Randy I dont know about other viewers, but me and the wife love your roadtrips with Monkey Wrench Mike. Its like you two are making mini comedies, like a sitcom, you 2 work good together. Love to see Santa's workshop come over and help as well, it all just flows. I started watching your Copart walk arounds year ago, then my wife started watching. We love you both, need to get Jessica involved, for your female audience. As far as selling your Chevelle, only you can make that call. I probley would, and hang on to Viper for awhile. Keep it up Randy, hate when a day goes by and you haven't uploaded anything. P.S. whatever happened to the lady monkey wrench mike meet on the plane??
Randy, these videos were awesome and I thoroughly enjoyed watching them. they were priceless, thanks again !! and also thanks to Monkey Wrench Mike. he was excellent also !!
That was great. I love a mixture of everything. Walk-arounds, flip cars, and the classics. Keep changing them around. Like Jessica said, don't forget the cheap cars since that's what many of us drive and fix too
Thank you for the videos Randy! I appreciate being able to be a part of the trip. I don't have the money to be able to do these things, so I'm glad to atleast see it in this way!!
I don't get how some people can say cars are just inanimate objects with no feelings. When you buy a car it becomes a part of you or your family. Its a part of both good and bad memories. If its sold or destroyed, you will feel some kind of way about it, especially if it did its job protecting your your family. I love your content Randy. I know if you sell it, you'll miss her. Regardless she's always going to be a part of you and MWM, also Santa's workshop. Thanks a million for sharing this special car.
Thank you for sharing these videos with us. I love the trips you and Mike undertake, and this has been my favourite of the lot so far. Much love to you all from across the pond. 🙏
I only wish it was me buying the car. There's history in my family with 1969 Chevelles, the first being an orange with white vinyl white interior SS 396 car. I wish I could have it. But I don't blame you for feeling like it's best to pass it on to its next owner. I think the car deserves to be owned by someone who truly, truly loves IT.
I will not sell that Chevelle I would sell the Viper before I sell the Chevelle I enjoy Watching you fix up classic car's saving them I really enjoy watching power tour
I'd be holding on to tha chevelle. It's an investment that will keep gaining value. These are getting harder and harder to find brother. I'm mean it matches your truck. That's a sign
I loved all the different vehicle's old and new my favorite was the one truck that girl made from a car as a teenager and to see it still it in that condition wow the love she must have for it....
I love almost all of your videos and your content is always entertaining - but I especially love watching you and Monkey Wrench Mike. Your genuine friendship shines through in these trip videos. He's def. your ride or die friend! Thanks so much for taking us along on this trip with you two.
Loved watching the videos of you & Monkey Wrench Mike during the Power Tour & the trip home! As far as the Chevelle is concerned, sell it if that is what you want to do (your car, your choice) If you do sell it, then when you get time, look at your plague you got for the Power Tour and remember the good times you had & rewatch your videos of the Power Tour. Wishing the best to you and Monkey Wrench Mike. I love y’all’s channels as well as Santa’s Workshop and Austin Carr. Oh & keep the awesome videos rolling!
My dad took a weekend trip to Reno when I was young,, Came back from the trip with a broken speedometer,, His '57 Turnpike Cruiser (Merc) had a 130 mph speedo,,, :-)
My wife and I are going to try the HRPT next year in our 1991 Ford Mustang 5.0 coupe.. She bought it new in 1991, and will have a new engine by then. Hopefully it will not overheat. Great video content, and love watching
Randy idk if your into drag racing and such but I definitely love these kinds of series. Would love to see more of these or like a drag week event if that's what your into, keep up the awesome content man just gets better and better!
My opinion of the Chevelle is why did you buy it? To enjoy? Then you need to keep it to enjoy it!! Do you live comfortably? If you do than you don't need to sell the car so keep it...if you financially need money than of course sell it....
