Personally, I like to keep my skin smooth and hair-free during the warmer months, and after trying various methods, I've found waxing to be the best. Not only does it remove the smallest hairs, but it also thins out hair growth and exfoliates dead skin, leaving my skin feeling silky smooth. So, get ready to embrace summer in style and feel confident in your skin with a little waxing!
Today, I'll be comparing two popular waxing methods: hot wax and cold wax. To determine which method is better and more convenient for at-home hair removal, I haven't waxed my hands for this video. So, if you're curious about which method is the best for removing body hair, stick around until the end. Let's jump right in!
For my left hand, I'll use Veet Cold Wax Strips, while for my right hand, I'll use our traditional hot wax method. Let's begin with Veet Cold Wax Strips.
Veet Cold Wax Strips are a hassle-free solution for achieving smooth skin without worrying about the mess or risk of burns associated with hot wax. Unlike traditional hot wax, these strips are gentle on delicate skin and eliminate the possibility of wax burns. The packet includes instructions, but I can demonstrate proper usage for optimal results. Veet Cold Wax Strips contain cool gel wax, so you don't even have to warm them up. It's easier to remove the hair from the root when the cool gel wax sticks to the hair and not your skin. Make sure you do a patch test and read the directions carefully before using this wonderful product.
These are the steps you need to follow in order to use Veet Cold Wax Strips:
1. Peel apart the strips
2. Apply and rub the strip on your skin
3. Pull close to the skin in the opposite direction of hair growth
4. Clean any wax residue with Veet perfect finish wipe
I don't need to wax my hair for 28 days after using this product because it leaves my skin feeling smooth and great.
Now, it's time to wax my right hand with the traditional hot wax. To wax your right hand using the traditional hot wax method, you'll need a wax heating machine and some wax beans. In order to apply hot wax to your hands, you'll need wax strips and a spatula or blunt knife.
Firstly, heat the wax beans in a heating machine. Don't overheat them, otherwise they may cause burns. Afterward, apply the wax to your hand using a spatula or blunt knife. Once you have placed the wax strip over the targeted area, pull it off and then remove the hair from your hand.
I was able to remove unwanted hair from my hands with the hot wax, but the process was painful, messy, and time consuming, and it left some red patches on my hands. In contrast, Veet Cold Wax Strips did not cause any burns, removed all the hair from my hand quickly, and were super convenient.
