I ordered the Sam Wilson Captain America figure from this same series. It looks, at least the demo picture, absolutely perfect. The attention to detail in the suit and wings are incredible. I hope you review it soon!

What I like about this suit design, is that while it is a Winter Soldier uniform, it has elements of Bucky's pre-Winter Soldier outfit with the blue and red bits and it closing from the side, just something pretty cool

The "shield" design on the front and base is actually the Winter Soldier star in yellow and black, it's Bucky's symbol. The figure looks good though, I don't have as much of an eye for proportions so that doesn't bother me, and the face sculpt looks great to me. Can't wait to get mine. 👍

When it comes to headscuplts, I don't pay any attention to the HT community. They are the absolute worst and over dramatic bunch of whiners in all of collecting when it comes to head sculpts. I've seen countless pieces that look pretty amazing that some collector or RU-vidr is calling awful. This looks like the Sabastian Stan of NOW and he has thinned out quite a bit. I noticed it on the show that he wasn't as muscular as he was for TWS or even CW. Especially his neck , which if you watched the Falcon and Winter Soldier show, is accurate to his current look. Great Review Justin as always... I'm picking this up.

I couldn’t agree more my man. I love collecting Hot Toys, and there are many great aspects and people within the community, but you’re absolutely right about the excessive and over dramatic whining. You’ve got people on Hot Toys’ Facebook and Instagram pages posting comments like, “Who tf is that?” or “Is that supposed to be Sebastian Stan?” I mean good god. You show this to anyone who doesn’t collect Hot Toys and I’m almost certain they’ll think it looks just like him. A lot of people in this community love to complain and it can get a little irritating sometimes. HT obviously isn’t without their faults of course, and constructive criticism is never a bad thing. That’s what’ll allow them to step back and make sure their products are better. Even if people aren’t satisfied with the final product at the end of the day, that’s okay. Just give some constructive criticism and move on. No need to completely trash something that isn’t even close as bad as some make it out to be. However, even still, I’d say 9/10 times HT does exceptional work, and some collectors act like a product that isn’t completely perfect from HT is utter and disgraceful trash. Just never in my life have I seen a community so reactionary based off of products that they don’t even have in hand yet. I have Bucky pre-ordered and I’ll be very glad to have him.

Thanks Justin great review I ordered it earlier today. My only real worry is the pleather jacket. I just watched the first 2 episodes of the show and looking at Bucky I think the figure is spot on he is definitely thinner in the series and if you look closely at Sebastian Stan his left shoulder looks a lot smaller than his right shoulder that has his vibranium arm. I think he thinned out so much because he was filming as Tommy Lee.

Good review Justin. Whist price is subjective, these are supposed to be premium figures, and I don’t think they should take any modifying - rather Hot Toys should be spending the time ensuring a quality product.

The proportions have issues as you say, the most noticeable is that neck, lol, but Sebastian Stan really did lost a lot of the muscle mass plus weight from the CA Civil War / CA Winter Soldier era, he didn't buff nor was asked to use padding for visual continuum, it was quite noticeable but that was his and the production choice.

Honestly, I think the blogger photos do more harm than good at times. So many of them don’t present the sculpt in the best light (literally) and then everyone is so quick to trash the figure without seeing it in hand.

i dont think real leather can be skive as thin as pleather ? or maybe it can, but you need to reinforce the backing with thin layer of glue coated fabric for holding it all together i guess. any leather master can confirm or deny my theory ?
