It looks like the card art on the Transformers series is based on whether the car in the blister is an Autobot or Decepticon. I agree that the Transformer series cars themselves look cheap - the wheel designs are not great - and I don't know how accurate they are. The JH4 set is superb! Definitely going to buy a complete set of those! Thanks Paul =)
Japan historics 4 will surely be a blast... my top1 would be the corolla levin..love it that it looks to have those japanese fender mirrors..2nd probably would be the fairlady..it just look so mean in black..3rd would be the prince skyline..given that its a fairly new casting but i like it better in black..that chase version is pretty awesome.. The upcoming ttansformers line looks to have new wheels and i totally agree with you that why they choose to put the custom beetle in there..???? bonkers... Thanks for sharin..👍👌

Idk, transformers set looks like it could end up being peg warmers, the bugatti and maybe VW might sell, transformers had autobots that were a lamborghini countach, a porsche 911, a regular VW bug and a new decepticon R33 skyline (aka) nightbird they should have used those castings would have been a home run hot wheels messed up again.
Window sill details don't come out very good when tampoed on. This is why Hot Wheels seldom puts them on their releases. Those have to be hand painted with precision. I know because I hand paint in all my Muscle car window details by hand. It takes time and patients , but worth it if you like your cars with details. I'm still enjoying the last Japan Historics set so I'll be skipping this one. That last '73 Honda Civic Custom is super dull compared to the two great looking mainline versions we got this year. Transformers is a toy and basically falls in the "fantasy" realm. It's not gonna appeal to all collectors. I love it! Hopefully since transformers is universal, we will get the series here as well. I have no issue with the custom Beatle, but it should have been the original opening hatch version instead. Rest of the cars look good and are part of the franchise. Wonder if they will have roof design?
