I love hot hide glue, it is wonderful stuff, but how do you work with it to accomplish a large glue up like the binding and purfling of an acoustic guitar? You just have to stop thinking about hot hide glue as just another form of modern synthetic glues. In this video I detail my process for glueing binding and purfling using hot hide glue. It is much more relaxing than you might think and it achieves a solid joint that is neither glue starved nor weakened by setting before adequate clamping pressure can be applied. The only downside, your hands will be covered in hide glue.

If you liked this video, I would greatly appreciate it if you would consider making a small contribution to my channel. It takes a lot of time to make even a simple video in my workshop and just a few dollars here and there really helps me to continue making these in the future.
