Been watching Host videos for years on Host campers and never had seen any information regarding the slides and the Snap fuses and lock bar. For that reason alone this video gets a thumbs up!
@eiloen
Wow this was super helpful! Thanks so much for taking the time to make it! I just got more and this is way more than i got from the dealer.

This is really good information. One of the best videos I've seen for providing useful, practical information on truck campers. Regardless of your model.

"Snap Fuse" if you go to auto parts store and ask for a snap fuse they might not know what you want. It's called a Circuit Breaker fuse

As a former host owner i will recommend that you do not buy there junk. I had mine for 6 months and it spent 20 weeks in the dealer repair shop trying to fix all the leaks and separation in the walls. I finally had to take my dealer and host to court to get my money back so i could purchase a quality unit. Once i got everything setteled with the dealer and host i purchased a bigfoot 10-4. We put 12,000 miles on it and our f-350 this winter and we have had zero problems from it.

Great looking camper. Lots to learn about them but don’t worry there’s plenty of helpful you tube channels that have any info and advice you may need. First thing set up in your own driveway and use all the appliances and spend a few nights in it. I have a Lance 992 and just traded it on a 2022 Lance 1172, their largest truck camper model it should be ready for delivery in March next year. Truck campers are so versatile and you can go where no other RV can go. I know you’ll really enjoy it 🇨🇦

This was great. As a hopefully future Host owner i've watched many walkthroughs, but this is the only one to ever point out the slide fuse area. I'm especially interested in the washer setup. I spoke with a host rep sometime back and he said you could basically only do approx one half of what a normal load would be. I'm also curious on how much water it uses and how much it will fill the tank. Sound like it can only run on shore power? I'll sub to hopefully get more real world info on that alone.

Host needs to make the slides have a mechanical open and close turn wheels by hand

I wish my dealership would have done this kind of job.

This is a great video, thanks so much. The lend a hand handrail. Did you through bolt it? The curved gutters that are on there, where do I get those? Thanks Bart

Great walk through by Ryan. We have a 2015 Host Mammoth and would really benefit from those extra stabilizers. Do you know what company they are from?

This baby is gorgeous but she must have some weight to her. I got a 1161 lance n when she's on my dually u can tell she's got a big load on her back. N I'm also looking into see if I can also pull a 20ft car hauler? Not sure if this is over load or not. I got a old Ford dually 7.3 powerstroke but I bought her off a older fella that only drove it to Florida every yr. Never seen snow or salt.

Side by side propane tanks, much easier to change than one behind the other.

Where is the company this guy works for. I loved honesty and how methodical he was. I would fly from AZ to get a camper from him.

Question for Mammoth manufacturers: For older campers with bad knees, why can’t the roofs over the truck cab be made 24” taller, so older campers have more room in master bedroom?
