pain he told her yes. But when we asked him he would tell us no.She suggest him him a little morphine. As soon as we gave him that he went to sleep never woke up. Then the hospice nurse were there until he passed. I feel bad maybe he was having signs of him passing soon and I didn't call hospice before. 😢 feel guilty about it😢😢
