Glad I wasn't there to see the u=joint go; hearing it was bad enough. Don't know where it was made, but it is not my bag. I live in E. Tex. and am in the mud enough to not like having to bog in it, but a lot of people do and enjoy it. Different strokes.
That trail looks like it would be a blast, but I wouldn't attempt it with my '80 Powerwagon Clubcab, long box. City busses have a sharper turning radius, than the old beast. It's a simple build, 4" lift, 35's, 360, 4 bbl, 4spd. I've been looking for another '80 Ramcharger to build. Up here in Alberta, the few that I have found were rotted to shit.
+Igor K because portals are $6k a corner, and your so-called "shitty mod" is often the best a wheeler can afford. It's about doing the best with what you've got, not breaking the bank.
Great videos .I have a 1999 Zr2 since new. Just a three in lift .Goodrich km2 mud terrains .Lockers . , winch a few engine add ons.I cannot afford a specialized offroader only so I don't go this extreme but I have a good time
Thanks! How does your rig handle off-road? Wheeling sure is a money pit. I started out buying the most expensive parts I could find and quickly learned a lot of them get beat up just as much as entry level parts. It all depends on how well you take care of your setup and learning your limitations.
Actually it does quite well.I did buy a set up from lok right that eliminates the vacuum operation for four low .it works like and old manual choke cable . remove the battery and hook it up the mechanizim is under there .plug the vacuum line and it hooks to the crank to pull it manually since the vacuum tended to not work well in real cold weather .I also got rid of the stock gas tank and use and in bed 40 gal tank that way I run true duel exhaust . we do not epa test here so no cats and I run headers I went from 3.73 to a 4.33 gear .fuel milage is not a concern for me .And I can tow my 25 ft 6,000 lb jayco trailer
Juke Turbo Sounds like a fun setup. I'm getting ready to relocate the gas tank in my JK by putting a TJ tank in the rear. How hard was it to move your tank?
sucks about breakin the shaft on that one jeep, i did the same thing on my ramcharger a while back but i didnt even know it when it happened, went 2 more days and then broke the shaft on the other side so i just 2wd it the rest of the trip. got chrome moly shafts in there now :P let me know if yal are gonna come over to disney, ok sometime
+Rob Scheuerer We were all aired down. I was at 13. That's probably the most frequent critique I get on my videos, that it looks like nobody airs down. I love my Warn winch. I recently had to re-grease the inside as it's been submerged too many times and seized up. About 2 hrs of work and it's good as new.
