After getting kicked out of the nudist survivalist camp, Johnny and Smitty drove on four tireless rims until nightfall. They pulled their not-a-car-and-not-a-truck over at a semi-sheltered spot to make camp. With only the meat left on Bobby's left leg to eat (don't ask, long story), the hapless travelers broke out their bottles of whiskey, vodka and rum and binged until they passed out. Still comatose all the next day their naked bodies were dried out by the scorching sun. Fini.

My guess would be that they stole water and some supplies, run away and another group who saw the supplies and wanted them for themselves shot them (hence the bullet holes). They managed to fend the enemies off, but their engine was heavily damaged in the process. They managed to end up hiding on this rocky ridge, waiting for some help while consuming the water and the rest of the supplies. But help never arrived..When hunger really hit them, they probably tried to eat each other (hence the missing leg). And eventually, the remaining survivor was too weak to do anything wich led him to his inevitable death..

I should add to your story one small deatail why they are naked so in the desert it was wery hot and they knew they will die soon so they did not want to suffer frome the heat of sun so they took of their clothes and lived their last minutes untill death also they barried their closthes under the sand that why we dont see them in Diorama

@@brodiewaldrop4784 my guess is from the bullet holes going across the hood it hit somthing important on the engine causing the break down further more , being ambushed , causing them to hit a rock in the canyon , though i further believe they where able to fend off the attackers and well cannibalise them hence the bone on the hood , for their deaths it be a cause of death by my guess a rattle snake or other creature since the truck was not raided after death ,and did not run out of supplies since they are still in the truck

I think the driver crashed the car after an argument of some kind, killing him instantly and somehow causing the other guys leg to break. Then he painfully hobbled around for natural supplies around the crash site for weeks until he succumbed to cannibalism and inevitably died. Weeks later a small crew from there camp were issued a recon mission to find them, only to find the crash site and take there armor. I think I've played too much Fallout.

The End of Days should have been easy for the brothers. They'd been preparing for years for this exact moment. A fast vehicle, beefed up suspension, and enough supplies to last them months on the road. They didn't expect the sandstorms to be so fierce. They didn't expect what was left of the military to be roaming the streets, slaughtering all they came across, forcing the brothers to take backroads and hide often to avoid the buzzing helicopters that spelled doom for any caught in it's sight. The older brother was the first to go. On the run from an APC, he gambled on a sandstorm, fleeing blindly down a beaten road until the tortured machine coughed and rattled to a halt. The older brother died behind the wheel, two bullets lodged in his back. The younger brother hung on for two more months. Food, ammunition, and water ran low. He was forced to cut a chunk of dead meat from his brother, and more, and more. He knew it was hopeless, but his fathers words echoed every time he placed the gun in his mouth. 'Fight until your last, boys. Fight until your last.' He broke his leg hunting for something, anything that wasn't his older brother, to eat. His leg shattered, he crawled back to camp. Shaking the last drops of water onto his tongue, the younger brother sat there, watching as the stars above slowly went black.

I drove a '78 Chevy El Camino as my first car when turning 16. Then later on, I drove a '72 Ford Ranchero. I never used either for hauling much more than my drums and other band member's guitar amps and other equipment and it did just fine. I don't know if I would've liked the Ranchero as a family car, fortunately or unfortunately the car didn't last till I started a family, but MAN, the car was absolutely mean looking and I loved the overall style and stance of it and wished i still had it! I don't have it anymore because I drove it to the southern border of the U.S. to play an annual punkrock/thrash metal festival called "Res-Fest", but on the way was mistaken for a smuggler by the border patrol who decided to shoot first and ask questions later. They ran me off the road and I broke my legs in the process, and well, I didn't survive. This is my ghost writing this story from my computer in hell. Hope you enjoyed the story. Now I've got to be going, I've got another metal fest to play down here, the audience is primarily made up of border patrolers who hate thrash metal and it is part of their punishment to have to stay and listen... FFFOOORRREEEVVVEEERRR!!!👹