Randy, I really like how you and MWM work together in your dialogue. You both come across really honest and believable in your comments. Will you be doing more videos on your Viper in the near future? As for your 69 Chevelle, I like what you said about how cars like this should be driven and enjoyed. Thank you for all the videos at Copart. I enjoy those or your car restoration/mechanic work videos on your own cars. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you for putting your time and effort into this amazing series! I absolutely loved this series. Love Love Love your road trips with Monkey Wrench, Mike. It's like you two are making mini comedies. The videos were awesome, and I thoroughly enjoyed watching them. I am with you Randy, sell the car and make profit and find other good car and make new content for us and profit for you, and you're beautiful. Car done its purpose now time to let it go, I am with you on this. Love the viper. Now we need a viper road trip with mike yeahhhh
It was great getting to go along on this power tour adventure with you and Monkey wrench. You got me into auction cars and now you’ve inspired me to try the power tour one year. Great videos, looking forward to you winning some cheap 80s/90s cars soon!
I am like you it would hard to let that gorgeous chevelle go but you could take part of the money and grab another classic car to fix drive and have fun with ...If I had the money & time I wish I could exactly just what you're doing you know you can always find another classic car to entertain us with ......So on with the show that I enjoy watching very much ....Safe adventures Randy & Monkey Wrench Mike and my God be with you ......Oregon loves you !
If the Chevelle was mine I wouldn't let it go for no less than $60k it's a rare color combo and it's a true SS 396 numbers matching even with the mods it has the value is just going to keep going up.
Randy you have great content. Jessica is right! Fixing the cheap cars is the core of the channel. The sport cars are fun to watch too!! The channel is great I have been watching since the Mercedes Days. It is not easy keeping viewers watching though the years and sharing your personal life with all us! We are going to miss the Chevelle!!
Like your video's. Learn from them as well. When this car came to the channel. I was very impressed. Newer cars are just that. Old cars have style, and character!
Love the video Randy, really enjoyed the power tour series and looking forward to more road trips with MWM. As for the Chevelle it's done it job I'd say sell it an on to the next adventure (it's your call in the end though).
Randy, personally I wouldn’t sell it. You don’t find matching numbers Chevelles often, that’s why everyone wants to buy it. I’d buy it if I had the money. I’d sell the viper before the Chevelle. I absolutely love the road trips with Monkey Wrench Mike. More please?
Randy, I have watched all six videos from this road trip and loved every second. You and Mike must of had the best time ever, it really did look amazing
Hey Randy,, just finished watching the latest Fab Rats video,, The beginning was about engine cooling,,, Apparently the solution is to replace the 1/2 in. bypass hose with a 3/8 in hose,, and then to drill 3 holes in the thermostat,, did not see what size for the holes were,, probably about 1/4 in,, They said that will solve big block cooling issues,, even with a stock radiator,,,, Your welcome,,, 🙂
Randy, if you get a good profit that you like, sell it. It's better one in the hand, than ten in the sky. You have enough luck and money to buy an other one and we will get other contents and video's. I love it. 👏
You can buy a factory-looking black 4-core Big Block radiator for that Chevelle. Not sure how you can check, maybe by the numbers on that radiator, but that one in it may be a small block radiator. There is a BB and a SB radiator for those cars, and if it does have the one for the small block then that might be your issue. Either way, I'd put a black factory-looking 4-core in it if it was mine.
Sell it to someone who will love it and use it. You have other cars to love. You can't drive all of them. I really appreciate the cost breakdown for HRPT. I was sort of dreaming of doing it. Now I know I would also have to commit $4000 or more to it, better to find out now.
yeah you'll regret it brother in law had a 69 chevelle ss all red white interior aluminum slot wheels after he sold it our entire family tree shook. one of a kind for all time
The car looks beautiful from every angle. Not surprised that you entertained multiple offers. You could put Monkey Wrench Mike on payroll, and just make these road trip vids. They're my new favorite
Loved the Chevelle and Power Tour series! Gave us non-attendees a real feel for the driving and shows..... and the expenses You and Monkey Wrench Mike make a good road-trip team. No doubt great memories but my vote would be to let the old girl go to that potential buyer in Orlando. OK, maybe I'm being selfish as I'm in central Florida and would like to see it at a show! Enjoy the mix of the auction walk-arounds and the road trips!
