I love the way you point out the material, a certain part of an Armor is made of. That, to me, is essential. It's quite UNIQUE to your format. Please do keep it up. It helps me out a lot, watching your reviews before I pick up the figure. Thank you!
optibotimus, I really enjoyed this video review. It's very evident that you are working with some new tech and new software and it definitely shows off in the videos. When the first zoom circle came on the screen I was very impressed. I do think that it needs a little refining, mainly that I feel some of the crisp details are lost when you use that circle zoom feature and I did notice that there was a bit of a dark shadow surrounding the inner part of the circle which took away a bit from the review, however knowing you and your efforts for always improving your process I know you'll work on these features and perfect them with each new review. And again I truly appreciate the work and dedication you put into these reviews. In my opinion you produce the best quality toy reviews on youtube and I'm always impressed by your work. I wish I could show you my support by supporting you on patreon but I currently don't have the means of doing so, but please know that when I do, I will support you so you can keep doing what you love and giving us content to enjoy. Great work as always!
+transcamaro10 No need to apologize whatsoever. I understand fully that not everyone can do it which is why i'm not punishing anyone for not being able to by withholding content from them and giving it only to Patrons. I appreciate you watching and i'm glad you like the new zoom feature. Unfortunately that is as crisp as it will be because it's being zoomed in after the fact in post production. Thanks to the high quality and resolution of the video already, it's not as bad as it could be. If i'm going to zoom in and focus more on something, i'll do that still during the actual recording process. The spot zoom is more of an after thought kind of thing. I'll look into that shadowing you talked about and see what i can do about that.
+optibotimus And again that is why I consider you to be the best reviewer here on youtube. You don't do this for your own gain, you do it for us and to produce the best quality videos and that certainly means a lot to us viewers. I understand that I am not obligated to donate to your patreon but I love the work you do and so when I do have the means of doing so, I want to give you that support in monetary form. And as far as the zoom feature goes I think it was implemented quite well. When I first made the comment about some of the crispness being lost I already kind of knew that it was due to the resolution of the camera and there was no way of minimizing that effect. The details are still there and I'm sure from your standards you like using that zoom feature more than physically zooming in on your camera and refocusing each time you want to show off more intricate details of a figure. Ultimately I enjoy what you're doing and I continue to look forward to what you do and how you'll improve your process.
great improvements with the video, the zooming to show the smaller pieces was a really good idea, just a subtle change that greatly improves the review in my opinion
Love the color scheme on this figure. Just saw they were still available on Sideshow and figured I'd check out some reviews. When I get a few more rewards point available I'll be ordering one for sure.
I understand that you're mainly a robot kind of guy but would you consider taking a look at some of the newer clones from Sideshow? It's just that I've seen some reviews of the new ARC Troopers but they're mainly from smaller channels and I'd like to get an opinion from a reviewer I trust. I love the one that I got to pieces and I probably always will, it'd just be nice to see someone who REALLY knows what he's doing.
Just got this during Sideshows black Friday deals with $100 dollars off nd free shipping. love the color on this figure. Not really in to collecting Iron Man but couldn't ignore that deal.
Yooo, that bubble magnification pop up @ 5:37 was neat-o, Paul. Do more of that stuff in future videos, haven't seen many reviewers do that, if at all. nice touch.
+Hoss THank you :) It honestly was an after thought. While editing i was like "shit, i shoulda zoomed in on that". But then i was like oooooo my editing program has that and my new computer should be able to handle that render! So i tried it and it turned out decent. It's not as clear as i would like because it's more of a digital zoom i suppose and it loses some resolution. But with the high resolution i already start with, it worked out okay for a couple quick second shots :) Glad you like it, i'll try using it more as needs be :)
great review, very detailed. Fantastic looking figure. I agree HT should of added a battle damage chest armor. still a must have for my collection. Thx for sharing.
They didn't include the battle damaged chest piece because it wouldn't match the rest of the body. There's no damage whatsoever, scratches, scuffs, buffs, etc. it's supposed to be brand spanking new.
After the Mark II unleashed, I'll never understand what it is the HT to not have the fists and the bottom of the feet with the same repulsar glass look of the open palm and articulated hand, I mean the parts and molds are in place (and appear to be the same in every figure), they just have to cut it in. Especially having the inside of all the fists be same color circle always struck me as incomplete. Its not even painted (unlike the Figuarts, Figma and Mafex). Also to go the extra mile in so many areas and not in the hands (which are nearly the same in every figure too), I don't get it...
I agree with Danoby 2. The problem is that for a "die-cast brand new figure" is not worth the price. Almost no die-cast and lack of articulation don't justify how much this figure cost.
+jorgedontola092 I think we're forgetting that the price of this figure also has the "exclusive" stamp on it. As a summer exclusive, it's going to be more expensive. That makes up a part of the cost as well
***** Excuse me, I mean it for the regular version of the MK3 wich is the one Danoby2 reviewed. I completely agree with you on the price of the exclusives.
jorgedontola092 Well if i'm not mistaken, the regular version does come with more stuff, like a Tony Stark portrait for example. I'm not saying Danoby is wrong. I agree and said so in this video that this figure isn't as good as the more recent ones we've gotten. I think there is enough die cast in this that i don't mind it. The heft of the figure feels fine to me. The articulation does suffer but i think it's kind of a wash price wise. They could have put the articulation in the waist and it would have still cost the same. Designing it the way they did with the extra piece and having things separate, also probably would have made the cost the same. So i think it was just a decision on design choice. We can second guess that all day long, but ultimately, i think the cost would have been the same either way they went
Very different video organization. you should've reviewed the figure before making comparisons with the original mark III, you could have made your final conclusion at the end instead of doing it in the middle of the video.
Hey Optibotimus 1st hi my name is Anthony i'm 19 yers old i'm using my dad's google account. 2nd i'm a huge fan of you and your channel. 3rd what do you do with your old transformers?
+ducy84 I noticed that while i was talking about the hands and such, i didn't zoom in like i should have. I looked through the options in my editing program and found the spot zoom option. Tried it and it worked rather well. Luckily with such high resolution in my camera, the zoom effect, after the fact, looked decent still. At least for the few seconds it was on screen. Glad you like it :)
+Victor K The ''stealth'' isn't meant for not being visible by the naked eye, it's for avoiding radar systems. While the colours are a bit wild, planes use the same paint technology.