The shock of the crash dazed Jim the driver, having cut his head on the already rusted windshield armour, and shattering his leg, weakened do to a stray bullet, his partner having only a few cuts and bruises, crawled out of the passenger window, assessed the situation, and found that the car was totaled and was in no way repairable. Finding Jim was in no way able to move, Carver tried to tend to Jim's injuries yet was unable to do much but stop the bleeding from his head. "Well Jim, looks like I can't move you, and all the loot we took from that caravan we hit seams intact" said Carver. "Well good buddy, looks like this is the end of the dirt road for us" exclaimed Carver as he put his 12 gauge to Jim's head. Days go by and Carver finished the last of his measly rations as he chose to stay due to the rocks and car being great cover for any unknown assailant wanting to take what they stole. Later on the fifth day, only partaking in whisky and some water, Carver notices that his partner Jim as still semi fresh. In a desperate move, Carver stuck his head into the wrecked car and decided to cleave off Jim's whole leg. Carver built a fire using wood a little whiles away, built a fire, and used the hood as a chopping board. After the meal Carver felt a little uneasy. Not due to the consumption of his partner in crime, but due to the meat. Jim in some way got his revenge, Carver took Jim's leg that was infected during the heist suffering a gun shot wound to the very leg Carver ate. Carver sullied over by the cat and took a seat. Downing the last of the stolen whisky, and slept, never to awaken again.

While running from scavengers their engine was shot beyond repair, hiding in the valley they spent weeks trying to fix it, but to no avail. The driver died slowly abd painfully from a bullet wound from before. the other seeing this, and already having lost one leg decided to drink himself , and then use the rifle to take himself out. He wasn't going to wait for someone else to do it to him. Love your videos!! Always the highlight of my week :)

Dave and Jerry had taken a wrong turn and ended up far away from any used roads. Dan's driving was wild and any chance he got, he did donuts and burnouts, so the tires had shredded. Laughing, they drove until the rubber had completely fallen off and the car could go no further. They had already started drinking from their shine stash before all of this, but once the car was stranded, they hit it pretty hard. On day 4 and with only one bottle of shine and a jar of pickles left, Dave and Jerry got in a heated argument. This lead to Jerry whacking Dave while he slept in the front seat of the car. Jerry was now alone. It was mid summer, so it never really cooled off. Desperate to chill himself and extremely drunk on the last bottle, Jer took off his clothes and burned them in the fire. He laughed, coughed and then choked to death on his own vomit. 12 years later the car, with Jerry and Dan's remains, were found by a pilot in a glider. He couldn't find anything useful, so he took off and then used the car for target practice.

First off it’s a awesome diorama. You did a excellent job. I think when they were kicked out of there group they were basically left with nothing. As they were driving away they were hit from lots of gun fire from up in the hills of the desert. The driver was struck and killed and as a result the car was out of control and hit the rocks. When the passenger got out to access the damage a violent sand storm hit. He tried to take cover by getting down on the ground beside the car and covering up with the tarp but the sand was to much to take and it ended up killing him. And that’s the way they were found many months later. The car and the bones sand baked and bleached in the middle of nowhere!

This is a outstanding diorama! You have a great imagination and skill in modeling. There is enough in the diorama to let your thoughts run wild as to what happened and this is what makes a great story for any diorama. I too have used pigments for weathering heavy rust on a model and I learned that if you apply the pigments then clear coat the model and repeat this two or three times you get a deep rusted color. The clear coat seals each layer and as you apply more pigment and clear layers the intensity increases. I hope this helps. Thanks for sharing this tutorial and it was really worth the wait! Great job.

You could probably have done something to the cacti bewtween the rocks, they look all new and shiny and a bit out of place I find. For the clothes, maybe they took off their clothes for some reason and then were ambushed or whatever, so they didn't have any chance to put them back on and then were let to die by their car.

