HOT TOYS BATMAN ARMORY 2.0 VS TDKR ARMORY VERSION | THIS OR THAT... OR BOTH? 

As someone who has only just gotten into 1/6th scale collecting and back into figure collecting as a whole, I’m over the moon with both of these announcements. I’ve wanted both of these since i was 10 years old and being 17 now i don’t have extremely deep pockets i can fish into to get the original armouries with the prices they’re going for these days.

I have the 1.0 with Alfred and won’t upgrade. If anything I will get an Inart Bale Batman.

I have an old 3rd party armoury. I forget which company made it, but it still holds up.

The fact this is a series shows how often Hot Toys like to double dip haha. Seems like a good time for Batman fans, I think the tailoring on civilian suit looks immaculate, would only be better if they made Bruce Waynes head a stupid metalic blue.

I prefer the DKR look. It shows him coming back from defeat in a not playing around pose. Plus, I hate pin striped suits.

I gravitate towards TDKR. I like the older version of Bruce.

Don’t need it, I kitbashed the 3x for $450 total, and have all the pieces I want. Great video

I got 1.0 with Bruce and Alfred set. Yes the suit, the head sculpt and USB power are definitely legit upgrades on the 2.0 but with a HKD$3600 price tag I was sure not to go for it since I've ordered the TDKR armory. Yesterday I saw update photos of the TDKR armory Bruce Wayne head sculpt. The skin complexion on the updated head sculpt is so pale, he looks sick more than he is old. For some reason when I looked at those update photos they reminded me of Biden. Now I'm doubting if the TDKR armory will be any good and asking myself if I should get the TDK 2.0. Then I came across this video. Thanks for the video Ben, its really food for thought for HT TDK Trilogy collectors. I'm also done with collecting TDK trilogy figures. I think I've made up my mind now to stay with my initial choice. Hopefully the TDKR head sculpt will end up being good when it leaves the factory. Subscribed.

How much was the NRD for the 'rises' armory? Personally I prefer the acrylic design but I'm currently on the waiting list for that version. In other words, It seems like no one's canceled that order to get the TDK version.

Yeah this is coming home may pick up TDKR version down the line as well. I would have liked a new Alfred

Great video Ben! I know this isn’t great for the people who bought the 2.0 and that’s definitely not good. For me being a new collector it gives me a chance to buy this since I missed out on the 1st and 2nd version. For me if I was an original collector I and got the 1st set I would be happy with that version since it came with Alfred and I think that is a great figure to have. For a die hardcore fan like me I’ll make room for both of them. Each have their significance for the story. This one if when he decided to turn himself in and Alfred try to convince him otherwise. The second one from dark knight rises is quite the opposite. Bruce try to get back in the game, the armoury rises from the cave,Bruce is banged up from all his fighting wearing a knee pads. Alfred tries to convince him to hang the cape forever.

This looks awesome, really want it but I have the DX19 and cat women. hmmmm

7:41 I checked my DX19, especially the cowl and mouth plates (as DX19 is one of only THREE HT figures I own), and the mouth plate shape is CLOSER on DX19 than I’m seeing on the 2.0 Armory Batman or MMS702… Feel free to correct me if I’m wrong though.

Its odd the troopers (black & white) w/DS environment, Imperial Commando (BB), Obi Wan (Mandalorian armor), etc were just announced but are already out. The timing of announcements/releasing BM DX19, DKR armory, DK armory 2.0, etc seems odd too. These actions were probably planned at least yr or two ago. HT must anticipate how will collectors will respond. Most businesses make decisions in order to make a max profit. The current state of global economy makes those decisions harder. I'm sure on the business side (capital, logistics, etc) of HT there are things going on that we are not aware of. W/that being said its hard to know mindset of HT. Enjoyed your video. Is there really a difference between the dark knight and the dark knight rises bat suit?? Not bruce i get that. But bat suit itself between the 2. And we need a 2.0 batman begins

already soldoff dx19 last year. miss the armory 1.0 so this is kinda a W for me~ So might preorder
