Great review, Kool Kollectibles. I'm hoping that Hot Toys will release other torso parts for the figure down the line. That way, Iron Man can be put in more dynamic poses!
l love this armor but you favourite is the Mark 7, and then now to add to that the Mark 45 my two favourite armors. It's great that they are going back to make the suits die-cast! Great review! what I love about this armor is the face plate has no extra lines on it like the newer versions.
+Impossible Pie For me, the simple clean look of the Mk3 is what appeals to me most. Would be great to see the original first few marks all in die cast versions. Thanks again for watching!
Yeah true but you can still see some of the repulsor and it looks amazing on some of the quarter scale or even life size statues as it adds a little more illumination to the figure in dark environments. Just a thought 😉
+Don Mccutcheon Probably a good idea for this Mk3 since they must've changed something with the way in which batteries are inserted. Mine were pretty easy to insert but other earlier figures were a pain in the arse apparently. I normally hate electronic features, and it's something I normally just check to see if they work, and then never use again. Battery corrosion is scary!
Congratulations, dude! The mark 3 looks pretty awesome, and not too different from the mark 4, which I have :) Im not sure if Im that impressed with the diecast on the 1/6 figures though :P I only have the Robocop that has diecast, and I must say I was kind of a bit disappointed when considering the price on it :P Not to sure if it was really worth it to be honest :P But hey! Personal preferances and all thats :D It would be cool if they did the same with the waste on the mark 3 as they did with the mark 4 though. That one you can extend a bit to allow for more articulation. By the way! That plastic piece you didn't know what was, thats for popping off panels and such :) Im not sure if my mark 4 came with one, but I've seen other IM figures come with it, and thats what its used for :) Great review, buddy :)
+eSeReS I'm not too disappointed with the amount of diecast. I prefer figures that have diecast designed into strategic places rather than diecast for the sake of diecast. Overall I still think this is an amazing figure! Thanks again for watching :)
I think the movie's colour timing had a darker shade of red. Some scenes showed pretty bright red too I think. I actually prefer this brighter red that makes it really stand out on display.
Cool figure bro. Q:? What's the point of gettng the figure if you are afraid to move the toy around and/or connect the parts? No disrespect I'm just curious how someone can think these are so weak. I tell u broS, i been collecting 23 adult years & i never fear moving toys around bc it's super rare when something scratch from moving joints. Especially if it's designed to do that typea pose. Just use common sense. That said batteries hav NEVER leaked for me & i collect thousands of toys (see my YT channel). Im tellin ya in my experience I've had battery's in my toys for 20 years +, with NO leaks and most of them still work too! Hope this alleviates some of your concern. Oh yea brother I almost forgot the box art represents the beginning and end credits of the 1st movie (2008) when everything was in schematic form, just like you see on the box.😉 Anyways nice review still, def worth watching. So you know not trying to hate. Plus its SUCH a beautiful figure! And also the MK III is my favorite too. 😆 Ihave Mark XLIII (still sealed in the mailer pckg) & as we speak, the MK. VI diecast is on its way now to me. I'm thinking of getting this MK.III too and I'm definitely getting the mark 4 with gantry in early 2019.
There have been many pics of damage caused by articulation, from paint rub to loosened joints, to damaged costumes. For this one, I'm displaying with my other Avengers figures that are mostly in static museum type poses, so no need to dynamic poses for me on this one.
Just got the diecast MK IV it's insanely gorgeous, beautiful figure, it blows the plastic MK IV out of the water.... I'm thinking about getting the new Quarter Scale MK III, looks like it's going to be an extremely awesome piece
Honestly I'm not a fan of the armor itself, why? Because I am more used to the 90s cartoon/marvel vs capcom armor design and yeah I'm not a fan of this armor... it did grew on me tho but I still like the 90s cartoon/marvel vs capcom armor a lot more then this armor.
To me, the MK III armor reminds me the most of the comics and cartoons out of all the MCU armor's, the MK III (IMO) is the closest rendition to the Iron Man we all know and love, They did a great job taking the comics and cartoon look of Iron Man and bring it to life with practicality and functionality
