It should be possible to mute the sound while arming/disarming. Setting or turning on an alarm at 2 a.m. means waking up all the neighbors. Please add this as feature update.
The ultimate effective distance of wifi is between 15-20 meters (no obstacles). If you place the alarm in a place with weak WiFi signal, it will affect its network connection.
