Not only is Tades able to hit all those notes and have that much control of his vocals but he also sings EVERY word, no breaks to hold the mic out to the crowd or anything, super impressive!
@@CoverQueen69 Yeah I watched it, pretty great set! And his breaks are pretty minimal compared to some other vocalists I’ve seen. Especially for the tone that he’s singing in, you would think he would take more breaks considering it sounds like he’s doing a lot of straining
Hot Mulligan consistently puts on one of the best live shows around. I've seen them twice this year, and both times they were phenomenal. If you get the chance to see them live, don't pass it up.
For real I was very prepared for screechy sounding vocals or something because a lot of the songs are pretty high pitch in terms of vocals, most bands in this scene the singer can sound like the album for about 3 songs. Both of these guys sound great through the entire 45 minutes, and they’ve been touring all year too, it’s really impressive and makes me like these guys even more. I started listening to them a few years ago but I haven’t paid any attention since the last EP, I’ll have to check it out finally
@@andrewbowman4010 It makes sense that they do this for their older songs, since they have been a band since high school, and Tades/Chris voices have surely gotten deeper. but it is interesting that they do it for newer songs as well
@@bbomb7 it's just easier for it to be consistent live that way. It's also less work for bands without guitar techs to tune their guitars between songs.
I was so prejudiced against this band because I really don’t like their name, but they are undeniable. So catchy, so creative, so tight live. Floored by this set.
God, with the amount of years I've been trying to see them live you'd think I would've been successful by now, but nope! Life always gets in the way, but I'm not giving up! These guys are so awesome
Shows he’s a poser. Not hard core at all. Not like this one 11 year old I saw at an Avril Lavigne show where he beat the hell out of a teenage girl during the circle pit
Saw them open for New Found last year and have listened to them everyday since. They opened for my favorite Senses Fail a few years ago but I missed the performance. Gosh they are best band around. Soon the bands these bands will be opening for them
to be oddly specific, I'm obsessed the runs Tades is doing in Armadillo Shells on "Even when I speak, it seems the words'll never come out ri-ight" I want that clip in a music box.
Sick set. But I hate when live mixers mix harmonies waay too hot. Like, they aren't even hitting the harmonies half the time but they're practically louder than the lead vocal lol. I hear this problem often and it always bugs me. Overall it sounds great though.
I'd say oh man what a perfect set list, every song is a banger! But that literally describes all of their songs. Fucking love seeing these guys getting the love they deserve.
I’ve seen them twice and they’ve played the same set as this both times. I’d love for them to switch it up atleast a little since they’re one of my favorite bands
I saw you guys with senses fail in Detroit a few years ago and I’m a bigger fan now of you than senses fail. I’ve seen them maybe 20 times and you’re the only opener I’ve ever wanted to hear more of. Man the best sounding emo music since the used and taking back Sunday and Brand new were big. It’s been awhile. Bck yrd is sooo sick
They were in the UK for the first time earlier this year as support for Knuckle Puck. Went to the Netherlands show from that tour. Both bands were fucking amazing.
Just started listening to these guys, and wish I knew of them earlier. The way the singer can smoothly switch from harsh to clean vocals so easily, and also sing every word and hit every note is insane.
This DADFCE tuning with distortion just sounds super abrasive to me live and makes everything sound the same. You can hardly hear differences in chords progressions. It does however work in the studio
I’m not even an emo fan necessarily. But these guys right here are the truth. If I could criticize them for one thing it would be the use of backing tracks. But pretty much everyone does it now so🤷🏼♂️
