A quick video on how I made Hot Wheels cupcake toppers for a 4th birthday.
The toppers were made using a mixture sugarpaste and gum paste.
I always cut the discs first and leave them to harden slightly before the topper is glued on.
For the 'Flames' I didn't have a cutter so I drew it in a paper and used it as a template.
If you have to detail using an edible pen or edible paint let the topper dry/harden a while before doing so.
For the cars I made my own mold using a toy car into a food grade silicon putty (I think that's what its called) they were then painted in black, white and red for lights.
The buttercream is orange and baby blue gel pastes from sugar flair piped with 1M