Mark and Gazza (two fitting aussie names) we once part of a great community of wasteland salvagers. A community dedicated to recreating the new world in the image of the old from whatever they could salvage along the blacktop highways; known as ‘The Visionaries’. The pair of wasters were one of the communities best reconnaissance teams, able to survive weeks out in the wasteland in search of viable camps to raid and ruins to salvage. Mark was known for his deadly temper and skill behind the wheel while Gazza was most famous for his unapologetic charisma and intellect which came in handy with the logistics, what loot was valuable and would take preference for their limited space and such. The team had recently returned from a scouting mission and designated a walled tribal community in the eastern quadrant as their target to replenish their food and water reserves slowly dwindling; and so the group prepared an assault team and loaded old utility vehicles as armoured transports and scout cars for good measure, all overseen by Gazza himself, it was all or nothing so the vehicles were fully loaded to capacity for a trip of several days. It was a night like any other when The Visionaries camp was raided and pillaged for everything worth taking: guns, bullets, women and perhaps most importantly the great reserves of gasoline and scrap metal the community had acquired over its many years. The raiding group resembled the tribe of the eastern quadrant, thought to have followed Mark and Gazza’s scouting car back for a preemptive counter raid. Fortunately, both Mark and Gazza we’re able to slip away amidst the chaos in a loaded raid vehicle, an old Ford Ranchero, and as it suffered the punishment of small arms fire; the pair and their vehicle we’re soon home free thanks to Marks skill behind the wheel. The night was long and the headlights shone ominously on the surface of the dusted blacktop. A dispute between the two was raised about the raid. Should they have stayed to defend the camp? No. It was a matter of life or death anybody with a brain should have realised that; as Gazza explained to Mark. Fearing the tribe were once more following them in their escape, the pair took an old canyon pass as the bickering turned into shouting. Then threats. Then physical violence as Mark lost control of the vehicle in a scuffle with Gazza and the Ranchero skidded into the canyon wall killing Gazza in the passenger seat (on the left btw because us aussies drive on the right side) instantly from head trauma. Mark awoke to his deceased friend and decided a burial would have been too great an honour for such a lesser man, that would rather see his community slaughtered than fight with the courage and conviction of a ‘Visionary’. So there Gazza’s corpse sat permanently left to the flies. Removing the tarp over the Rancheros tray securing the supplies, Mark created a makeshift shelter by the Rancheros bumper, incase other Visionaries followed them out; or perhaps hoping to lure scavengers with working cars by baiting the Ranchero and its supplies with Gazza’s dead corpse inside as the perfect cover and then murder the curious prospectors for their working vehicle; as was standard Visionary protocol for scouting units during crises such as this. A week passed, driving Mark near insanity. He had already gone through every last water reserve. Even the celebratory alcohol meant for the success of their supply raid. Food was scarce and he had but only one option. The corpse of Gazza. Removing Gazza’s leg, Mark began work, preparing a fire and makeshift cooking station for the meat from old dry wood; not realising it was already too late and the meat had spoiled beyond a ‘healthy’ consumption period. The human meat took its tool on Mark the next several days, going so far as to resort to using his and Gazza’s cloth parchments as kindling for the rotting meat. After consuming most of Gazza’s lower body, Mark developed a prion that caused involuntary shaking, meaning he could no longer accurately commit suicide with his rifle fearing he may miss and die a painful yet slow death at his own hand. Leaving him to rot away slowly from heat stroke laying next to the Ranchero, the now coffin of his former friend, rifle in hand hoping someone will come. Over the years both Mark and Gazza’s corpses were stripped of flesh from sandstorms and their bones bleached by the beading sun bearing down on the wasteland. Such is the fate of the irrational in the post apocalyptic world.

YES, FINALLY!!!! THIS IS SO FREAKING SICK. I LOVE IT. As for the story: the two were kicked out of camp, they packed up the supplies, which were stolen from the camps food and supply stores. During their grand escape, they rammed through the front gate, causing one of the guards to fall and own his way down unloaded his gun into the front of the car. One of the bullets managed to get through the front shield and struck the driver in the chest. After they were a ways from camp the car stared smoking and the driver went to stop but one of the bullets hit the brake line. Causing the two to slam into the Rocky outcrop, the already injured driver was killed instantly. The other guy was barely harmed. He climbed out of the car and went to scavenge for some wood. Because the desert gets cold at night. While he is out he steps into an old bear trap, snapping his leg almost into. He hobbled back to the camp and set down. Trying to soothe his pain with alcohol. During the night he awoke because he heard a howl. He grabbed his trusty shotgun and "stood" his ground. He got one of the animals but was quickly dispatched by the rest of the pack. They devoured what they wanted and hit the road. A few day later some scouts from the camp found the vehicle and reported back to the leader of the camp, who just so happens to make mini dioramas. And so this diorama is born. THE END....

