I couldn't agree more. They're the only idols I know who are dating openly and I admire them for that. They don't really care what people think about them.
unfortunately sasaeng fans are straight up crazy, They litterally don't care for their idol as long as they can invade their privacy. Someday these idols will settle down and hate is inevitable. All we can do is continue supporting them.
This is what most kpop fans should understand. They are depriving their idols this kind of happiness, i hope they realize that, and accept that their idols can't be their 'idols' fo the rest of their lives, we don't own them, let them live.
Hyuna and Dawn really walked the road not taken so future idol couples could reveal their relationship more comfortably I'm so happy PSY is helping them normalize this by sending them on more variety shows together

@Jonathan for the most part, yes. But the Korean public (and the rest of the world) tend to look down at them too. They would be like “What are they doing instead of doing their work.” They just get bashed from everywhere and that’s why the idols and their company like to keep things confidential.

I love how lately HyunA decided to be on Variety Shows which she said once she's uncomfortable to (CMIIW). I wish that Idols and Actors will be able to dating publicly and gain love & support instead of hatred. These two are just adorable just like couples I've seen most during highschool🙈

I think Hyuna is the strongest idol in the industry since her debut. All discrimination and trash talk about her doesn’t bring her down. As a fan I’m very glad to see her happiest moment like this and hoping it will stay forever. She give us music and we give her prayers ❤️
I also think the "engagement failure" stereotype has worked in their favor post-reveal. Because they both were given such a negative nickname, it actually gave them the freedom to relax and focus on each other rather than trying to create an image for the public. You can also see how their energies and minds complement each other; I can't imagine a more chill, but loving couple paving the way for idols of the future!

I'm glad that everyone's saying we should normalize idol couples, but I feel like this time the media played a big role. The fact that her relationship got so exposed out to the public and they continued to be invited as a couple to various programs has helped a lot with people accepting this relationship. If they were left in their own, and the news were labeled as a "dating scandal", I'm sure a lot more people wouldn't be okay with them dating each other. Hyuna is a big artist, she's always invited to different programs whenever she drops new material, she's really popular so she has a big influence in the korean media marketing, that along her confidence and speak-out mindset made things go better than expected, so yeah, this time around the showbiz media helped them big time~

I like both their outlook on love. That love expires at the end of each day and renews another day as tomorrow is not promised and that love is a choice that ends when you finally give up after how many time you tried to fix or rekindle the love.
I'm happy for Hyuna and Dawn because they're free to show their affection, and I applaud them because they didn't gain that freedom for free. They faced few consequences but they got through it. I think it is really brave of them to talk about their relationship like that, when idols in a relationship is such a touchy subject. I hope they are trendsetters! I, too, am for allowing idols to date if they want to, without it being a big deal. It's just part of life and they should get to control their own private lives without having to fear repercussions.
Dawn has this mysterious character that makes me love him. He's charming, cool at the same funny. And of course he is talented. I like to see more of Dawn.
