I'm here in 2022, I bought this from a shop at a mall, and mine has the same issue with the left arm. I'm gonna try this (and hopefully not break it further), thank you for posting this!
No problem yes they are all broke from the factory or will break within a few hours of owning them. You'll be fine just take it slow and its not a hard job to do.
thanks for referencing my mod on ssf! (wellcqcaboutthat) i just had another member send me this asking if what im going to do to his arms is what youre doing. ive found if you cut more than one spot on the outer cog ring you lose snappiness in the ratcheting. i only cut 1 spot now and imho its perfect and ive done many. have a nice day man! great video as well.

Is there just a normal arm I can buy that is this familiar size? My left arm broke and it seems like a easy fix. Well not super easy but simple in a way, but at the same time I don't wanna go through that stress if the arm breaking worse. So do you have any clue if there's a better arm out there to buy?
As far as I know they are all like it due to the design of the plastics in the arms. However there may be a very few of them that haven't broken due to just being posed in a museum type pose with the arms down and straight. But I'd put money on them all going in time I would think. You may be lucky though and get away with it. Who knows.
No none to be fair but I diddnt pose the hell out of it afterwards but he could hold a pose real easy as apposed to being broke out the box from new. No arms bullet proof I don't spose but it made my 2 a lot better or new again should I say. Ive sold them both few years back now as got rid of half the collection. If not over that. But if your arms are the same its worth having a go just be carful of those shoulder armour peices as you take them off. Appart from that its quite straightforward.
Out of curiosity would it be possible to put another arm on it from another 1/6 figure or is it a unique size? The fact that it can't even swivel At the bicep is annoying.
SupaidaMan that's somthing I've thought about to it is a weird size the way it fits in the rubber sleeve to hide it's a normal arm. However I have thought about mabe using mabe some sort of iron man type arm. It's just trial and error at the moment. By the way it does swivel at the bicep I've figured out how to do that check out the part 2 of this vid!
Awesome insight. This just put me off purchasing this figure. Honestly i feel none of these figures are worth the high tickets we're paying. The quality is shit due to the action figure market being broken.
