Wonderful build for a wonderful guy! I'm certain that will be a fantastic addition to his collection. Also, thank goodness for the vacuum forming machine lol
Thanks, Jim. The vacuum forming machine has been dormant for a while. I fired it up recently and did several windshields in one shot. It's always nice to go clear! 🍁☕️😀
Thanks, Lars. Just got home from another road trip. Got a few days on the bench before leaving again on Wednesday. I'll do my best to get at your KITT project. So sorry for taking this long! 🍁☕️👍👊
Incredible!!! Your details blow me away. Before you said it wasn’t a taxi I had imagined Jim from the television show “Taxi” speeding down the streets in New York City. Fantastic build!!
Cool build Andrew, I thought you were creating the taxi Ernest Borgnine drove in escape from New York until I remembered that was a checker cab . Have a great week
Verry cool ! I love the weathering! Finally the vakuumformwr has work again. Mine is also on the point to be reused. I hope i don‘t melt the windshield 😅 but i got a good instruction manuel 😉👍 Thanks for that!
Just got home an hour ago, Yves. Two days in France after Luxembourg. Great to see you on this road trip. And yes, the vacuum forming machine comes out for use now and then. This windshield turned out very nicely, and is better than a pink one! 🍁☕️👍👊✌️
Spectacularly good, Andrew........ and you make it look so easy. Really nice weathering 👍🏻🇨🇦👌🏻🇬🇧👏🏻🇨🇭 Just wondering if it might be easier to trim the new vacform screen with the original still inside......... 🤔
I've actually done that before, Jack. In some cases, when the vacuum formed screen isn't a perfect fit, a little bit extra around the edges is what's needed to glue it down securely. But you're right, it's a sensible idea! 🍁☕️👍👊✌️
Excellent as always, I love the Triassic theme, but you have far surpassed it. Fabrication, weathering and detailing work, a real treat for a Sunday morning. You are both inspirational and aspirational, I have a Chevy about half complete on my little table, going a little different direction, but I hope it turns out 1/4 as well as yours. Thanks as always for the video!
Thank you very much, Brian! I'm sure yours will turn out wonderfully well. It's a popular casting with so much scope for creativity. Have fun with it. 🍁☕️👍
nice. :) all the parts that rusted away surely will help with acceleration. XD recently they seem to have released a series of this casting with light smoke-tinted glass. I think it has a yellow painted body. :)
@@MapleLeafCustoms me, too. it's hard enough to justify those dark-tinted glasses what won't let you see the interior (the designer must be pretty depressed by now, all the designwork and mouldshaping for the drain), or the neon-yellow glasses Siku used to abuse. :P
Thanks for watching. I haven't made a 'how to' weathering video, but many of my projects feature different techniques. The one you mention that you like is a rust decal that I made. 🍁☕️👍
Hi Andrew!!!🎉 you miss me, sorry I haven’t been commenting on videos I’m close to graduation is on May 23.Crazy things happened. To me I can’t wait to have more time on the hobby bench can’t wait to see what you do my cat go to my Belair when I wasn’t . looking . But I kept it in good condition for as long as I could if we swap cars again I’ll probably need a protective case for mine.
Hi Aidan. Great to see you in the comments section again. Thanks for the update. Early congrats on your graduation. That's a milestone. Big things ahead! 🍁☕️🎓👍
You’re welcome you should see more of me in the comments. As always, can’t wait to see what else we put out there one day maybe will be able to do something cool together.
Thanks, Sean. The vacuum forming machine has been on my bench for a couple of years now. I often try to work the coloured glass into a build theme, but when I can't, time to make a new one! 🍁☕️👍👊🇨🇦
