I'm 76 now and don't clog anymore but we belonged to a group. Our feet were fast like these young folks. Keep it up. Some of y'all look like you just want to turn loose and dance forever. RISE and SHINE FOREVER.
Myself being a underground miner in Nevada we work whith alot of the miners from Tennessee from the zinc mines.good people from the south and the miners from the Appalachian who worked the coal mines are some tough men
I love that they did not let the number of males vs females stop them. Great that they allowed females to wear almost same clothes to keep the visual aesthetics. Looks Great, and they do a great job! ! ! ! Thanks for posting!
Agreed. This dance needs to be heard. The steps literally are the beat of the music. Everyone who clogs, flatfoots, or buckdances should wear metal taps on heel and toe.
Thanks, that was terrific!! I’m from Australia and have never seen “clogging” before😁 I’m in lockdown, not jail🤣(coranavirus) and you sure brightened up my day💖Good Job you guys and galls🥰🙋🏻♀️🕊
You see clogging all along the streets of Gatlinburg, Tn., in the summer, as well. I grew up with flatfooting and bluegrass. I am so glad to see some actual talent in the world.
What a pleasure to see this. The big fellow is really athletic, quick on his feet if he plays football, I'll bet you he's a tough opponent on the field!
Culture, real culture, beautiful culture. It's wonderful to know there are families like these come from, who perpetuate what is is best from our traditions . . . . . . .
We don't have anything like this where i live on the west coast and the music & dance looks & sounds so fun & festive. Love how some of the girls where pants & tshirts to balance out the pairings too. Ever since i stumbled on a video of a little kid clogging or tapping with an old timer, I love watching.
I clogged over 30 yrs. Wore out both knees . Got 1 knee just fixed. Just as soon as I get the other one fixed, my clogging shoes will go right back on my feet.
It was real in the 60s.The competion was fierce. My girl danced for her school and won. A tiny school deep in the Smokies. What a glorious event. A small school won. A school that did not have enough students just to field a basketball team and a dance team. But she could dance and write and run a business. What a marriage! What a life! She made everything intense. I had to lay her to her rest deep in the Smokies. I did not want to, but she was gone. What a hole in my life. Please wait for me, girl. Please.
Much respect to the young lady that nearly fell at 3:28... She didn't miss a beat..I hope she was ok.. That could happen to anyone. She took it like a pro..I would have been a disaster after that..Awesome recovery hun!
They are Great ! I can see that these Kids are more disciplined than others that sit around all day on cell phone or tablet.. These Kids have Good Parents.. Things like this keep s then out of trouble...
The Tune is a scotch/Irish tune called McLeods reel played on melodeons and button accordions in my native Galway, especially in the Irish speaking area of that Irish County. Good to see it crossing the pond.
Wow! They were steady gettin' it! How many calories were burned on that stage? At first I didn't notice that some of the "male" partners were gals. Everybody was wonderful. If this doesn't make you smile, you better check yourself.
My brother and his wife used to clog and square dance with a group that used to perform at care centers and other places. Last time i saw them dance was at our folks 50th wedding anniversary.
