You asked, I delivered... Here are the WORST figures I have. And of course, all in good fun everyone :) If you haven't already, check me out with these these figures and more on my Instagram page! / keco.collects
Great video brother!! Always nice to keep it fun and interesting! I have a few figures myself that I wonder why I got them, but I loved the hunt! Keep up the great work!!!
Great honest video as always, thank you! If anyone thinks you're spoiled speaking, they must remember - you work hard for what you have so at these collectibles prices, I think they should deliver and as you found out, they sometimes really do not. If you haven't already, I would love to see your top 10 I WILL NEVER SELL NO MATTER WHAT figures. I have slowed down collecting big-time as I want to part with several of mine. I think I have about 200 and they're starting to be a lot of room fillers. I love quite a few but I want my room back. Anyway, thanks for a great video. You're great at what you do.
Just started collecting and started with Jango and Grievous. My heart sank when you said Grievous on here. But yeah I was kind of disappointed with how stiff he was and how hard he was to pose. And his fucking toe popped off. Then again I hurt my Jango in 3 places so maybe I'm just a brute
Thank you for pointing out the Incinerator Trooper. The Black Series 6 inch flame effect looks massive for the scale. Hot Toys 12 inch scale looks like a spark. The price tag doesn’t justify the red paint trim… Which is a shame, because it’s a cool character in one of the best Mandalorian scenes.
This was a very entertaining and funny video. I can’t believe you own that many 3rd parties. 🤢🤮 Hey, Tony suit isn’t the only suit release they had. There’s still a lame Hulk in a suit available on sideshow that will never sell out. Lol! Keco, you need to add more content on a regular bro.
Interesting video. On the whole I am happy with my collection, small as it is. The only regret I have is the Bane figure. It looked better in the pictures to be honest and the fake leather coat has next to disintegrated. The corners of my mouth turn downwards whenever I look at it. So I am looking forward to the upcoming new figure when it eventually becomes available. I never buy these cross-hybrid style figure like venomized groot or zombie ironman etc, I steer clear of them. However, I don't think that I will ever sell any of my figures - I grow attached to things for some reason.
Sigh of relief that I didn't have any figures on your list lol ... But I have parted with a few recently... (Deathwatch Mando for example) FOMO gets the better of us all from time to time.
Interesting. As I am also interested in historic figures, I bought myself a knight figure dressed in a Gothic plate armour. Little did I know that he cannot even stand on his own on his stand. So all he can do is lie flat on his back. I even cannot get rid of him, as my German forum buddies already know him and how superheavy he is (diecast armour). In the future, I may try to do a 3d-scan of his armour and print it in PETG. It sure looks nice enough, although the gold plating has already started to come off. What also turned out to be a bad buy in the end is a RAH 501st Clone Trooper. After a little bit of playing, one of his arms and his leg were just dangling, and he was held together by his bodysuit. After undressing him, it turned out that the hard plastic of his body was crumbling, and that his shoulder joints were already partly glued in an attempt by his former owner to hold him together. As this body is smaller than standard, I will print the poor boy a new one. Otherwise, my Sideshow Clone bois are a bit of a PITA. But just their bodies, and I can work on that. The accessories are simply outstanding, and I prefer their headsculpts to the current Hot Toys Clone Trooper headsculpts.
I thought the Hot Toys Superman Returns figure was horrible. I had to wait a few years later and buy a custom 1/6 figure which was ten times better. Just my two cents
My worst figure gotta be Asmus Toys Tauriel from The Hobbit . Don’t get me wrong , I love their TH/LOTR dolls ,at least the other ones I have from them ( Revised headsvulpt Gandalf The Grey,Thranduil,Galadriel ,Legolas, Arwen and Elrond ). And I don’t even mind the half-sculpted half rooted hair for those that have it that much. But that Tauriel headsculpt mold is obviously defective . And I knew it … I still paid 3,4x the original price to buy the figure second hand as it’s long discontinued ,as it’s the only option for 1/6 figure of Tauriel ( I don’t want a statue ) . Thankfully ,however I ( received it today actually) bought a Hot Toys Wasp headsculpt ( again Evangeline Lily in the role ) , so I swapped the heads ,and now it looks more like Tauriel 😂. Thankfully she has a hood so I can hide the different hair style and lack of elven ears . I was thinking to commission a custom headsculpt ,but when they told me the price …decided a stock Wasp head will do 😅.
