So, the 2 little things in the back are for cooling the engine. If you’re wondering, Yes-the Corvair is rear engined.

The rear fins are for cooling the rear flat 6cyl aircooled engine. The small cap ahead of the drivers side door is the gas cap - gas in front, engine in back. I cant speak for the scale of the picture but the rear end is longer due to the rear engine.