Jared was driving to Zion, a refugee camp that offered safety, shelter, and relative peace. The journey started well. He got a good start. Nobody tailing him. Only had 186 miles to go when he hit a set of spike strips. They mangled his tires, but before anyone found him, he kept going. 64 miles later, the rubber was gone, but took gas mileage with it. Eventually, the fuel ran down and the engine ceased. He pondered walking, but it wasn't an option. It was 112° outside. He survived for 5 weeks before the snake bit him. He tied his leg off & tried to amputate, but died from blood loss and shock. The flies, maggots, a fox, and some other creepy-crawleys picked the bones clean. I reckon there's still a bit of gas in those cans after the last 6 months.

Before the apocalypse, Jerry and Kim were humble people. Kim was an accountant, and Jerry was a history teacher at the local high school. They were happily married, with children being just a mere thought. But after spending so much time studying history, Jerry began to prepare for the apocalypse, fearing that it would come soon. Then that day came. In the confusion, the duo stole their neighbor's odd car truck thing. Jerry loaded this vehicle up with large water tanks, gas tanks, and as many supplies as he could. They sped off into the desert, wishing to avoid human contact. Over the years, the car started having issues. Jerry had to add some support to the rear so it could carry their items, and after the windshield broke from the debris hitting it, had to replace it with metal scraps. They lived fine for 10 years, out on their own, gathering food from animals and insects. But then they ran out. Their were no creatures to be seen, or eaten. In a desperate bid to gather food, the duo went to the local encampment, having their first human contact in a decade. They first asked for food but were denied it. In response they stole 2 supply crates, praying that they had food contained within. The locals would have none of this however, and fired repeatedly at their vehicle, destroying all four tires. Jerry who was driving was injured by a bullet, but could still continue on. They made it 50 miles away, before noticing that the steering was shot. They collided with a group of rocks, far from any help. Kim was more or less fine. Jerry, however, had his leg pinned in the metal of the car after the collision. He was stuck, and in excruciating pain. Kim opened the crates to realize that they contained only alcohol. She refused to part with her loved one who was trapped in the car, and set up camp. They slowly starved to death, and ended up burning their clothes, hoping someone would see the smoke. Someone did. This someone approached the car just after the duo had drank all of the alcohol in a last attempt to be happy. They shot Kim through the leg, and took off with some of the supplies. Kim, now out of desperation, removed and ate Jerry's one good leg. Jerry starved in the car while Kim succumbed to her injuries on the other side of the door.

Ruthlessness is valued above all by the tribes of the wastelands. Ruthlessness towards enemies and those unlucky souls that wander into the territory breeds success and survival. But, ruthlessness cannot go unchecked. Slak was by all accounts ruthless. His strength and prowess on the battlefield were unrivaled, but it came at a cost, Slak was erratic and unhinged, some may even call him crazy. One moment he would calmly sit and sharpen his weapons, the next moment he would jump a fellow warrior completely unprovoked. Slak’s behavior was tolerated for many years until an outburst harmed the wrong person. Slak was working on his vehicle. Teesh, the youngest son of the tribal leader, Lord Teed, walked by and bumped into Slak. In one smooth motion, Slak grabbed a blade and slashed across Teesh’s midsection, disemboweling the young son of Lord Teed. Lord Teed was furious. Slak was exiled to the deep wastes, beyond the horizon. Slak was allowed a blade, a rifle, and all the supplies his vehicle could carry. A member of the tribe would drive him to the edge of the deep wastes and leave him and his supplies. On the journey, Slak had another idea. As they drove through an isolated ravine, Slak elbowed the driver in the face, breaking his neck. Before Slak could take control, the vehicle slammed into a rock wall. The impact broke Slak’s leg in two and split the engine block. Slak was trapped. His supplies lasted only so long. The burning, unrelenting sun beat down on him, forced Slak to abandon his clothing. To fend off death, Slak began to consume the rotting flesh of the driver. Infection and dehydration took Slak as he sat against the vehicle. He remains there to this day, another reminder that the tribes will never tame the deep wastes.

