@@MrSupercar55 That metal was just reheated, it wasn't hot enough to form anything like a sledgehammer. Molten metal and liquids do not mix.

That was not water. That is a process called quenching usef to change the hardness of the steel. Many types of oil were traditionally used, however many factories use synthetic quenching fluids.

Burning off surface contaminates. It's not a clean environment by any stretch of the imagination.
