A solid re-do. But I have the 1.0 die-cast, and I don't see enough reason to upgrade. The first die-cast version has the in-helmet headsculpt, which I like.
The only thing about this piece that was quite the Miss is they should have put LED lights in the killmonger helmet instead of giving the illusion that is light up a USB power base would have been better
Love this figure, I really like the mechanical look and feel to the figure compared to the nano tech style suits. The base is ok it feels a little too plastic to me and it was a pain to fit together correctly but it’s a good diorama in general. The add on pieces for battle damage are great and the head sculpt is pretty good. It’s a shame that the shoulder rockets are painted incorrectly so they look like they fire backwards, this is a common issue with the figure which HT deny, and it’s the same with your copy do I think it’s a universal QC issue. Love all the details around the flaps in the back and the calf’s. The other disappointing thing for me is that they didn’t use magnets for the chest plate, and used plastic pegs which could break with continually swapping out. Really looking forward to the Mark VI now.

Great review! I don't have a single Iron Man but this one is the first real one for me. Have to decide between this and the Battle Damaged MK85. I know PopCultcha has the MK85 BD for €290 shipped&tax incl so I might have to pull the trigger on that one of these days. I just need an Iron Man representation. You got this from Ironmonger Rock Toys. Don't really care about Iron Man but I love fantastic figures, and this is a fantastic figure lol. I think the sculpt looks supery dupery but I haven't seen the movie lol. Hot Toys can really do amazing things when they are not being lazy 💤💤💤
@@OneSixthFigureFocus I can’t seem to get mine to fit.. I even pressed hard carefully but nothing. It just doesn’t go thru.. any recommendations? Suck that I paid so much for this and to have this problem it’s just unacceptable
It took me ages. Lots of time pushing the top part down. One end would push and squeak down and the other would raise up. The mould is a little off but it is doable and it eventually gets all the way down
@@OneSixthFigureFocus we shouldn’t be in this dilema paying a hefty price tag for a premium figure. You think it’s still worth the price without the base. Because I can’t find a way to get it thru without damaging the base
