In the film you can see his long fingers when he shoots the electric at Yoda for the first time. So hot toys doing this on the piece is actually spot on and not an error on their part.
Justin, this figure is a genuine absurd! Absolutely AWESOME!! I think this headsculpt could be in a Top 5 of all time. And the rest as well: it's so well done that the "3 annoying things" had to be about secondary aspects, like the pegs of the holograms. Definitily coming to my collection. Btw: LOVED the post-credits scene! HAHAHAHAHAHA
This will be a fine adittion to my collection. Cant wait to have him aside obi wan and anakin to recreat the first battle from revenge of the sith. Such a nice head sculpt
I love this figure so much, still one of my favourites in my collection! I would love for them to bring out a revenge of the sith one with movable eyes.
The big hands are actually because Christopher Lee's hands were reportedly massive. I know a guy that got to handle the actual screen used Count Dooku lightsaber hilt. He remarked that the thing was suprisingly huge and that Lee's hands must have been proportionately big.
Darth Tyranus was the high point of Ep.2 , he fought effortlessly, probably because he was YODA’s padawan at one time. The power of force lightening was something I didn’t see coming in that movie, which made me really think not too highly of palpatine. His lightsaber skills were far superior to anything palpatine or windu could do in those movies. At least he was eliminated by the greatest Jedi in the SW universe, unlike the extremely laughable poorly choreographed death of Maul by Kenobi. Christopher Lee a cinema legend , what a great casting for a SW movie. Definitely a must buy!
Once again a brilliant review highlighting hot toys outstanding detail. that head sculpt looks so realistic and is probably hot toys best star wars figure to date.
Hmmm.. I don’t really collect figures from the first trilogy.. But on the other hand, I like evil looking, sinister characters with great headsculpts.. This one must be said to qualify in that category! Thanks for another great review of a new figure release👍
The shoe soles are nothing to be annoyed about, they are film-accurate. Standard English riding boots have exactly these leather soles. I know it, I have worn them for decades.
Just for accuracy's sake in display, the white part of the swoosh lighstaber blade piece would on the bottom, with the color part following behind. Love your videos! Keep up the great work!
I always thought he wore a different cape in episode 3. But after close examination, it's the same. He just has the sides folded to the back of his shoulders when fighting.
I've been looking forward to this Count Dooku! Finally Tyranus is getting back in Star Wars Franchise since the EA Battlefront II. Hasbro and Lego please do a Count Dooku figure.
nice review man ... wish Star Ace had made a better Chris Lee sculpt like Hot Toys, for their (Hammer) Dracula. While i was watching this, i was wondering if i bring it to a custom artist, could they succeed in removing the whiskers .. repainting him younger is doable.
Great review i wonder tho if the saber is a more stainless steel than chrome in the film , people drag this film through The mud but i actually liked it and people say they hated it so many cool scenes in it !
@@JustinsCollection So far only the emperor normal edition and darth vader empires strikes back edition... Kinda want to have all villains first !! And thanks a lot for your answer !
Great Review Justin, I'm wondering about his belt, is there any wear on it since its quite a thin piece of pleather, I've known previous figures like the bd terminator to have its belt completely disintegrate, is that the case with this figure?
I don’t think you can fault Hot Toys on this one. I have this figure now and it seems to me that they were shooting for a more idealized version of Lee’s appearance. His face in the movies is clearly more rounded and he shows his age - but even at a distance, the head sculpt is undeniably Christopher Lee and looks striking. I wish that the cloak could be more easily swept back over his shoulders, since that’s how he wears it in the lightsaber duels...but that would be asking a lot. This figure is essentially the ultimate Dooku figure.
