It is all children who race there. It is a shame what has become of that place, it has so much history but in the last decade or so has just devolved to the WWE of NASCAR.
Having been a racer (motorcycles) I can tell you that these guys have all driven themselves right to the brink of bankruptcy trying to make their nascar dreams come true. And that’s when you see the tantrums and fighting. It’s really sad up close, because they’re all too invested to see the reality of it all… None of them have the talent or the backing. I was fortunate to wake up in my early twenties. I quit racing, finished college, joined the Air Force, got paid to fly, and then came back to racing as a hobby. I had more fun then, than I ever did taking it serious.
Nah these tantrums aren't due to bankruptcy and not making nascar. A lot of these guys mainly race this track and just racing here won't get you anywhere near nascar. This a mix of small track where you have to bump to pass, and the belief that you have to get payback at this track. It's like some mental thing that happens to people when they specifically race at Bowman Gray. Idk if they tell the drivers to do these things at this track, but it wouldn't fly at most the tracks I go to. Also, some of these people treat their expensive racecars like demo cars. I don't get how you could do that. Maybe if it happened once over 10 years, but it seems to happen damn near every week.
Those officials messed up letting him stand by that safety vehicle, they didn’t notice he telegraphed that attack, he kept eying that bucket of oil dry, and then checking where the other car was several times leading up to the attack.

Haha that was hilarious I see bowman grey gets alot of hate but I think this place is great. I don't mind a little wwe mixed in with my racing. Burt is a legend love him or hate em.