This is the most insanely inspired thing I've seen since a scale terra cotta Abattobad at the Hirshorn. It lacked figures & that's what makes this so awesome. I'm very inspired to try something along these lines as well, am a gallery oriented artist looking for a new avenue of creation. My interests lie more in the direction of science fiction which is why I think this project is so f*cking unreal!! personal response, an element I'm hoping to tap into by utilizing toys to make "art". This is a masterwork even if the intentionality differs and I'm going to recommend that the artists who will be working on the project with me take a look. We're all morbid jaded approaching middle agers who grew up on Matchbox, Hot Wheels, ALIEN and The Road Warrior. It's also cool how you are using a modern Mattel car and getting me to think of all these "new" cars as little canvases on wheels waiting to be decked out. Keep em coming!! would love to see some sort of NASA / Moon Mission creation.

I think the camera footage looked good! As far as a back story to this, here is mine: two cousins went driving in the wasteland to find an abandoned grocery store, and stumbled across a liquor store that still had some booze. After consuming a couple of bottles, they went for a drunken drive, but unfortunately ran into the rocks, which stopped their car, and ripped the oil pan open. With the car no longer working, they planned on making camp, and possibly walking out, but didn’t realize that a group of outlaws were close... the out laws killed the cousins, and for some reason left the supplies...

Looks great. And when people die in the desert they are usually found with little to no cloths. That’s a fact. I was search and rescue while living in AZ and when we went to find someone lost in the desert they were found naked or with just underwear on. Anyway looks great well done.

A very nice small little display. My personal thoughts are (based on what you said with the Ranchero), it could be that the car broke down from being overloaded, and therefore left the individuals stranded. Personally if I were in that situation, I'd say grab whatever supplies you could carry on foot, and leave the car where it sits. I think even then chances of surviving may be slim to none, but staying would only result in supplies running out, and then what do you do?

Two scavangers wrecked on their way back to the base after being chased by bandits and raiders. When they finally lost the raiders and and bandits. The drive lost conciseness due to blood loss and crashed into a rock several miles away from there camp. they were coming back to their families with much needed food and supplies. But they never got back so the families never got food or supplies and simply vanished into the waste. Also you could have made it look like they pulled into a bit of a valley to get out of the open. But that is still a nice diorama.

Well done having the bed of the vehicle be very rusty. It would trap water which would cause more rust compared to the roof or hood.

