HOT HATCH STAGE 1+ BATTLE *FOCUS ST VS VAUXHALL ASTRA VXR* 

It's the VXR for me.. looks way better. One of the appeal factors for me is you don't see many GTC VXR's on the road.. like the ST's, GTI's and R's which are so common place.. Down side.. dated dash with it's cluttered buttons.. even after 4yrs.. I still need to look closely at the dash so as not to push the wrong button when operating the radio or sat nav.. Pretty pokey in stock formation rhough..

Vxr on the sound test I personally think I have had the pleasure of owning both these type of cars but to be honest I am a Vauxhall man personally but the focus st is by far a better everyday drivers car & handles better as the vxr is an absolute lunatic with way to much under steer unfortunately.

If vauxhall had made a 5 door they would of been top vxr still looks nice But the focus is more pratical like the RS still 5dr

I think the OPC is much more Motor Sport then the ST.. You should compare it to RS.. 🙂

Although it is an astra J previous model it still looks nicer than the focus. The astra always retains a design that is to last for decades

I need help I'm not understanding something, is the Astra GTC VXR the same as an Astra VXR?? If so is the only difference the fact that it's based on the Astra GTC which is a Coupe and not a Hatchback?? I told you I was lost....

The Astra takes the win all day for me, but being the owner of a VXR I'm pretty sure the F40 gearbox was already at the limit of its torque rating at 400nm when it left the factory. Have you had any issues with stage 1 or 2 affecting gearbox reliability?

Vxr does look nicer and is faster from factory but the interior is dated clutterd with buttons on the dash no touchscreen no heated winscreen ,focus wins it for me more practical day to day
