Hot Tent Snow Storm Camping 

Man I'll tell you this brings back good memories from long ago. Here I'm 60 years old now,just lost my beautiful wife of 25 years and don't know what to with myself. The feelings I get watching your videos of camping with the snow falling seems like a sweet dream,if only you can shut out the problems and thoughts of life. Maybe in the near future with my dog and myself,this can be the therapy we ,yes including my dog cause he misses my wife terribly. Could be what the doctor ordered. I have tents of all sizes that I have only used a time or two. I have to look into what's involved with cutting a hole for the stove piping. Never used a woodstove camping before. But that seems to be the ticket,having a nice warm heat source and a hot cup of coffee in the morning. That's living. Thanks for your quality work time producing these excellent videos my friend. You might just have put the fire under my butt that I needed. Thanks again for sharing your time and efforts. Looking forward to watching more.👍👍

This is the best insomnia therapy ever. If I am too jumpy to sleep I watch this vid. It is the most comforting one to watch him make a very cozy warm camp in a freezing snowstorm

As someone who plans to never get married or have kids, this video represents the exact perfect answer to the question I get often: "What do you plan to do the rest of your life if you're going to be alone?" Only thing that could be better is if the ice was thicker and that island had some level ground. Awesome winter camping video, I subscribed after a few seconds in. And I'm glad you got your snowstorm, it melts within a week or so after every storm here. Wish I lived up north farther than the UP of Michigan. Thanks for showing setup of the hot tent and folding stove too.

This is exactly why I am making a trip to 🇨🇦 Canada to camp the majestic beauty is what I crave and the camping experience I have been learning i will put into play. We have 🍕 pizza night 2 times weekly and we watch and learn your videos. The only draw back is when it ends. We will be ready to come to 🇨🇦 Canada and camp this coming winter

With the right tent ,stove and enough wood that looks like a really good time. Gloves,pants ,jacket and clothing are essential as well. Cool video

I have been hot tenting as it is now called for 35 years. I have wall tents (3) and Teton tent and a hot ice fishing tent. Best investment small chain saw, good axe and put a fly or tarp over your tent. Have spent many a night at -25 c Tarp over a wall tent or tarp or fly over any tent makes them much warmer. Also a good cott to get you off the ground. I horse pack for hunting and fishing.

One of the videos that I always come back to. When the weather is nice, you need to kayak over to that island and set up a camp. That would be amazing.

Christmas lights! That's my favorite part of setting up camp. As a new subscriber, I really appreciate that your equipment, knowledge and experiences all have gotten better over time since what looks like your first videos until the more recent. The fact that you try new methods and equipment and then share all that knowledge with your viewers is fantastic! Also, you show safe ways to use the equipment (ie: Hot stove) in addition to respecting the environment by cleaning up after is equally fantastic as well. Sadly, hot tent snow camping here in Detroit, MI is a little dangerous for other reasons and is frowned upon. Thanks and please keep the great content coming. Cheers!!!

Hi there. I am so glad you mention about LUXURY Camping and not backpacking tent. Some people get confused about gear and why we should used heavy stuff. Definitely it is a luxury tent with table and chair.

I love camping except for the fire part; years ago we had moved into a house with gas stove I went to light oven with match -it came back at me burnt my right forearm and for years that area would turn brown when I only got light tan on rest it doesn't turn brown anymore but used alot of home remedies to fix

I'm mostly surprised that the tent is used w/o a rain/precip fly. I would think that a second shell layer (with the small dead air space) would provide a lot of insulation for cold-weather camping.

Being 53 I like to hike, bike, sail, kayak, camping, swim in lakes, bays and oceans, skateboard and overall stay active and fit......winter comes and all I want to do is stay inside and keep my wood stove going 24/7. I go through 4-6 cords of wood a winter. I'm not sure what happened but I don't like winter and the cold anymore...I won't even think about skiing or snowboarding anymore.....and then we have you wearing a freaking wool hoodie and open finger gloves for warmth as you prepare a meal in the snow!!!! LOL!

Jeremy, every time I watch your videos, I wish that I was doing the same, in a similar location, LOL! However, this one has gone beyond. I've always loved that stove setup, it's awesome, and the tent is incredible. You keep making these opportunities to share with the rest of us, and everyone will keep watching! Hi nice to see you got the gamme 4 out. I've had mine out several times so far. I have used the bricks before. Love them. I've had them burn 2 1/2 hours. I use my cot often in the gamme. As long as I am camping with the truck I bring my powersaw and hatchet to make wood processing quicker. Great video work. Also showing some more in-tent filming is interesting to show how the layout works.

That lake looks really nice it will look fantastic when frozen and has snow on it I grew up in Upstate NY and even lived further north almost to Plattsburgh ( about 1 hour away) so we really got snow up there Great video and love seeing it snow thank you for sharing this adventure with us God Bless you and stay safe and healthy HAPPY NEW YEAR'S

This is a great video and your campsite looks well set up and comfortable. Having learned so much I know on my new years camp out I will be fine if I follow your lead. I have my list as I pack I check the items. I am almost ready and leaving new years eve morning. I want weather like you have to practice my camping knowledge and all my gear is checked over before I leave I am going solo. That is a great tent. A no center pole has a real lot of advantages. Random question: I just got my first tent stove, and the wood burns beautifully in the back of the box near the pipe. It's significantly hotter in the back than it is the front (to cook on). Can I more evenly distribute the heat across the entire stove by closing the damper down, or do most stoves just get hotter toward the back? Maybe you can make a video on the different phases of fire management, like from starting, to cooking, to overnight prep, to cooling down before leaving? That would be pretty helpful for me. I'm sure I'll figure it out as I go, but I'm trying to get to know my stove at home a little better before I take it out and have to rely on it.

It's new years day night my furnace died at 2am after sitting in my house in a parka 2 sweaters long John's and a toque wrapped in a blanket all day this tents looking pretty damn snazzy

Man this trip looked simply amazing! I've hiked more this year than the previous 10 years combined but had never made a winter hiking trip. I got my first one in this Christmas morning. Granted it was a short little trail at a local park but got to test out some gear and loved it!