Randy - now since memories were made in you 1969 Chevelle, I personally would not sell it. It’s a beautiful car and a piece of American automotive culture. It’s only going up in value - and is a good investment for you. That’s my opinion.
Faithful watcher and yeah … definitely not into the real old cars. Dude if you could find a Buick Reatta and restore would be awesome. The 1988 -89 with the first touchscreen. I emailed Doug Demurio about those and he found one and reviewed one! Just a thought. Love love your Chanel man.
Hey Randy my name is Marcus i am a huge fan of you and Monkey Wrench Mike yall have me on the floor laughing. love yall road trips. hope you and Mike do a road trips to Richmond Va some time love to meet both of yall
That wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be. I would love to do it. My husband has a 1975 Datsun 280Z. I think it would be fun! Thanks for sharing Randy! 😊❤️🙏
Randy, you and Monkey Wrench Mike did one H-l of a great job in this series. Loved the Chevelle also which was the star of the show. What a beauty! I know you are going to or have already sold it, but at least you made some great memories in it. This, coming from a 69 Chevelle Malibu owner, which I saw one in one of your videos from Hawaii that looked just like mine (yellow with a black vinyl top). Here’s to your next great car purchases and videos. Well done!!!!!!
Sadly soon all combustion cars including classics will be banned from public streets in entire EU and Scandinavia :-( In Germany the Green Peoples Party gave order to shorten fuel supply from 2025 on by reducing all conventional fuel stations to only one state operated central gas station per city or county. Now they want to slow down all the gas station pumps from 20 litre per minute to 2 litre per minute...From 2027 on in the EU certain car spare parts will be banned too....as exhaust systems, turbo chargers and even some engine and gearbox oils...California and New York will do the same from 2027 on.... So no investments should be done in oil burning cars any longer....They even created a new kind of crime here, called emissions and smoke crime.(BABBVEN LAWS AND TEBBVEN ORDERS)!!!!!!!!!!
Wow, people aren't interested????? I'd love to have a Chevelle or Mopar from that year range. This is really showing realistically what you'd expect from owning/semi daily driving a car like this. I appreciate this series of videos
Randy, I'm glad you were able to fulfill a dream of participating in the power tour. It looked fun. Maybe next year, Mike or someone else could caravan with their own vehicles. Make it more fun. I'm also glad the trip did not take a toll on the Chevelle mechanically and the both of you as well as the car made it safely. Good timing to sell it. It was inevitable. Thankfully it came through without a scratch or dent or worse. It's not like a 13 Malibu. That Chevelle is irreplaceable and God forbid you would've had an accident or freak of nature like a hailstorm, it could've cost you dearly. As much as you like the experience of the driving the car, you might want to consider taking it on a trailer next time if it's rare and costly a car.
Randy, with what’s about to happen with the economy you really need to sell the Chevelle! You’ll be able to buy another equal car in a year or two with 2/3’s the money you get for it now. People are going to be liquidating their toys for the foreseeable future and the smart guys are going to be buying them up at fire sale prices. We’ve printed an enormous amount of money with nothing more to back it. We’re in for a rough economic ride for the next 3-5 years. The economy runs in about a 7-9 year cycle so we’ve seen this before but what’s very different in this go-round is the enormous inflation of the money supply.
Just a thought... Rinning the car at 75 mph at 3500 rpm equals MORE HEAT and reduced fuel efficiency. You could have solved these problems with an overdrive transmission. You missed an opportunity and replaced it with 4 speed OE style transmission.
