A beautiful area is Cheddar and only 40 mins away. Camping in adverse weather conditions makes for a more challenging and rewarding experience, and the total lack of people gives that sense of freedom from the masses, another enjoyable video Sandy, bye for now 👍🇬🇧

another brilliant video Sandy looks like you all had a very good time I live not too far away from Cheddar I've spent a fair bit of time there and it can get quite lively sometimes not just high winds with very blustery I last went out hammocking late November it was only about 5 mile hour winds but it was - 5 degrees best wishes Kev

Another great film thank you Sandy. You definitely overdo the ribbing of Rhialobran sometimes! Though I'm sure he gives as good as he gets! We live fairly close by in Street so we have walked both sides of the gorge several times over the years but never camped there like you do, we do it on nice summer days if possible as well. It looked like great fun and was very enjoyable to watch. Best wishes.

Nice to see Chedder again,my time in that area wa in the69-72 period building the motorway.Also sadly the village lost some 200 family members in the air crash in Switzerland and at another time the Gorge flooded with the village,all very sad.But life goes on each day for many of us with our ribute to the past as memories and sympathy for the unlucky.Be Blessed.

Great camp Dr & guys ...poor old Ant.....no jinx on our camp in Snowdonia...lol...bad weather there...wow......still made great viewing, enjoyed it, nice area to walk in too, the food looked very tasty....Elsa in the backpack.....dedication that is Sandy......I mean Dr. ;-)...enjoyed the video .

Love Cheddar gorge, some of the cheeses are amazing (cave aged cheddar bites back) bit pricey but nice for a treat.

I believe you love camping in adverse conditions more than when its clear! Great video! By the way, J is pronounced like H in Spanish. You would say Fahita instead of Fajita. I learned this in California whilst in the Navy. Keep up the awesome videos my friend and stay toasty in this weather.

Sometimes when I’m camping and the weather is a bit rough I love laying there wrapped up nice and warm listening to the weather but I think that may of been a little extreme 😃. 73’s

Apparently I need a tent with a stove! A week ago I went out for a little overnight camp in crummy weather. It was supposed to stay around 5C the whole night and next morning. I knew that there was about a 100% chance of rain around midnight, but when I got out to the lake it was already raining. As I set up my tarp to put my hammock underneath, I also realized that there was a lot more wind than I expected. I got my stuff under the tarp, which with the wind blowing, only kept things mostly dry, and pondered my options. In the end I decided to just pack up and drive the hour and a half back home. Sure, I could have reconfigured my tarp a bit and spent a dry night, but all and all, it struck me as a waste of time when I wouldn't be able to do any of the stuff that I had wanted to do on the trip. I guess that if I had brought one of my tents, I could have just hunkered down in it and used my Trangia stove to heat up some sort of backup food I had with me (I planned to make stir fry over a fire). I'm still a bit shocked that I left and went home......I'm sort of known as the crazy guy who enjoys going out camping in all sorts of ridiculous weather!

If you really want to experience this sort of weather more natural - use a bivi bag :) Did Vee retire to her wonderful RV - all the best to all in the video for Christmas and New Year
