I completely agree. His cookbook is 100% legit (the first one, I don't have the second one yet). I can't think of any other famous chef who manages to be both genuinely knowledgeable and skilled like Matty but also does things I can also do in my lame ass kitchen with my lame ass skills.

I love Matty. I’m a chef, and his technique is obviously there, but his recipes (especially on this show) are very accessible to an everyday cook. Being as recognizable as he is as a chef, it’s refreshing to see someone who pulls it back to such a down to earth level.