These two men were new members of a group of seemingly caring survivors. The two men, Josh and Kyle, had joined the group because they had started to run out if their own supplies and desperately needed to find somewhere safe with food and water. After all, when the stuff hit the fan with the government, it seemed like everyone had either been killed or was in the same situation as them. They lived with this group of survivors relatively happily for long enough that they were starting to feel comfortable. Josh had been wondering why small portions of his own personal supplies were missing, but he had just chalked it up to a person in the camp with skewed morals who had seen him as an easy target. When he brought it up to Kyle, he said the same thing had been happening to him. They spread the word around the camp and as it turns out, everyone had been noticing things missing. Never enough to raise concern, just a bottle of water here and a can of soup there. These things were always small enough to make people question whether or not they could have simply misplaced it. The things were always small until, one day, a person went missing. Yes, a whole, living person. This wasn’t just any person though. No, this person had been particularly keen on finding out who this thief was. While out on a supply run with one of the camp guards, he had simply vanished. You may be asking why the camp guard was out on a supply run when he should have been defending the camp. Well, the people in the camp weren’t allowed to have guns to cut down on potential violence inside the camp so a guard had to go on every run outside of the camp to offer armed protection. Anyway, this incident made people very skeptical of this guard, but after all, people dying while outside of the camp wasn’t particularly unusual, just the fact that no body ever came back to the camp, not to mention that the guard could never get his story straight. After this incident, everyone was scared to continue the rumors of a thief living in the camp and nobody dared confront the armed guard. The leader of the group didn’t seem to do anything to punish this guard either, and come to think of it, he had never punished any of the guards. The people thought this was odd because the leader was known to be a cruel man to anyone who wronged him. Throughout the following months, Kyle had worked his was up to actually becoming a guard. Josh noticed a change in Kyle, but never said anything to him, not wanting to risk losing their friendship. Josh had also worked his up in the camp though, he would load up a truck with supplies and, along with a guard, go out on multi-day scouting trips looking for potential supply routs and to make sure no other camps were intruding into their territory. After the leader of the group had very severely punished a member of the group for something that she didn’t even do, Kyle came clean an told Josh everything. He told him about how the leader was making the guards steal from people so he could feed his own greed, about how he only punished the innocent girl because she had refused to have sex with him, and most of all, about how the guards were instructed to kill anyone who the leader thought might go against the grain and try to expose a secret problem within the camp. Kyle was done working for this cruel of a man and started making a plan with Josh about how they were going to escape. Next month, when Josh was scheduled to go out on his supply run, Kyle was going with him and they weren’t coming back. They made sure to keep this plan quiet as to not alarm anyone within the camp of their escape since they knew people would snitch to gain favor with the leader. When the big day finally came, they were ready. They loaded up the Ranchero, a car they didn’t usually use, as it had been on many supply runs as well as being shot up multiple times by other groups and could not be trusted to last as many miles as the scouts went. They drove and drove as far and as fast as they could, knowing that if they were caught or suspicions were raised, they would more than likely be killed on site. Three days into the trip, and only about one hundred miles away from the camp (being forced to drive slow because of old, unmaintained roads) they knew they had to get off of the main road if they wanted to be safe from not only other groups, but theirs as well. They saw what looked to be the remanence of an old dirt road, and decided to go down that in search of any sign of water. They passed many dried up river beds but they knew those could only be used during the monsoon season which had just passed. They started seeing more greenery than usual and thought they might be coming upon an oasis. That was not the case though, probably just an underground stream, not accessible to them. Both Kyle and Josh were starting to lose hope, wondering if they should just head back to camp and say they just got lost. Both of them knew they didn’t have the resources or fuel to do that, and they trekked on. All the way until they ran out of fuel. They knew there was no way that they could walk to safety, or better yet, leave the safety of their supplies and the shelter of the car. They both knew this would be the spot that they died, but neither was giving up hope yet. Maybe the camp would send a search party out and they would be found and given a hero’s welcome. While the camp did send a search party out to find them, not thinking they had escaped, but rather that they were in trouble, they were never found. One night, when it was really cold, Josh, who knew drinking alcohol was a bad choice given their circumstances, was sleeping in the car to stay warm. Kyle however, was drunk and not feeling the cold. He was contemplating just ending it all, killing Josh and them himself. He never got the chance though as the cold overtook him and he passed away that night. Josh was deviated at this, but knew that he had to utilize his resources. He stripped Kyle down and wore his clothes to stay warm. He couldn’t bring himself to eat his friend, and thought his friends death may have been a blessing in disguise as he now had all of the water to himself. Since it was so cold out, and everything was covered in snow, his friend’s body never started to rot so he was forced to look at it while he was eating anything else he could find. After a while, about a week, all of his water had frozen and he was only getting a few drops out of spout. Basically just what the sun had melted. He resorted to drinking the alcohol that his friend had left behind. This made him feel hot in his many layers of clothing and he started to strip down. He had entered the beginning stages of hypothermia, but never even realized it because he was so drunk. The cold isn’t what got him though, no, what got him was the booze. Josh died of alcohol poisoning in the front seat of the vehicle that they both though would be their salvation. And there, between those two stone walls, is where the both sit today, three years later down that old dirt road, completely decomposed. The worst part of it all, if it wasn’t for the snow, the wood would have been dry enough to burn.

Leaving the colony was hard but watching everyone starve would be worse. No one has had meat in months, raiders weren’t even an issue out here anymore. Taking what little supplies we could we hit the road, or what used to be one. The desert was hot, way to hot. It wasn’t long and the radiator sprung a leak. A quick squeeze with a pair of pliers fixed it but we decided to travel at night. The crap fuel we were using seemed to make the motor run smoother in the cool of night anyways. We were in a pass when we saw a deer in our only headlight. With now where for it to go but straight ahead and no clean shot roadkill on a fire sounded mighty good. We nailed it but the light went out, no brakes and our ride was history. We wedged the car under a rock face, blew the radiator and spun our tires down until we were dug in pretty good. Then we blew a rod. Game over. Stuck in the outback, miles from anywhere. We lasted a few weeks and made good use of our deer, even made a tent out of its hide. In the end though the desert always wins...