I guess Hot Toys are just not for me because I always feel a tinge of disappointment when I receive them, even if the figure looks fantastic, like the Endgame Black Widow, or the DX12 Batman. There is always something that makes me think ‘hmmm, why did I pay so much for a figure that can not stand in dynamic poses. Sure, it looks nice but a statue would’ve been better probably’. On the other hand, I love my Marty McFly 2.0 figure despite the headsculpt not being that great and I still plan on buying Doc to finish the duo, even though his sculpt is pretty awful. But I probably won’t buy other Hot Toys after that though and just admire them by watching videos.
I only got 1 regret of buying the exclusive toy fair spiderman 2099 because you cant pose it but i will keep it😅no more ps4 line for me only movie accurate
I can't really say I have a piece in my collection that I hate and can't wait to get rid of. I only have a select few (13 for now), and really like the look of almost all of them, save for the Sideshow Silver Age Superman. They just can't seem to get Supes' head right. They nailed just about everything else: the costume, the accessories (Starro is awesome), but the face is too chiseled in my opinion. When the light catches it right, it looks almost emaciated. It should be filled out more. I don't hate it, but it bugs me. I'm not sure what they were going for. But still it's better than the modern Superman 1/6 scale they came out with that had multiple heads. I wish they came out with a John Byrne Superman with a HUGE chest logo and the traditional Byrne jaw. For me, it's the look more than the flexibility. Some figures I don't need to have them look like they're flying or leaping. I prefer them in a standard "museum" stance: limited but still life-like.
5:54 - I sold my Spider-Man. Very disappointed with the body choice. Also these tentacles....they look from away not so bad ,but from a close distance the cheap plastic looks really bad. Also the costume is not from stretch fabric material, but instead of that from some gummy material. And again the price here in Europe was around 300€ which is too much for such a figure. Personal opinion of course
Beast Kingdom dynamic 8 action heroes buzz lightyear and woody figures Both have broken and BOTH Buzz Lightyears have broken in the same way his wrist joint on his right hand has snapped off The plastic is so brittle that the wrist joint SNAPPED OFF I am not happy, I’ve seen various people on RU-vid saying that it’s the best buzz lightyear figure ever made and they I have to say are talking out there arses Both the woody and buzz figures are absolute crap Also As much as I love them and if it wasn’t for this reason they would be the best figures not just Toy Story But figures in my collection The paint has chipped on BOTH Buzz Lightyear Bandai spirits soul of Chogokin die-cast metal action figures, and the second ones left wing hinge has become incredibly loose, I think a bit of Resin has actually chipped off as well as the paint in some areas is chipping Also The paint chips off on Herocross H.M.F action figures again metal die cast, I have bought 3 in total Herocross H.M.F emperor Zurg figures the third and final one is the metallic version which the paint work seems to be holding up much better! The first Zurg literally broke into pieces as soon as I took him out of packaging and the paint chipped almost immediately, the second Zurgs paint has chipped slightly In my opinion these issues should not be occurring Especially for such expensive figures All of these figures are £80 to nearly £400 The Chogokin were extremely expensive the first one being £325 and the second nearly £400 Herocross Bandai spirits soul of Chogokin Beast Kingdom
It's really your fault on these, they all looked like dumpster fires to me and I avoided all with exception of Ragnarok Stan because I got him for cheap but still sold him and got astronaut Stan.
Keco you can't just put Stan Lee on this list because he reminds you of that time your barber killed you and turned you into a pie but you survived. But I agree with that Darth Maul for sure, super lazy choice of body for that figure! I massively hope the InArt Daenerys is not half sculpted too lol.🤞