Best upload yet, I feel like theese two fury adventurers either where on the run or there luck just took a turn while driving thru the desert. I dont understand where they had all the supplies from, maybe they where on the run from town to town. (Stealing supplies) Unless they where moving thru the desert and broke down, I am not surprised the car broke down. A.k.a (oil leak) (over heat) (it's a ranchero) (not good in heat) lol I agree too, if your car broke down in the desert and you had kegs of water in the back you couldn't carry. Instead of walking the desert and getting heat stroke they said there and made camp. Lived, Ate... drank, Used all there supplies. Help never came....... I like where you added the road, ppl hate but I feel like someone drove through months after and didn't even stop. Like a mad max guy.... I dont know. The stories are endless. Love your videos and luke towens videos. I am also starting to get into dioramas. Thanks for sharing.

Kleenex or bathroom tissue pulled apart into single ply would probably hold up to some light airbrushing and creasing for folds for tattered clothing and easily make nice torn edges. I'm betting it could stiffen up too with a bit of hairspray. You could probably de-ply paper towels too for a larger range scale material thickness and texture. I hope to see more in this series of wasteland diorama's. Maybe try wrinkled fender, hood, or bumper damage with aluminum duct sealing tape or heavy duty foil. It can be formed into the rough shape of the original part, then crinkled easily into realistic damage. Cut out the original section and replace.

Bob and Mike were tasked with making the monthly run to Shade Town for supplies they did this every month but this time was different. At the time the old Chevy dump truck they normally took had broken down and there were no parts available to fix it. They climbed in the rickety old Ranchero, it was the only other vehicle the village had capable of hauling supplies. They knew they weren't going to be able to carry the full complement of supplies, but the village was already past due for a supply run and the villagers were in need. Since they were using the Ranchero they could take the much less traveled narrow pass at the base of the foothills. This would shave a solid 2 days off the travel time but it was a rough road and they were unsure if the old Ranchero would be able to handle it. They made it to Shade Town with out issue. They spoke to the old trader and loaded up the supplies needed, they also were able to pick up the few parts need to fix the old Chevy dump truck. They fueled up the car and headed back through the foothills pass, they took it easy through the rough terrain. Approaching a familiar tight spot Bob lifted his foot off the throttle to find the car not slowing down, he slammed on the breaks but the barely functioning car and the weight of the heavy load of supplies the Ranchero hardly slowed down in time for the tight chicane. Bob did his best but the car slid through the tight right turn, just missing the rocks on the left. The rear end slid out to the left causing the from to point directly to a small outcrop of rocks on the right, Bob did his best to counter but the Ranchero and all is cargo prevented the car from reacting in time. The car slammed into the rocks. Bob was screaming in pain and Mike did his best to help, but Bob's hip was broken. With the doors welded closed there was no way he was even going to be able to get out of the car. Mike assessed the damage, the motor mount was broken, right side tie rod broken, the radiator was smashed and all the dirty rusty water had dumped onto the ground. They weren't going anywhere. For the next 2 weeks and 3 days Mike did the best he could to make Bob comfortable, he hunted for meat, gathered wood and kept the fire burning to keep him warm. They drank alcohol from the supplies and shared memories. On the 18th day Mike woke to find Bob had passed in the night. Mike slumped down against the car, the last of the alcohol in his hand, his trusty rifle on his lap, as he contemplated life and the loss of his good friend. He knew that he was a minimum 5 day walk through the wasteland to get back to his village. The weight of his situation and the loss of Bob settled on him heavily. He guzzled the last of what was in his bottle and lost the will to do anything for himself. With sadness overcoming him he sat until the sweet relief of death finally came for him. It is here that he remains, watching over his friend for eternity.

it's very nice, I like to think that the fuel and water were emptied long ago and then people stole the tires and the clothing as in the wasteland everything has value. of course by that logic this would be stripped down but maybe no one needed or wanted the tanks and crates. It's fun to make all these things in your head and see the outcome
